Put that body waste in the toilet too. That sure might encourage better hygiene. I mean washing your hands in a sink behind someone spat yuck its like washing your hands in the toilet.
I believe of all the tiny home reviews you have done this one was absolutely the best. I really enjoyed seeing the construction of Janells home. The way you took the time to show us the quality construction of the V wall planks, the sliding doors, the stair railing, the overall quality of materials used and how she did not sacrifice space for quality. The video was calm and unhurried. Janelle did an awesome job holding the camera steady and following your lead, neither of you talking over the other. I wasn’t dizzy after this video, just in awe of the construction and beauty of this tiny home. Very professional and yet personably done. This home is absolutely beautiful. This tiny house is so well decorated. She added lovely touches. It looks better than some apt. In New York. The layout of the house is adequate for any single person, with or without money or job. I like it.

You are so right this tiny home is just about perfect! The location, oh my goodness, she must be so sad to give that up. Cocoa beach is really pretty but I would have a hard time giving that up. The cherry on top is that half bath upstairs, if you have to have your bedroom upstairs, you need a bathroom, especially if you are older. I wish her good luck and hope for the best with her move.
That is a long way from an upstairs bathroom that is a toilet place next to the bed you put the lid down on the toilet and you could use it as a bed side night table
Cute but a lil cramped upstairs. Also cramped in downstairs bath, but I like the stacked W/D in there. Just wouldn't wanna bump our knees squeezing thru to the commode. Also what is height of ceiling over kitchen area? Cause this guy must be like 5'5" or so. My guy is 6'2". Wouldn't wanna doink his head.

And there's a 3rd bed under the downstairs TV right? I'd miss that stream though. I would NOT want to sleep upstairs and have to navigate stairs or ladders multiple times at night.
This was one of the best I've seen. I appreciate the "normal" stairs. The upstairs bathroom was a great idea. I might have gone with a lower ceiling height to accommodate more headroom upstairs. To Jane Irvine… Yes! I agree with your comment about sacrificing some first floor head room to gain height in loft. Neither my husband nor I would be able to do the stairs. We & our teenage son, lived, for 5+ months, in our 25’ camper when we were having a home built. It was one of the best experiences we ever had! Of course, we had to rent a storage unit so we did have our extra clothes etc there as we were both working full time and our son was in high school. I would absolutely love to live in a tiny house. I’m happy for the woman who has this lovely home.
this house was so cozy and so functional, she has everything she needs and we all know that loft bathroom is fabulous, dont have to crawl down to pee and that porch! girl yes
Since there are stairs from that loft, I think I'd prefer not to have a possibly smelly toilet in my room. Lol I would rather use that space for storage, etc. I would make that porch a full room since there isn't room for livingroom furniture in the other room. Other than that I like it, especially the stairs instead of a ladder to the main bedroom.

This is the first tiny house I have ever seen with an upstairs toilet!!!! Now that is good....I have been hesitant about looking at tiny houses, for that very reason. Now I know it can be done. I am happy!!!!
Very very nice. One of my favorites yet.The wood make it more homey and cozy, like you live in a cottage. The fact that there is a tub, bonus. I woould get that any home wider than 8', though. greatly increases the cost of transport, because it is considered a wide-load and may, by law, require a separate truck in front and maybe even in back to announce "wide load - caution".
I agree - even with the steps -(bad hips), with slightly shorter rise to the steps - this would be totally perfect. However, I would love to know why they don't want these lovely houses on their property? I could so live there - happily.

The house would be great for one person, maybe two. It was well thought out and executed to maximize all of the space. The area she has the house set on is incredible as well. It has a back porch that overlooks a stream/river! Fabulous-I'd be on that porch all summer curled up with a good book or fishing!
This was one of the nicest homes I have seen. Perfectly laid out...incredible details. Love the full size appliances, tub, w/dryer. Great bedroom closet... and wow...sink and toilet too!
What a FABULOUS home!!! This definitely should be a model, including the screened in porch. They could move both and connect them at the destination. I could see where having an upstairs bathroom would be a benefit if not a necessity.
I would love to know why they no longer want tiny homes. So hard uprooting when you had no intentions on relocating. This maybe the reason she purchased her land vs leasing or renting and seems disinterested in moving to Newport, TN ITH. Wish her the very best and sorry for her inconvenience and expenses. She definitely has a beautiful and unique home.
There are several reasons why the tiny home fat is dying out. First of all the costs are skyrocketing second of all it's a problem for some people that are no longer ambulatory and cannot climb stairs when they have a loft. The Lost just too short for some people and it is difficult for them to find property to store it and they're very hard to get rid of this you don't like it
Oh this is the first one I have ever seen with a bathroom up stairs and big closet with no climbing a ladder. Nice decoration. Plenty of space for your food with the pantry and refrigerator. My family usually stay at Brothers Cove, traveled to Newport to buy some Jeep parts and passed Incredible tiny homes on the way. After watching the video on their website , I have the utmost respect for this guy! Even Inspiring! Love your Can Do Attitude I will be showing the video in my woodworking class this week!
What a really cute house. And The way she decorated it, really made it a home. I love the addition of the porch, I think that's super important, some kind of outdoor living space. It makes the whole living area feel much more expansive. It just stinks that they just up a decided they don't want tiny homes there anymore...I wonder why?!

We are going to have a toilet in our loft as well. The toilet tank will also have the washbasin. Just keep watching Randy’s videos and one day you all will see the toilet, bidet and washbasin all in one. What more does a person need in a small bathroom?
This is a great layout, especially with the upper bathroom and the porch. And it has been so nicely decorated. The only exception would be that I would need the bedroom ceiling to be taller.

