I'm surprised that the Saints delisted Membrey. I actually had a slight preference for North trading for him instead of Darling because he is 4 years younger and much cheaper. He played 19 games last season for 30 goals and an average of 6 marks per game. I thought North shouldn't have delisted Taylor before the draft because there was a slight chance that he could have been involved in a trade. He has good marking ability and has good natural ability, but perhaps not quite the willingness to give his all. That attitude could change in a new environment after it has just been made very clear to him that his next chance will be his last.
Fantastic list of players, so many guys who may get another run or are just at the wrong end of their shelf life or have not had a decent run or been interrupted by injury. 💙💛🦅🏆
What do you think about the following trades of draft picks - Richmond trade picks 6 and 11 to North Melbourne for Pick 2 and West Coast trade picks 12 + Future First (tied to Carlton) to St Kilda for Pick 8, then I reckon high chance Richmond took Sam Lalor and Finn O'Sullivan, then Cartlon draper and adelaide end up with jagga smith
Great vid! Kind of disappointed to lose Culley. I can understand why we think he might not be AFL standard but I thought he’d shown more than others and deserved a year or so. Also wonder what happened with Burgeil, I know he’s been injured but a former pick 29 is usually thrown a lifeline
That is quite the scoop True Footy about Ben Paton being delisted. As a saints fan I'll be saddened if Tim Membrey leaves he's been a fan favourite. Maybe we need to be tougher with our list management anyway if we are to climb the ladder.
Sorry mate should clarify - I have no scoop. I read an article suggesting GWS were interested in Paton as a DFA - but sounds like he could still be signed by the Saints? I missed the finer detail there - but the Giants were reportedly interested
Parfitt was a roleplayer at best, but probably didn't stand out in such a good team. For a team starving of experience, he would be a solid pickup. I was excited when we got Hardie and very disappointed that we didn't even get to see what he could do in a debut game. My understanding is he simply wouldn't run both ways. Excellent in contest and going forward, but lacked any defensive pressure.

Denver has left the club de listed and it wont net hawthorn anything in return so you know theres no cap, id almost call it negligence if anorher club thats struggling or both WA clubs have a look at 1 yr deal for DGB. He might not be good enough but hasnt had many if any afl minutes which i feel he'd be much more suited to than a VFL level, you cant tell me he isnt good enough to get a year on that west coast list, if hes shit he gets binned, if he proves his worth youd keep him around for longer surely seeing hes a former top 6 pick and is a WA boy, similar shades to Jack Scrimshaw when we got him for peanuts from gold coast who also thought he was worth de listing at the time. If denver had plenty of afl exposure i wouldnt be saying this but i think on a developing list he could get a 1 year deal. On high confidence could be a different player at a new club.
I'd like to see Sam Weideman find another club. I think he'd do okay floating around either Geelong's back or front lines, where he doesn't have to be a key position player, but add some height and mobility.
dont think there's any value in half backs that cant intercept or have elite foot skills anymore, unless they have some other outstanding attribute ie toughness
If Kreuger dodnt have his shocking injury history, he'd still be on our list. His attitude is great, he's borderline reckless in his attack on the contested footy and is a big unit. I hope he gets one more chance elsewhere.
He's a great man-on-man player but he gets lost in Melbourne's zone defence. I hope he stays because can fill a role at times but I'm sure he'd get more game time at a lot of other clubs.
I predicted DGB would be a bust before we drafted him (I had watched three of his junior games). I became extremely worried about Hawks talent scouts and nothing they have done since then at the draft has changed my mind.

We were also carrying one over recruiting Hutchinson this year. So that becomes 5 list spots left - while making this vid I thought it was suggested Rotham would get another contract but it appears he has been delisted now. But if we had just 4 list spots, I would consider that not many given the draft hasn't happened yet. Maybe they now sign DGB as a DFA, trade a pick into this years draft and take 3 picks + Malakai Champion.

Gollant from the crows must find a club - The kid can pluck a mark and kick a goal and be a great 2nd or 3rd tall project player - Played well in the sanfl but nicks burned him in the seniors behind walker Fog and Filthy
