  • I’m trying to raise my chess rating from 0 to 2000 ELO within 30 days. It’s day 8.
    RULE 1: Only Rapid Games.
RULE 2: I have to explain every single move I play.
RULE 3: I will give you a checklist of things that you must do to improve your rating.
RULE 4: If I lose a game, I have to play the GROB (worst chess opening) in the next one.
This speedrun is authorized on chess.com. The ELO points will be refunded.

Alessia if you have time to read this I'd be super happy. I've been playing chess for 1yr 2 months and your videos are so educational and helpful for me, your talk through each move helps me so much. I've got my notifications on every time you post a video, I'm loving this 30 day to 2000 elo!! Currently you're on my elo 1150-1300 so that's a great help. I honestly apreciate all your hard work you put into these educational videos and wish there was a way we could perhaps play a Rapid 10 min game online one day haha. All the best, Christiano x

Good good good! But I don’t want you to get to 2000 because I don’t want these videos to stop! :) Really love the concept and style!

    Like this series of videos!
About your question on what to play if black instead played pawn to b4 attacking the night (20:37 into the video). I think maybe you sholud take the bishop pair as you said many times, bishops are better in open positions, by playing 1.Bxc8 bxc3 2. Nxe7+ Qxe7 3. e5 and if black simply take back 1. - Rxc8 white can now save the pawn on e4 by playing 2. e5 or maybe play 2.Nd5 since the pawn on a6 is now hanging.

I have positively no clue as to how to play chess well enough beyond the 300 elo range but your videos are so entertaining. This is such an interesting series. To think that some people out there spend their whole lives trying to get to 2000 elo and you are doing it in a month or so is very inspirational.

She is already over 2000. This is just a new speedrun account to use for educational purposes like she does here. It's very useful and entertaining. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at adapting her advice ... 🫣

I need to watch your twitch streams, you are genuinely great chess instructor. You do better than most at explaining your moves in way that I understand. Guess it is also nice you happen to be beautiful and i love your personality… 😉

20:20 instead of moving the bishop back, you had
    bxf7 rxf7
    nxf7 kxf7
and then e5 attacking the knight. If the knight moves you have Qd5+ forking the king and rook

in game 3 14:22 does your opponent have Bxe6 fxe6 Nxe6 forking the queen and the undefended bishop? maybe the knight gets trapped with Q?? Nxg7 Kf7 but it looks like white has at least Bh6 to defend and that position looks dodgy for black. i always feel like i fall into tactics with black with these kinds of setups where i'm not castled yet and trading in the center creates complications.