I think it was 2-1/2 yrs until he was able to get there to seal the knots because of bleed through. Isn’t that what he said? I think he did it for free.
What a warm, wonderful home. I love the normal stairs & the bathroom upstairs, the hanging closet. Janell did a great job w design & decor. Builders did a great job w the build. Just awesome.

Beautiful tiny home. I like one-level living so I would not use the 2nd floor; but would have guests use it if they wanted. It would be great on a rock area overlooking the beach and ocean.

It would cost a lot more than that today-that was wood prices 3 years ago. The walls are entirely 1 x 12's. The boards are 12" wide---the house is solid wood walls-that's one of the reasons it's $62k three years ago. These aren't built like yesterday's house trailers or even today's RV's. The foundation and walls are solid-instead of being built on a concrete foundation, they are built on specially built trailers for this application. I am not trying to be a know it all but have been studying, researching this "movement" since Jay came out with his first book on his first build. I'm sorry I'm having a bad day and cannot think of his last name.

I was thinking the same thing. Without a second door (the one going out to the porch), it seems that is where a couch/loveseat could fit. A porch could always be built out front, if need.

I think that is why the one table can be lifted up out of the way. She said she just always leaves it down. I guess since she lives by herself she doesn’t need a sofa.
There is room for a sofa - on the TV wall. Just don’t have a long chest utilizing that area under the TV placement. I would not even have a TV in the lounge area. There is one in the bedroom. I don’t even watch TV - quit all forms of indoctrination in July 2016.

I am having a shed moved to my property in the spring so I have been watching videos regarding tiny homes. It is amazing what you guys do!

Id enclose it fully and make it a Florida room with glass windows for winter. You could use it year round.

This was one of the nicest homes I have seen. Perfectly laid out...incredible details. Love the full size appliances, tub, w/dryer. Great bedroom closet... and wow...sink and toilet too!
What a FABULOUS home!!! This definitely should be a model, including the screened in porch. They could move both and connect them at the destination. I could see where having an upstairs bathroom would be a benefit if not a necessity.
I would love to know why they no longer want tiny homes. So hard uprooting when you had no intentions on relocating. This maybe the reason she purchased her land vs leasing or renting and seems disinterested in moving to Newport, TN ITH. Wish her the very best and sorry for her inconvenience and expenses. She definitely has a beautiful and unique home.
Yes I agree. Very curious why they no longer want tiny homes. My guess is it has something to do with making more $$$ but who knows?
People have had a lot of problems with putting their tiny home on a parcel of land. So many cities/towns won't allow them.
My thing was at tiny home as you have to pay to buy land or pay to rent land and that's a fortune
There are several reasons why the tiny home fat is dying out. First of all the costs are skyrocketing second of all it's a problem for some people that are no longer ambulatory and cannot climb stairs when they have a loft. The Lost just too short for some people and it is difficult for them to find property to store it and they're very hard to get rid of this you don't like it

Oh this is the first one I have ever seen with a bathroom up stairs and big closet with no climbing a ladder. Nice decoration. Plenty of space for your food with the pantry and refrigerator. I would say this is the best designed tiny house I’ve seen. Nice and cozy for one person but more than one person it would be tight!

My family usually stay at Brothers Cove, traveled to Newport to buy some Jeep parts and passed Incredible tiny homes on the way. After watching the video on their website , I have the utmost respect for this guy! Even Inspiring! Love your Can Do Attitude I will be showing the video in my woodworking class this week!
What a really cute house. And The way she decorated it, really made it a home. I love the addition of the porch, I think that's super important, some kind of outdoor living space. It makes the whole living area feel much more expansive.
It just stinks that they just up a decided they don't want tiny homes there anymore...I wonder why?!

We are going to have a toilet in our loft as well. The toilet tank will also have the washbasin. Just keep watching Randy’s videos and one day you all will see the toilet, bidet and washbasin all in one. What more does a person need in a small bathroom?

This is a great layout, especially with the upper bathroom and the porch. And it has been so nicely decorated. The only exception would be that I would need the bedroom ceiling to be taller.

I think it was 2-1/2 yrs until he was able to get there to seal the knots because of bleed through. Isn’t that what he said? I think he did it for free.

What a warm, wonderful home. I love the normal stairs & the bathroom upstairs, the hanging closet. Janell did a great job w design & decor. Builders did a great job w the build. Just awesome.

What a beautiful home she has. She has everything she needs and it is decorated up so pretty. If I could climbs stairs I would want to have a place like this. My light bill is so high each month and just imagine how little it would cost me to live in a place like this.

I wonder what the reason was for them deciding against the tiny homes? I remember the videos of this place and how they talked about developing the other parts of the land for more tiny homes. It seemed like a really nice place!

Beautiful tiny home. I like one-level living so I would not use the 2nd floor; but would have guests use it if they wanted. It would be great on a rock area overlooking the beach and ocean.

It would cost a lot more than that today-that was wood prices 3 years ago. The walls are entirely 1 x 12's. The boards are 12" wide---the house is solid wood walls-that's one of the reasons it's $62k three years ago. These aren't built like yesterday's house trailers or even today's RV's. The foundation and walls are solid-instead of being built on a concrete foundation, they are built on specially built trailers for this application. I am not trying to be a know it all but have been studying, researching this "movement" since Jay came out with his first book on his first build. I'm sorry I'm having a bad day and cannot think of his last name.

I was thinking the same thing. Without a second door (the one going out to the porch), it seems that is where a couch/loveseat could fit. A porch could always be built out front, if need.

I think that is why the one table can be lifted up out of the way. She said she just always leaves it down. I guess since she lives by herself she doesn’t need a sofa.
There is room for a sofa - on the TV wall. Just don’t have a long chest utilizing that area under the TV placement. I would not even have a TV in the lounge area. There is one in the bedroom. I don’t even watch TV - quit all forms of indoctrination in July 2016.
