I'm a Christian and I agree with her. I had two ectopic pregnancies and I didn't feel a sense of loss as a result of either. I accepted it and found other purpose for my life. I believe that we are spirits that dwell in physical bodies. When a pregnancy doesn't result in a birth, the spirit does not die; it lives on. So my children are alive, just not physically with me.
Now that Roe has been overturned, I cringe at what would've happened had I not had access to the proper health care. I feel so bad for women of child bearing age now. Vote blue to reverse these deadly decisions!
Ectopic pregnancy treatment isn't illegal everywhere in the US, and it seems to me you support it regardless.

The Senate in and of itself does nothing for legislation regarding Congress and the Executive. However some basic human rights God would be proud of like taking care of your fellow brother or neighbor. That looks like national healthcare.
@@citizenenakI mostly agree, but the Senate is literally half of Congress so it's at least 50% responsible for all the things that come out of it.
Im Catholic and pro choice. God gave everyone free will. Its no ones place to tell others what to do with their bodies. The Bible even states that life starts at first breath, not conception. Theres also a story where if one ends the life of an unborn child he shall pay a fine. If the mother dies then they should be put to death or put in jail. I know, big difference but i cant remember lol. It basically says the life of the mother is more important than a fetus.

Here's another thing people get wrong: in the book of Numbers chapter 5 there is a detailed recipe for "bitter water" an old herbal tincture specially for the treatment of unwanted pregnancies. Anyone claiming the bible isn't pro-choice has not read it through.

My grandmother thought catholics were against birth control and she confessed to her priest that she wasn't happy about her 9th kid and he was like - I'm surprised you aren't on birth control. So even like 70 yrs ago, they weren't as extreme as people might think.
@Arisaem Despite all the hooey that's reported in the media, in Catholicism there is respect for individual choices, hopefully made after a time of deep reflection. Ditto respecting OTHER people's choices. OTOH, not every parish priest agrees with this idea, so many people keep their private choices within the family.

I had 4 miscarriages and each one broke my heart but like this woman, I did not feel someone died, I felt the potential of having a child with my husband ended. I grieved what might have been. I like her take on that and this issue as a whole. I agree.

Thank you for being so brave to tell your story. I felt the same way when i lost my first pregnancy.
When my first baby boy was developing, I felt him, and I knew he was a boy!
This was a deep knowing, communicated to me through my body, and the greatest gift given to me by God.
Men who use their political power to try to interfere with childbirth should be ashamed!
It is of great importance to realize and KNOW that these same politicians do not want to SPEND A DIME on ANY BABY, CHILD, or mother AFTER birth! They vote no for funding for food or medical care. Because the truth is that THEY DON'T CARE!

I believe in the right to choose, but I also believe not taking the advice of cult members is almost always a solid play.
The thing I don’t like about stuff like this is that it implies that it matters. If your religion is at odds with human rights your religion is wrong and THATS what needs reconsideration, not other human beings. I just hate that this is even in the conversation, religion shouldn’t need to explain something is okay for it to be accepted into legislation. Religion has no place there.

Real religious people are not like her. Let's be honest
There are hundreds of millions of religious people in the US, and billions worldwide. They belong to several major religions, with many smaller ones.
Sadly, many Americans' ideas if religion is formed by rightwing evangelists all over the media. They're an extremely vocal minority and don't reflect the rest of the world's views or actions.

I am pro-life and God doesn't violate one's will to choose and decide, that's between them and God. Once that seed is planted life starts but you can't choose and decide for others in any capacity. Consequences come with good and bad choices and decisions and God is the one who hands down the consequences. If you're going to be for the lives inside the womb also be for the lives outside of the womb.
You should not be so religious to the point you're no earthly good but God doesn't make anyone serve Him it's your decision and choice but life is precious in God's sight because we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God but it's one's choice and leadership needs time stop forcing their will in others. No one should be forced to bear a child. We need to use common sense to protect the lives and rights of women, while also protecting viable fetuses and the lives of infants and children. That's Pro-life!
