Very concise and to the point video and i like the fact that your speech is neither too fast nor too slow. It is the best english video I've found regarding curtains tips. It covers the basics that a person should know before buying.
I would really appreciate if you make a video on choosing curtains according to the colours of the wall.
I have lime green wall in my bedroom and I'm confused about the colour of the curtain, i should go for.

Love the advice. And that plant is amazing. I live in an apt, not so luxurious and everybody in my family likes diff things. All I want to do is cover those hideous blinds. Yet still be able to see outside so sheer is likely.

Great video . I love the idea to first think of the mood we want to create . I’m often having a hard time finding videos that help with color choice for curtains though . I have an olive green couch and I don’t want beige , gray or blue or burgundy/ rust red curtains . I want a peaceful serene elegant look. ( if I had my way I’d have a different color couch but have had to work with a his hand me down olive green couch 😏).
I’ve considered sage curtains but my walls are painted a beige with a green or sage hue it seems … depending on the lighting in the room ( was painted that color when we moved in and I’m afraid to paint it any other color because that in itself can be tricky lol . ) . I want sage curtains but I worry that’s way too much green in the room lol . I also don’t know if that will actually go with an olive green couch .
I can deal with gray , light blue or beige curtains if need be but I’ve tried beige before and it really looked so flat and weird against our light colored walls . That’s the only reason I’m afraid of the lighter version of those colors now . Just because light curtains seem to fade into the wall but dark curtains with our dark couch creates a mood I’m not going for in our home . I wish I could create light , airy, serene elegance with a touch of warmth with an olive green couch 🤔. I haven’t tried grays yet but trial and error tends to waste money we don’t really have.
I hear you! I would go with a warm white or possibly a pattern with some sage green that way you don't have to worry about colour matching. Let me know how it goes! Karla

You can't go wrong with a linen/cotton combination. It's always a classic and goes with any style. I hope that helps. Let me know how it goes if you're choosing fabric. Karla
Why no mention of polyester? It's certainly the most used material for expensive and in-expensive curtains.

What type of rod and color? Should rod color match wall or window casing?
Hi Marie....I like a really simple rod. Places like Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn make really nice ones. Personally I love a matte black rod. I don't think the rod color has to match the window casing. Let me know how it goes. Hope that helps! Karla

Hi. Would you advise for or against getting 2 different curtains designs/colours for 2 different rooms in the house?
For me it would be different as each room has its own theme/color etc.
What color curtains to go with SW white duck a greige paint color?

I'm finding drapes are not as well made anymore, plus its hard to find drapes for a large picture type window. Can you give advice where to find decent wide width drapes. The ones I've seen are either plain color or ugly patterns. My choice is as yours warm, comfortable, and welcoming.

What about curtain rods? Do you like the short ones I’ve been seeing out there that are installed on both ends? How do you choose the color?
Good question! I like really simple. Personally, I'm using a matte black simple rod I found at Home Depot! I like the curtains to be the focus not the rod. Simple design and style. Hope that helps. Karla

I moved into an old house in upstate NY there are big ugly radiators under or next to the windows. Can’t pay to have radiator covers it’s a rental. None of the “rules” apply in this old house. I just need to know how to style the curtains. The ceilings are high am I stuck going short ? Where does the rod go? I’ve got ok big window without the radiator under it. But one small one above a huge radiator
Hi Nicole -- you may have to do a different kind of window treatment like a roman shade, or some kind of blinds as it sounds like a curtain won't work in the space. Karla

Any suggestions for 3 large transom windows in a living room w/ 11.5ft ceilings? Privacy not an issue with no house in back so I initially thought just sheers, but another design video said that would not be enough to anchor the windows and sheers are only meant to be used with other curtains. Thoughts?
Hi Michele -- I think you can do sheers, I would just make sure to double up on the panel fabric so it seems substantial. You could also look at doing a linen/cotton blend which is sheer but has some weight to it as well. Hope that helps! Karla
Where do you get the samples from? A local place that comes and installs as well, or online?
Most curtain companies will have samples. The ones I had were from Tonic Living. I really like their fabrics. Hope that helps! Karla

How Do you decide between double/ triple pinch pleat Or wave fold curtains?
Hello! It depends if you want a more formal or casual look. Pinch pleat is more traditional while a wave fold creates a more casual look. I hope that helps! Karla
What color is on your walls?

Hi I need some help deciding on curtains, I live in the country so I feel more safe about just having more sheer white curtains and I love how it looks so bright and airy, but I also have the problem where when my windows are open the sun creates glare on my tv. Which do I choose? also should I even do white curtains or just white sheers in the middle. I am doing March wind Sherman Williams for my wall color
