JVC GY-HD110 Film Look in 3 Minutes: Sharpness and iris settings + polarizing filter

A three-minute, three-part examination of achieving a film look with the JVC HD-110 set in 24p mode, consisting of:
A. Lowering the automatic iris settings to prevent overexposed, blown-out footage,
B. Reducing default sharpness levels to their lowest setting,
C. Using a Tiffen (or other brand) 82mm polarizing filter to taper window glare effects.
Keep in mind that this will not aid in creating shallow depth-of-field. Generally, the stock Fujinon Th16x5.5BRMU lens will focus to infinity regardless of where the focus is set unless you zoom it past ~17mm or thereabouts (depending, of course, on your f-stop, but you won't see much shallow DOF in most cases), but these settings will result in a much improved picture.
None of the footage shown here was color graded; everything is as it came from the HD110. Secondary footage of the 110 was captured with a Canon HV40.
This video also applies (though specific settings and buttons may differ) to the GY-HD111, GY-HD100/101, GY-HD200/201, GY-HD250/251, GY-HM700/701, and GY-HM750/751.
