Really enjoying this video style! Its almost like a day in the life and its so refreshing to see especially in the chess community.
I agree 100% ❤ I love this style
Let me join the "Love this video style!" crowd. Good investment of time and money, Anna. And, of course, congrats on the win.
Same I love it
It’s more like reality tv so long as it stays reality…. ;)
She is such a sweetheart.
Pia is once again smashing the stream. She is going for the streamer of the year award xD
I’d vote for her 💯
@@tonidue9317 see i dont have twitch, but i can imagine her commentary, and she has such a soft, well thought out narrative voice.
Pia is Ace.
She seems lovely but you can't beat Juan. After that video they did playing the same position I just have Juan living rent free in my head. "No I take, I take" 😂
Pia is the GOAT at the commentary. The way she keeps up the enthusiasm and the energy is incredible. And when Anna does well she gets so excited. After Anna played a particularly nice combination In this game Pia literally said “SHE MAKE ALL THE GOOD MOVES!” It was amazing
Loved it when Anna clarified that it's "kukkurukku" instead of "kikkirriki"😂
In Germany it is Kikiriki😂
Reminds me of Cucurrucucu Paloma (sung by Caetano Veloso my favourite version)
for instance in Hungarian it is often "kukuriku" xdddd
Arrested Development vibes haha
Every language have a different interpretation of the sound that the roaster makes. In spanish is 'Quiquiriqui' or 'kikiriki'
Ive no idea how to play chess, but its always fun to watch someone explain something they are passionate about
Why dont u learn
Sometimes she gets TOO excited.
I feel the same way about Lit Up by Buckcherry.
I was watching this game live, and I too thought you were getting crushed in the middle game. In fact I felt a bit sorry for your opponent, as I’m very familiar with that feeling of “almost beat a strong player but somehow let them get away”. Still, I’ll be rooting for you again this evening!
In Spanish Roosters do go "Quiquiriqui"... Well, at least that's how it's spelled out in children's books in Venezuela/Spain. It varies, same way in English people say a dog's bark is "Woof" but in Spanish "Güao" 😂😂😂
It's interesting how differently rooster's sound is written in different languages. Here in Finland, it's spelled "kukkokiekuu".
@@MikkoRantalainen Interesting. Finnish is a tremendous language, tho. I tried learning it so I could read Mika Waltari's books in the original language... Had to give up sooner than expected.
@@AndresGomez-ct7qb Yeah, as a Finn, I wouldn't recommend learning the language. It's needlessly complex for historical reasons even though it has one good idea: the same letter has always (practically) identical pronounciation and there are not concepts like silent letters. If a Finnish word contains 7 letters, you pronounce 7 letters.
However, English with improved pronounciation rules rules to make pronuncation match spelling would be way superior language. May drop the sex from the pronouns, though.
@@MikkoRantalainen Yeah, and the grammar was a hell of a challenge. Spanish is my first language, tho, so phonetically it's more natural so pronunciación wasn't that much of an issue. It didn't help that pretty much every Finn I've met has told me not to bother learning it, and I even have a Thai friend that has worked in Finland for three years, got her PhD there, and still hasn't learned it 😂😂
@@AndresGomez-ct7qb Native Finns that haven't sacrificed any real thinking on the Finnish language seem to think that Finnish grammar is simple but there's a lot of weird stuff. For example, let's take "kissa" (cat). The plural is "kissat" (just add -t, right?). However, the plural of "poika" (boy) is not "poikat" but "pojat". And then you have to say "poikien kissat" (the cats of the boys) so the genitive plural is yet different and doesn't have the "j" in the middle! However, "pojan kissa" (the cat of the boy) does have a "j".
And that's just the nouns... each verb has a lot of inflection forms because Finnish doesn't use prepositions so all the information needs to be encoded in inflection forms. For example "kävellä" (to walk) can be transformed to "kävelisitteköhän" (I wonder if [plural] you would walk) vs "kävelisitköhän" (I wonder if [singular] you would walk).
Pia is really amazing - she analyzes every play made by both players. So through about so many options.
Do you have a link to where she does that?
Grandmasters can see from the other side of the board like it's the same as theirs. Incredible.
