Fantastic video Costa, understood this unlike all the posts in the forum. This function was completed in the Multiplex radios and came with a pop up warning in the display that said you had high throttle. Can expand this with a spoken warning to pull back the throttle. Thank you very much.
Made a voice notification to "pull down the throttle". Almost the same as Costa did here with one more virtual switch but with a Lock RS logic.@@CVHeliPilot

Hello @@superleeds1966could you please describe the steps to accomplish that?
Great video, many thanks for taking the time. Very helpful, I'm close to making the jump to Powerbox Atom from MPX Evo and setting up this safety feature will be important for me.
Hi Costas, Thank you for your excellent UA-cam videos that convey more than words. I have an Atom transmitter and would like to have the same functionality as you show in your video for my electric planes. However, in Virtual Switches under Logic, I do not have the option to choose Lock SR. I only have the options OR or AND. Is it still possible to program the functionality you described in the video?
Yes...You just require to program an additional virtual switch. I posted an example of this on the PowerBox forum a while back. Look under the 'How To' videos on the forum and you should find it. This was before they introduced the Lock SR/RS feature in the last software update. Let me know if you cannot locate it...
Just like on a patrol engine , so you have a high idle when flying and then, flick the switch and and it drops it back down….. Also later could you do a video on how to,setup the I gyro sat as well please, as I will using one very soon on a jet…..
@@antonyboycott4026 I now have a Mercury SR2 so planning to make the next few videos on setting that up. One if the vidios will cover the iGyro setup. With regards to the high idle... You can just setup a new function called say Hi-Idle and assign a switch etc to it. Set it to operate on the throttle channel and then modify the function curve for this new function so when you flip the switch the lower section of the throttle is bumped up a little (increases idle setting) hiwever the remainder if the curve is unaffected (use the multiple points on the curve to do this). You can then set the rate % to determine how far to shift that lower part if the curve up and down.
I am a German model pilot. So please excuse my bad English. I have programmed this motor protection with restart lock on my ATOM. However, there were safety problems in the following configuration: The 3-way switch was in the hold position and the motor stick was at 60%, for example. So far OK. The motor did not start. However, when I moved the motor stick to 0% with the 3-way switch still in the HOLD safety position, the motor started briefly. Safety problem!!!! Solution is EASY: Only set shut-Off-Time to Zero! Shut -ON-Time can kept > Zero eg 1 sec! NO Safety Problem anymor (after setting Shut-Down-time in FUNCTION on ZERO) I checked all the servo cut-off and virtual switch settings several times, and could not find any setting errors. Then I discovered the cause of the malfunction: I had programmed a ramp-up time of 1 sec and a ramp-down time of 1 sec in the MOTOR function. When I set these two times to 0 seconds, the safety problem disappeared. The acceleration and deceleration times were deliberately chosen to allow the motor to start and stop smoothly. Now my questions to the experts: Can I set soft start and soft stop of the electric motor by using a different setting option in the atom than in the function times? Now the Solution of my question before : There is only the need to set the Function-time DOWNwards on ZERO. The Function-time UPwards can be kept > Zero, eg 1 sec. Thanks. The Enhanced Throttle Safetx Switch works now ver fine.!!!! There is NO Safety problem anymore!!!

Hello Sir! QQ, let's say I want a voice setting for example to say "kill switch, ON" vs "kill switch, OFF", this is not possible if I set the virtual switch as the control triggering the voice setting, right?
This is fairly easy as you can add additional voice prompts simply by going into the voice menu and add a voice for any switch positions you like. Just make sure they dont clash with any flight mode voice announcents...🙂 You can trigger off a physical switch or a logic switch depending in what you want to achieve.

Thank you very much for these exceptional videos for us Powerbox Core users!
Thank you for these videos. They have made transitioning to the Core so much easier. It is an exceptional system.

Yes of course you can add an audio warning as well....Good idea..!

Hi ya great teaching videos, would be lost without them, could you go a bit further on the electric side, of having an idle up switch please.
Hi Antony...Do you just need a high idle setting similar to an IC engine setup? Or do you require something like an idleup function on helis..?
