On my van, I had a gen- start installed..before leaving on a trip(worked for an airline) I would program it to to start my generator when the battery got to a certain level...it's a beautiful thing. Love this deal
I am in shock with you having the complete system for that price, even though it is a small living space. We have solar, but no backup solar battery for our home. The solar was spendy, but adding a battery for us is just too costly at this time, and there are no signs of them going down in price. We are, of course, on grid. We love the solar. We live in an area of seasons, so winter is not as productive. This is a win-win for your customers.
Might want to look at untied solar for your extra backup battery then. I'm grid tied too in a big old house, but I realized that my emergency solar backup needs could be met with a couple of EcoFlow River solar generators, each with an extra battery. They charge real fast and last a long time and have enough power to run the essentials like a 6-cubic ft frig or upright freezer. What Randy's selling is the ideal setup; I'm talking about people who might not actually be in the market for a tiny just now or they're on a long waiting list. That's many of my friends, and I share some of these videos with them bc I believe in the product as much for the sake of others as I would myself.

*QUESTION* 🙋🏽♀️… how safe is the incred-a-box in lightning storms being a metal box and all, is it something we (buyers) should be concerned about? Are there any safeguards in place to protect people living in it?
It is safe, and actually safer than a normal home made of wood because the metal will not catch fire. If it remains on the trailer the tires are grounded same as a car, and if on a concrete foundation the steel building actually acts as a shield and directs all currents to the ground. If you're extra concerned, you can take measures like installing a cheap LPS (lightning protection system) to protect your appliances and anything that may fry due to a lightning strike which are the only things truly at risk of damage.

From my admittedly low understanding of electricity, metal acts a conductor right, and that being the case anything in contact with the home would get fried such as appliances and electronics (as you mentioned)… but what if the BUYER is in contact with the building? When my old microwave with the single turn knob died, I absolutely hated the new one - it looked like an airliner cockpit! Now I might never fully use its entire capacity, but I only had to learn a little bit new to do exactly what I was doing with the old one. Just push a couple buttons instead of turning a knob. I could do that much - and so can you! Same way you eat an elephant - one bite at a time. From afar the only thing new I can guess you'd face is learning to keep an eye on the battery level, probably just the same as you already do with your cell phone. You got this, pal! After all, what you're using in this communication here - the internet and a cell or computer - each have more power than what it took to send men to the moon and back. But they're user friendly. So is a readymade solar setup. You don't need to know squat about installation or construction.

Absolutely ad fab Randy. I'm off grid totally. Just a note we do have a winter and so have to clear the snow off the panels as it snows. How are the winters there? Snowwise? It is something you will have to consider and be agile to do this as if they are mounted on the roof. (Buy the package which is fab) but for some people they may want to remount on wooden brackets outside your home ( best place where the sun is most). Just wanted to be realistic . Like I said I'm off grid and it's amazing 👏 😌 🙌
Been thinking in the future of buying a camping trailer. In the back of my mind I think a tiny home that lasts 50 years versus a camper that’s value goes down substantially in 5-10 years would be a no-brainer. The only thing that gives me pause is will you have trouble finding a place to stay if you want to use it as a camper. This solar set up is a great idea by the way

Yes. Totally. I have 2 100 watt panels on my Van and they are attached the same way. They are fixed and do not move. I’ll just came back from traveling to California and back to Michigan in my van and had no issues with the solar panels. Hope that helps. Cab