@@zacharysherry2910 It is amazing to me. I learned about this but to see it in action as Pia goes through future moves and possibilities as the game goes on it is just amazing. I have never seen this ability before although I had heard about it.
I love how this channel turned from learn chess with anna to learn anna with chess. ❤
😂 So true!
Great win! I love the commentary!!
Can Pia's commentary be posted as a UA-cam video, would make for a great companion piece. :)
Love this format! These days I've been looking forward to your daily vlogs and I really enjoy them, good luck for the games to come💪💪💪
So happy for your win Anna! My kids and I’ve been watching your games with Pia’s commentary; so instructive. It feels like you’re playing really well! Best of luck in the next game!!
Love your energy and enthousiastic vibe😃
I love this vlog/recap style of video, they're more enjoyable
This reminds me of how I play chess with my grandad and it's always an interesting game like this, your high quality explanations and clear representations of the value of each position is very nice. Keep it up, I'll continue to look forward to your videos
Gabriel Tupper, You know how lucky You are, Gramps is as well.
and it is slow enough to follow unlike Levy.
As a parent of children who play competitive sports, watching Pia stress out about your clock was so relatable! Her relief and joy after each great move was such a pleasure to witness. Also, the free lessons from her commentary are priceless.
They aren't free. You have to pay to watch her.
Anna spends 80% of any move talking.
Where's the COW!?
Haha maybe a bit risky 😅 would be funny to see though.
Hey Anna, thanks so so much for these recaps!!
I'm glad you have come in my feed, I appreciate you quite a lot. Thanks for your great content
Acá mirando tus videos desde Japón antes de irme a dormir como si fuera el mundial de futbol. Creo que jugue 3 veces en mi vida pero ahora siento que sé cosas jajaj Mucha suerte, Anna!!!! y que te diviertas
Great win! You were able to recover well from some hard positions! Congratulations!
NEV-ER!!... in my life did I EVER think I would be watching chess videos. No disrespect to the game but I just NEVER...found it interesting. Enter Anna Cramling!! What a bright and shining personality! You bring life to the game with your unique likeability, and social skills. WHAT??? CHESS IS FUN???!! Now I look forward to watching your chess videos. NEVER would have thought.....I'm hooked now....thank you Anna for capturing my interest long enough to discover what an amazing game chess actually is.....I am persuaded to learn how to play chess. :)
I totally agree. Then Anna and Levy changed by mind.
Congrats on the win, Anna! 🎉 Loving these videos!
Good luck with the rest of the tournament, love ur videos 👍👍
loving the vlog style video, great content :)
Go Anna! Thanks for the walk through!
So happy for you Anna! Congratulations! Do something like this again tomorrow! ;)
Really loving the format of this video! Definitely continue incorporating vlog style filming into your storytelling for future videos!
Thanks for sharing your daily games Anna. Good luck on the rest of the tournament 🥰
Great prep and win! Congratulations!
Congratulations on a good win Anna.
Thanks for posting.
We will always support you no matter what. Keep up the good work.
Well done! Good luck for the rest of the tourney!
“I sacrificed my pawn because I realized it was better to sacrifice my pawn than my king”. I love Anna’s sense of humour
Congratulations on your win, great replay lesson.
Congrats Anna, your vlogs are amazing, keep them coming! : 3
Cool video Anna, really enjoyed the game yesterday, was a bit surprised when it ended lol 😅
Your mum was amazing as usual 👍🏻
Looking forward to today's game, starts in an hour, lets go lets go 💜
Best parent and child videos in all of chess.
Great win Anna, your moms commentary is brilliant, it's great to get in the mind of a GM and see how they analyze all the moves, go Pia! 😎👍
she is more like a fm now but still stronq ))
GG! The beginning of the video looked like one of those 80's movies like Karate Kid where they show the main character training with a very 80's song in the background. Very good! 😂
Good to see you have time to do good editing video considering the time it's needed
Well done! Glad you got your first win of the tournament.
Terrific game and format Anna!!
Well done on a great win, love these type of videos 😊
Well done! Great video edit too 👌
Your videos are wholesome and entertaining, congrats.
Congrats Anna! Awesome game!
Congrats Anna! Prefect preparation!
Love this type of content!
I'm not much of a chess player, but I really enjoy watching your videos. I learned about the en passant move today, never seen that before!
