I love this perspective! I would also add that black & white thinking (esp for us ND folks) can be a big block. “I have to do it x way or it’s not right/doesn’t count/isn’t good enough” - being able to challenge this thought process and develop more flexible thinking has been a huge help for me! But I often only manage that with help from my friends 🥰
Thank you for this, and especially for the disclaimers about the impact of illness/disability and your realistic discussion about your own physical and mental battles. It’s refreshing to be reminded that we don’t simply need to ‘try harder’ or have ‘grit’ to keep doing too much!
LOVED this video, Kaelyn! It's been great to watch you grow in your productivity journey and this is such a balanced, wise approach. I hope as a society we will get to a point where this approach comes before burning ourselves out instead of after. I'm sure the work you're doing Productivity Lab will support that shift as well!
Such a great video to enter a season in gratitude as we finish out the year - we can still make moves and start now - and allow it to look different for each person! 🙌🏽
This is such a great video, Kaelyn! The advice you give can apply to anyone, in any stage of their lives. Having spent time in Silicon Valley, my mind became so entrenched in the 'power through it' mentality, it actually did me physical harm. Now that I'm retired, my days are calmer, but I still want to accomplish things and feel productive., but not burn myself out. I can see how asking myself the questions you've provided will be a great tool for balancing things out. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this advice. I’ve been struggling with consistency for a very long time. I used to be so consistent in 2020 and really had a good routine overall, but since 2021 I just couldn’t figure out how to get back to that 2020 groove. I now see that I need to let that go and create something new based on where I am now. I’ll use the advice you gave to help me instead of being stuck in the past. I’ll try to be more in the moment and focus less on the result.
Thank you for this, I didn't know I needed this. Especially the part about community had me go "yeeeeaaahhhh!", so this is me, vowing to actually make use of my Accepted Society Membership and join a session this week and finishing up my assignment 💪🏻
