I think this is the only time I have ever seen anyone address the tv. Thank you.
Me too Brenda. Trust me, this topic was not originally on my list... but after viewing over 300 fan photo submisions I felt like it need to be addressed. Hopefully you found a few ideas and design principals you can consider in your own home. :-) Rr
yes I did,@@rebeccarobeson1
Thank you so much Rebecca for the sweet words & constant support over on my channel!! 🤎 I’ve been watching your videos for years so it was pretty exciting seeing myself in the video 🥹🤩
Hey Drew, fun to hear from you. I have enjoyed watching your journey here on UA-cam as well. I’m so impressed with your design skills and love how your home is coming together. Every video has an element of surprise and the finished product is always so beautiful. You remind me of myself at your age… not afraid to try something new, determined to find treasures… even on the street 😂 and able to pull off magic (as it were) in everything you touch. Wishing you continued success in your life and in the homes you touch.
I’ll bet your mom is really proud of you Drew. I know I am 👍🏻 RR
❤ Drew
I would love to see a collaboration in the future, I can imagine such amazing work together. ❤️
Love Drew and Rebecca’s content as well.
I' m a fan of Drew just as I'm your fan too.
These videos showing actual “real people’s” homes & mistakes are soooo good! TY Rebecca.
Rebecca, please consider doing a "Part II" for us Maximalists. I'd love to know the rules above/beside the tv. Thanks! 😊
Good idea Sarah 👍🏻 RR
I think you treat the TV like it's one of your many pieces of art surrounding it, but also need to make sure it is at an appropriate height and location for viewing.
What a good idea!
Who doesn't know Drew at lone Fox? I never miss an episode of Drew's!❤
I lost it when she mentioned drew I watch him all the time 14:11 brought me peace to see she like his designs.
Awwww Valentino... I'm so happy to know Drew and I share a similar audience :-) He's amazing! Reminds me so much of myself at his age. Doing everything myself and turning every room into something fabulous... and on a budget! :-) RR
@@rebeccarobeson1 hopefully u see this too but I started my house renovations starting with the Christmas season with my grandmother when I was very young and knowing that you are a big Christmas head like me just makes me anxious for your season decor vids in the fall. I’ve Been following since that video you did on your house in San Diego i believe a few years back. Most of the influence in my home is thanks to you so thank you for giving me new perspectives in each video I watch
Rebecca, I've admired you & Drew for years. It was so nice to witness you & Drew acknowledge one another! Class!
I looove this series and I love Drew. You two should totally do something together and if you did, I might just have kittens!
Thank you for this!!! I agree with everything you shared. My hubby and I had a debate about the size of our living room TV. I wanted a 65"maximum as it was going to fit nicely between 2 windows. My hubby wanted 85" (which leaves no wall space between the TV and the windows 😂). Neither of us was going to back down... but eventually, we met in the middle and landed on a 75" Samsung Frame TV. It still allows for wall space, while also allowing for a larger furniture piece to fit underneath. I still think 65" would've been perfect aesthetically... but hey! At least we're still married 😂
So glad to hear you mention Drew at Lone Fox. From the first time I saw him I thought “Drew and Rebecca need to meet!”. Two designers with different styles, but both very gifted.
I’m a girl and I have one TV. It’s a 77 inch Sony Bravia! It’s large but I love it!!
Good for you Julie... I knew when I made this video I'd have a bunch of feedback. Just let me say... I love your perspective. Embrace your large TV.
You love it and that's all that matters :-) RR
I really enjoy seeing you comment on people’s homes in this series. I’d love more like these!
Enjoying this series so much! You are so kind and gentle with giving the suggestion and delivery of the “mistakes”. Another reason we love you!
Love Lone Fox. Drew is amazing. Thanks for promoting his channel! Love your suggestions.
Love this video - great feedback and so useful to learn both what not to do but also what TO Do . Thank you Rebecca !
Love this series! Love Lone Fox as well!
Another great lesson on how to mount you TV appropriately!!! I love Drew at lone Fox!!! I am already subscribed!!!
I just love these videos! So helpful. I love Lone Fox too!!!
I stumbled onto your channel today, and really enjoyed this video and in particular the positive, fair way in which you explain errors and fixes, with humour, kindness and firmness! You’re a great presenter. Thanks.
That is so sweet of you to shout out Drew from Lone Fox. I just came from his Marie bedroom reveal. Has has such great taste and ingenious fixes/design placements!