Most rural area lose power during storms and I get that so if you have this set up you will be good….. also if you use biodegradable soaps you won’t be polluting any thing
I understand the concept that the roof was tested with various weight . However, the steal is not super heavy metal with the weight was not tested over a prolong period of time. That kind of test needs to be added for liability purposes anyway and secondly to ensure if the top can withstand however weight overtime. It is a legitimate concern that perhaps you guys have not taken into consideration and might be a factor over time. Plz make a study with model roof and test weight over time or put in place reinforced materials for safety reasons so the consumer is reassured
@@indigosamuel8344 No, engineered structural panels don't just weaken over time. While their combined weight was orders of magnitudes far greater than those panels could ever impose on the roof, especially as it was all focused to one small area of the roof as they stood together roughly over the kitchen. While the panels are spread over the whole roof and not focusing their weight at all. It's like saying something that withstood the weight of an elephant standing over its weakest point would fail over time from the weight of feathers spread over its surface. The weight would have to be a lot closer to what it withstood to even be remotely a concern as it withstood that weight with no flexing or any indication it was being stressed to its limits or not. So it could handle even more weight than they tested... Really, solar panels like those get installed even on RV's and they have much more frailer structure than a tiny house and yet they do fine... You might as well be worried that the structure will collapse under its own weight...
Praying I can find the money for two. I have the land. House leaks and falling in. All ready losing power in house one Circuit aca time . now running water unless I run it and composting toilet is no problem. Praying I find the money for this.

Debt is slavery anyway, and you might as well hold a match to your $ as hand it over to a landlord. I'm sure space rent from Randy would be as equitable as possible, and meanwhile you might even well be able to save enough to someday buy an acre or so of your own. It's the only real security in this world, owning your own home.

Absolutely ad fab Randy. I'm off grid totally. Just a note we do have a winter and so have to clear the snow off the panels as it snows. How are the winters there? Snowwise? It is something you will have to consider and be agile to do this as if they are mounted on the roof. (Buy the package which is fab) but for some people they may want to remount on wooden brackets outside your home ( best place where the sun is most). Just wanted to be realistic . Like I said I'm off grid and it's amazing 👏 😌 🙌
Been thinking in the future of buying a camping trailer. In the back of my mind I think a tiny home that lasts 50 years versus a camper that’s value goes down substantially in 5-10 years would be a no-brainer. The only thing that gives me pause is will you have trouble finding a place to stay if you want to use it as a camper. This solar set up is a great idea by the way
I'd think be no difference than a 5th wheel rig or a truck pulling a camper. Lots of RV places as well as FREE boon Docking ( off Grid ) options !
You won't run into trouble at most campgrounds with a Tiny home. I know quite a few people with them who have traveled the whole country.

Yes. Totally. I have 2 100 watt panels on my Van and they are attached the same way. They are fixed and do not move. I’ll just came back from traveling to California and back to Michigan in my van and had no issues with the solar panels. Hope that helps. Cab

Okay so if you go up and down the road with the Incred-I-Box with solar, will the panels on top be safe?
I'm sure they will be mounted flat, so there should be no problem. There are tens of thousands of skoolies and vanlifers scooting around with their panels on the roof.
Of course. Many folks now living as NOMADS in vans have solar panels on their roofs
You'll need to check the panels regularly to be sure they're still secure and not cracked.

5 or 6 grown men and Amanda stood on the roof in a previous video. I’m sure the roof will hold 4 light weight solar panels.
I understand the concept that the roof was tested with various weight . However, the steal is not super heavy metal with the weight was not tested over a prolong period of time. That kind of test needs to be added for liability purposes anyway and secondly to ensure if the top can withstand however weight overtime. It is a legitimate concern that perhaps you guys have not taken into consideration and might be a factor over time. Plz make a study with model roof and test weight over time or put in place reinforced materials for safety reasons so the consumer is reassured
@@indigosamuel8344 No, engineered structural panels don't just weaken over time. While their combined weight was orders of magnitudes far greater than those panels could ever impose on the roof, especially as it was all focused to one small area of the roof as they stood together roughly over the kitchen. While the panels are spread over the whole roof and not focusing their weight at all. It's like saying something that withstood the weight of an elephant standing over its weakest point would fail over time from the weight of feathers spread over its surface.
The weight would have to be a lot closer to what it withstood to even be remotely a concern as it withstood that weight with no flexing or any indication it was being stressed to its limits or not. So it could handle even more weight than they tested...
Really, solar panels like those get installed even on RV's and they have much more frailer structure than a tiny house and yet they do fine... You might as well be worried that the structure will collapse under its own weight...
