Sleeper songs are usually my favorite songs of any group's discography so I love this. Plus more lines for Jong Up!!! I also appreciate how Zelo went from this young kid with crazy skills to this laid back, confident rap style. So good.
@@Killdeer25 He's pretty quiet and awkward offstage. Also more known for his dancing than his singing but he clearly kept working to improve. For his peak Time audition he sang One Shot entirely on his own while dancing, on an empty soundstage with a panel of show producers as judges. He broke down when he finished because he was emotional about being on the show without his members who were either serving their military or had conflicting solo schedules. They didn't show his audition until the end. All the groups on the show were either post military or label contract, or groups that had debuted but hadn't got much traction, or rookie groups that didn't have any performance experience because it was the pandemic. So everyone was there to jump-start their careers but they were all not allowed to reveal their real group names to make them all equal, although of course fans of each group knew who they were and some of the older groups had been quite successful. The opening episode they all did covers and one rookie group did No Mercy. Then they revealed the artists who were there solo at the end. Everyone reacted, even the celebrity judges, when Jong Up came out and the rookies that did his song lost their minds. So that was my intro to him and at that point I didn't know he was from B.A.P. Only that everyone got excited when he came out. I was beyond intrigued. Later watching his journey and realizing he was from B.A.P, whose story I knew, and then seeing his audition tape he was definitely my bias and I spent weeks listening to B.A.P. Anyway, highly recommend Peak Time among all the competition shows because some of the group's stories were so incredible. And the celeb judge line up was Kyuhun (as in KRY), Tiffany from SNSD, Moon Byul from Mamamoo, Gikwang from Beast/Highlight, Sungkyu from Infinite, MINO from Winner and Jay Park formerly from 2PM but now a huge solo artist with his own label. It was a stacked panel! Famous actor/singer Lee Sung Gi hosted. Honestly they could have auditioned accountants for the broadcast company and I would have watched for those judges.😄
I really love and have tons of feelings about Honeymoon- it's basically their leaving TS/disbandment song but it's so full of hope which the tropical feel gives it and really captures how all of us were happy they were almost free of TS. The mv is beautiful and there is a lot of symbolism going on in it. I also always get so proud at Yongguk's "I know you hate it but I'm freer than I've been" line like hell yeah you tell them Gukkie. Jongup really got to shine in this song too which was awesome to see his vocal improvement and work.
ohhh this is their goodbye song? interesting that is really a nice detail, its like a vacation feel to it, I agree, he has earned so much respect from me, I am always going to support Yongguk
@@Killdeer25 Yeah they actually had one more mini album and promotion period after this for Hands Up but everyone knew that they weren't going to re-sign by this point and that Yongguk and Zelo would be leaving first since they signed with TS first before the others.
Like others mentioned, its such a bittersweet song. But when their contracts ended it really did feel like a honeymoon. I think we all have a tiny bit of hope they'll make music together again (the 5 of them). Pretty sure in an interview Yongguk said he wanted to create the last B.A.P album. Also, why does everyone look so good in this performance?
I feel so bad that they feel like that, sadly. I hope that they do decide to create that last album as well. good question? they are all good looking guys
@@Killdeer25they just managed to release a mini Album with 4 of the current members as BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON (which are their family names) as they can’t use B.A,P due to the trademark still being held by there former management agency. ZELO is currently doing his military enlistment and the former sixth member is persona non grata due to his crimes. I hope you get the chance to take a look at the recent release called “curtain call“.
Again i love this song but it also makes me sad as you know the end is near . . I see others have said about some of the copie right on there songs will be freed up but also The name B.A.P will become available so here’s hoping as we know there still all in contact with each other . Zelo is now serving his country and I think he may be the last one . Though I’m not sure if Jong-up has . Anyway here’s hoping we get something from them it would be fantastic
I heard someone say that Jong Up recently released some new music, I think the best case scenario is they get the copyright then they kick Himchan out and resume as BAP under their own label or go join a small label of a veteran group like Infinite Company
@@Killdeer25 Yes Jong-up recently had a new track out called XOX it was on the back of being part of the program Peak time which was very good . And the track was also good as well he definitely showed off his great vocals and dancing skills to there fullest . As for Himchan well he’s paying the price for what he did hopefully he will get the help he needs and in the future I hope he can give something back to society but he will never again be part of B.A.P that is definite
I have mixed feelings about this song. It's clearly the impending death of B.A.P. There's even a gravestone in the MV. Yongguk has blood on his hands, but there's so much hope for the future, their futures once they break away from TS. They were so clearly ready to leave and even though this wasn't their last song, it was the signal to us all that this phase of their life was ending. They were done with TS, but not necessarily completely with B.A.P. They're all still in contact with each other so that gives us hope that they might work together again in the future (without Himchan of course). I believe that at least some of TS's copyrights are about to expire, so fingers crossed.
oohh you're right, I hope so! I did google to see what has happened and someone wrote that Daehyun actually went to a fan meeting meeting at a Cafe. lets hope that things can continue.

I agree, Jong Up feels pretty underrated to me, kind of looked over

Jongup is such a special talent
this has been on my 'walking to work' playlist for years
oh, is that right?
X2
Let Jong Up shine!!!