Hi Rebecca, I stumbled upon your channel while surfing through costal furnishings ideas that I needed for my Malibu home and now I just can’t seem to stop watching every one of your videos and ideas, also really love your charm and humor! Thank you.😎
Thank you so much for this series , I’m learning a ton of things ❤ I have changed the piece of furniture under my TV now it’s larger than the TV . It has made a huge change in my living room ❤
Love these "helpful" videos! I learn so much! Thank you!
Your videos are so helpful. I look forward to them every week!
He’s also one of my favorite and I watch his channel pro podcast often as I do yours! Love you both and your creativity
I love Lone Fox as well as your channel ❤. Also this series is fantastic I’m learning so much. Thank you
Good morning from Arizona I am the one who wants the bigger tv. I love that you are addressing this issue. I love all your ideas.
I’m so glad you mentioned Drew and his TV solution. It’s one of my favorites. I left him a message about you. Thank you for this video! I’m going to order a clock mount outlet asap. Also need to find a way to mount the TV so it doesn’t stick out so much. We couldn’t center it because the available studs weren’t in the right place so had to put it on a board that was solidly mounted to the studs. Maybe there’s some kind of metal piece that could be used instead? 🎉
Big Tv the spouse’s choice 🙂loved the furniture suggestions to pair with the tvs. Hiding wiring for tv should include hiding your router/modem. Great advice as always!
I love Lone Fox he’s so very talented. Thanks for giving him a shout out.
We love you Rebecca ❤
Thanks for making our lives beautiful 😊
Thank you Rebecca for very practical and sensible tips with aesthetic value.
I was so happy to see my living room featured, thank you so much for your input! You recommended a larger console -what about a built in that went the entire width of the wall
Love love your videos
Sandy
Drew always thinks outside of the box and that easel television stand is really amazing! Great video and tips, as always, Rebecca. 💗
But Drew didn't invent the TV easel concept.
I like problem solving sessions. I feel like these situations are similar to mine and I definitely learned from some mistakes. I definitely love your high ends make over houses, but I feel like I don’t have that huge space nor the money to purchase the items in the house. So it’s nothing personal. I appreciate your efforts to make your channel more practical! Love it❤❤❤
who would expect Rebecca to mention lonefox! I love his channel too!
Another well done video!! Learned so much!! You look great! 👍
Of course it’s the man wanting the bigger tv! 😂 Thank you for your content!
Great episode! Keeping it real for most of us. More please!
Lots of great fixing ideas , and just simple to make it look so much better ~ Very helpful Session Rebecca ~
Thanks Joe. I'm so glad you were able to glean some helpful ideas here :-) RR
Excellent thank you Rebecca. An intelligent yet still understandable explanation of TV location and surroundings in the home.
Another great video! Thanks Rebecca!
Thank you Rebeca I am learning a lot!❤
Love that! :-) RR
Rebecca you are simple the best .i love your design .
Thank you hon :-) RR
i lov😊you Rebecca and everything you do!!! I could watch you all day ❤❤
This video is great, thank you so much.
Love your channel as well as @lonefox . Great content on both channels 😊
I love this series Rebecca. It’s invaluable. Thank you.
Actually, Rebecca, my husband wanted the 86" TVs at first; however, now I'm so glad we have them. I especially enjoy them while watching football games, Christmas movies and your videos on UA-cam! 😅
Rebecca I’ve been following you and Drew. I love both of you r channels! I think I am such a fan because you both provide suggestions that are not always at high designer prices.
I love that one of my favorite designers shouted out another of my favs. It’s like your mother vibing with your mother-in-law! All the feels! 🥰❤️
Who is Drew?
Thank you Rebecca for these lessons I'm learning so much ❤
I think the reason some people mount their television really high is because they've seen it done at sports bars. But, of course, there's a difference between a sports bar and a home.
Great tips! Thank You!👋
Looking at the photos…proportion and layering are the take always.
Thanks 💖
This video was very educational. Many thanks. 💐
Fabulous advice, Rebecca! Yep, hubby loves the big tv.
Always So Wonderful to see You !
I have to mention your shirt. It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with the puffy shirt. Thanks for all the advice. You're fabulous!