It is mostly useful mid-game when the pawns are advanced and your other pieces are developed.
Great videos. My 10 year old daughter and i keep watching every new one! Good luck, from Belgium
Keep up the good work. You're a delight Anna.
Congratulations on your victory & today don't worry about when you become a grandmaster because I believe that is not too far in the future. You seem to be very confident and dedicated to becoming the best player you can be. May you be successful in the next match👍👍👍
Good stepping through and also showing your uncertainty with each move. 😇
I am enjoying your vlog style and editing . Great job
My dad once meant: If both players look superhappy while playing chess at least one of them does not unterstand what really happens on the board
Well done for winning the 3rd game! Best wishes for the rest of the tournament.....you rock , in a chess stylee !!
Wow that move c4 really showed your strength. Congrats on the win!
Heck of a game! Nice one
Congratulations on your win!! 😃
Way to go Anna!!
Very interesting concept for this video, Anna. Well done! You just keep getting better with age.
Slightly off topic: I really, really like the colors chosen for the chessboard game review. The muted shades of blue and beige are absolutely perfect and easy on the brain. Would like to see those used for future default colors. Nice game and great review!
That makes sense. I think for the majority of colourblind people, red and green look the same (they look kind of greyish.) Having this as a blue 😂(instead of the usual light green) is far more accessible for more people 😊
Really enjoying this 2013 Vlog style of your video, Anna! 😊
Anna: " It is better to sacrifice my pawn than to sacrifice my king".
Wow! Great win. Well done.
Hey Anna, can you do a video showing us how do you prepare before a tournament. It will be very helpful🎉
PS: Congratulations for that nice victory.
Love this video style 😁
Really enjoy following your exploits Anna. Just one question; how is it when you smile that smile of yours the sun comes up!? Best of luck along th way. I'll be watching. 😍
Love that big smile and sportsmanship at the start.
Anna is me before tests, predicting the exercises and studying only them.
Opponent makes a mistake:
Anna: "I felt really excited"
Opponent blunders queen:
Anna: "This puts a smile on my face"
Opponent dies:
Anna: "I'm ecstastic"
🤣
I laughed louder than I should! ))
Way to go Anna!
Enjoying these travel vlog/chess hybrid things - definitely makes you stick out as a creator
This is really cool, seeing the thinking process of the plays is awesome, and also knowing that even at this rate you can miss gives me a little hope xD (of course these mistakes are not my mistakes, my mistakes are waaaaaaaay worse 😂).
Congrats!! 🎉🎉
Playing bots I can tell you a 1200 one can be beaten with mistakes but even 1600 if you play over 80% the rest of the game, not true for 2000. It took me 90% to beat one.
Still love ur videos and your smile, stay fit & healthy 🙂& congrats on the win.
sometimes, when im losing all my chess games, i love watching you destroy some guys
Great game Anna !
Nice victory. Great video.
I played 3 brilliant moves today and mated a 2000 elo player with 3 pawns... One of the best feeling I've ever had❤
I had my first brilliant move yesterday sacrificing my knight for a fork 2 moves after :D felt like Magnus for a sec especially after I saw the !! in the analysis lmao
@@LPSilki93 nothing feels better than a brilliant move!!!
Nicely done!
Funny, that opponent gave me one of my FIDE-Arbiter norms 😅 Totally didn't expect a Berliner to show up in that video
The humble pawn can blow 'em away...
¡Great video! Greetings Anna ❤
Congrats, Anna )
Excellent game, but you got lucky with your prediction, in Chess "never let the unexpected bother you".
keep crushing it!! 💪
I can't believe he quit. Never quit! Make em beat your ass.
Well done pure class!
Congrats and good luck
Alltid lika kul att se dina videor :-)
Nice job on the videos showing the slice of life from the whole day
Congratulations!!!!!!! gluck on round 4.
Great! Congratulations. On beating Santa.
Congrats anna from better to better!! 🎉

You are one of my inspirations at chess. Thanks Anna to be such a beautiful, smart and kind girl
Hot
Christian started great and probably would have won if he had attacked more.
But you counter attacked really well. Congrats.
Enjoyed listening to your mum on twitch!
Good luck tonight!!

We need more Anna montages 😊
