So, there used to be an app called technobox for iOS over a decade ago. I loved that app and it’s been off the App Store for a long while. I’ve been waiting year after year for an app like it to appear again... and this- *WOW*. This is good times!!! Thank you!

This app is so amazing, last time I loved an Acid style synth app was Propellerheads Rebirth-338. Pure Acid is even more fun to use and produces way better sound. Besides of this app being perfect, it receives updates almost on a weekly basis, redefining perfection every time :) Congrats Jim, keep up the good work. To Acid lovers : buy this app eyes closed.

I have connected, through Blue Tooth , my AKAI LPD8, wireless controller.
Used the midi learn feature, so I can control Pure Acid app, with hardware knobs, on LPD8.
It's a match made in heaven.

Hehe...default patch from Rebirth is even in there. Bought it yesterday and already put it to good use. Imo the best sounding, hands on 303 emu out there.

I take it you can record automation!? Would be good if you could maybe add a section along with drums, bassline, seq, mixer for drawing in automation!? Just a thought 🙂

Damn! Had to pre-order. Loved Poison-202 and it’s Juno presets and this looks like the a nice acid equivalent of a TB-303. Be interesting to see how it how’s up to the hardware.

This takes me back to the rubber duck days 338 with DAS on a x486 Pentium II 8GB ram on windows 95 with SB16 sound card. Some of the patches here were ripped directly from it, via 1995!
I would Jims stuff as windows vst. Its so good. Or in Reason rack would be awesome (especially with there ability to turn rack extensions into hardware quite easily)

Parameter automation for bass and fx please and Au3 would be nice. Great sound and sequencer randomization
Reminded me of my tb303 clone I wrote for Buzz Tracker. Wery well done, you have replicated every single detail. Does it accumulate the accent envelope? I couldn't spot it in the demo.
Where is the manual for this App, I been looking everywhere?

You could also create an actual synth-only TB-303 skinned version with the original UI & sequencer for the pleasure of the original TB-303 experience.

It will not work on iOS versions prior to 10.

Main recommendation before trying it is changing that app icon (now early in the marketing, so it won't be a big deal to do it later). WHY put that app icon on that app??? Really inappropriate. It's not a jungle app. Seems like a great app though!

Please add a drum random generator somehow, maybe as an additional module along with the mixer, sequencer etc and a toggle switch to inject some glitch style drums live as well. Or include it as an automation parameter to an automation module or even a seperate AU. Cheers
Hesitating buying. All the presets sound pretty much the same with slight variations in drum patterns. Looking for a better example of what PA can do.

This is way better than the Roland cloud or any of the crap replicas made last few years. The only rival , apart from original is the newly released fully analogue behringer tD-3 🔥 ... it’s 150 euros though , compared to 10$$ ❤️😂

Nice App with great sounds. Very intuitive so far, BUT we all need help how to create and (re)order the drum patterns ... Nobody not even in the ipad musicans goup could figure this out yet ... Please Jim .. EDIT: I just found out that one can 'chain' patterns together to a 'song mode' .. you craete your single patterns and than tap on the first pattern and slide along to e.g. the third pattern. Those will than be played one after each other. And this 'chain' is also saved. Hope we soon get a 'real' drum pattern editor/sequencer in a future Release (next to AUV3 , a Manual and an UNDO Button ) .. Again .. WELL DONE ,..

So...bought that app and it's generally GREAT...ALTHOUGH PLEASE ADD A WAY TO EASILY CHANGE THAT HORRIBLE APP ICON (and in upper right hand side of app) to something that isn't HORRIBLE. Thanks in advance. (Instagram had an icon chooser on an anniversary or something, so know it is possible) (And yes, the app icon AND the icon on the upper right side in that app)...AGAIN...jungle is metalheads...that is a DIFFERENT GENRE...
MANY people that love this genre LOVE PURE BEAUTIFUL BLISS, not degeneracy.
If want to make a jungle drumpads app, where loops are synch'd and trigger on beat, I encourage that also. Look up "Junglator" for some inspiration.

You know, there was a time when I truly valued music for its innovation & mystique. But this demonstrates perfectly how it's now just become the worst kind of spam.
I think maybe if music were banded for say 20 years? Society might.. just might be able to hear value in it.
But any old pinhead can simply scroll through spam templates & spread even more spam now.

For starters, please refer me to any time where BANNING or CENSORING a substance, idea, way of life, ever did anything but make it flourish in the long run? Or hell even sometimes on rare chance the short outcome even.
ALSO please do show me a artist who went on a simple app, used a template or two, and then became a world famous artist. Fuck I'll make it easier, show me someone who just had a one hit wonder without having any user input in the actual song at all. Meaning they hit a button and said okay done.

There's still people buying guitar amplifiers that "sound" like old amps, buying vintage synths, guitar pedals, old recording gear, new guitar pedals, samplers, there's a whole business about buying drum samples, bass samples, synth presets, vocals royalty free, all that exists thanks to ignorance, if you want to make music you don't need all that, you are just being invaded by sellers, music is not so hard to come by, it just takes oneself to make it, to be interested.