Thank you for another informative video, Rebecca. I just got furniture moved in, but haven't found all of my artwork for my living room so I'm not ready to do a photograph. I have never had a fireplace before and am excited that I have one now. HOWEVER, it is a corner fireplace. A while ago you asked if we would be interested in having an instructive video on furniture placement around the corner fireplace. I sincerely hope that you are planning to share ideas with us on that subject sometime in the future. TIA
Thank you Rebecca. Sometimes I see exactly what’s wrong in the examples and the easy fix. Other times, all I know is “this bothers me”, don’t know why, and then voilà! You fix it. And it actually makes me feel better! 😁
the easel is brilliant!
Thank you. I have so much to know and learn!!
Rebecca thank you so much for sharing God bless
This is a very helpful video. You always address the design problems we all are dealing with. Thank goodness televisions are flat now instead of the big horrible boxes they used to be. 😊
TRUE THAT Meg. Back in the day... we all had big tube TV's and the problem was much worse then :-) BTW (Hello My Friend) 😘RR
@@rebeccarobeson1 🥰
Hi Rebecca. I’m loving your sweater!
I discovered Lone Wolf by accident approximately one year ago. Love to watch him. He is so talented as you are also. Thank you for all your tips.
This has been very encouraging. You put words to my gut feeling that my tv is out of place! I was told to not put a tv over my wood burning fireplace in our new dining/family room. We are avid football fans & our large family comes for lunch & the game on Sundays.
My only wall wide enough is awkward! Between kitchen doorway & window. Placed it high to see over island with tilt stand which can turn toward either rm as needed..works great but need to do something asthetic to frame it in. I should just enter a pic & face the embarrassment. 😉
First time seeing one of your videos, excellent and very helpful. Loved the constructive suggestions.
Great tips as always, Rebecca! Love Drew's channel....been subscribed to Lone Fox for a long time.
I'm really happy to see this important topic! My son is legally blind and has to sit about 6' from the TV. That being said, we have FOR YEARS had out TV mounted so when he is sitting on his favorite bar chair stool right next to the TV it's at his height (he's about 5'5") I was so happy so see that I passed your test! I have a large mossy green TV cabinet with 4 glass doors, and a just slightly smaller TV mounted above the wall above it. My husband has wanted a larger TV and I have always said no! it would be too big for the cabinet underneath! LOL (I cannot believe people cram their necks to look up for hours! Chiropractor time!!!!!)
six inches from the tv not six feet !
Yesss! I love Drew!
Great tips as always! My tv in my bedroom looks like a hospital tv and I can’t wait to redo my whole room , thanks 😊
Yay! Today I got an A+ for once!!
Yup! :-) Go celebrate Kathy :- RR
Love your ideas! For now on I’ll be looking for you ❤❤❤❤😊
Very useful video, thanks Rebecca ❤
Just saw your video and I plan to send an email! My living room drives me nuts and I'd love your input! Long, narrow, with only one possible space for the TV.
Can't wait to see more!
Been watching Lonefox for years !! Love Drew and YOU 🩷💚
Thank you Kat … I’m sure Drew appreciates it… as do I 🥰 RR
I really hope you do one on corner fireplaces. This video series is awesome! Thank you! BTW I'm a woman and I have a 55 inch TV.
Thank you for sharing ... love it
Love that you gave Lone Fox a shout out. His style is so different than yours but also beautiful.
Great reminders. Next year we are doing a shell of a house and this helps. Are those subway tiles in your kitchen. And I love your cabinets
Thanks for sharing suggestions…
Your videos are fantastic! I've learned so much. Btw, I too love Lone Fox's channel. I've been following him for yrs. I don't really have his taste but he does an amazing job.
Love your top ten series!
I wanted a 55" TV, my husband wanted a 65". We got the 65" and I'm glad we did! The livingroom is big and the 65" is almost too small! I did pick out the console, serveral inches wider that the TV! (Thanks Rebecca!)
You continue to be the best at what you do thank you so many clever ideas that make a big difference and and a shout-out to lone Fox 🦊 I am a big fan
Thank you sooo much for the very real, practical and clear advice! I subscribed.
there's a hurricane coming and im so happy I'll have time to binge watch bangin becky ;D
You are so right! Hubby wanted the big television 😬😬
Love that you took time to make this video. This is the first like this I’ve seen. What would be helpful if you addressed how many inches above a console the TV should be placed and how many inches should be on each side of the TV and the console. Love all your videos which I’ve watched for years. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!
Love this series.
I have a small space that we are calling the "den" I was the one who wanted a larger TV, however it is currently sitting on 2 saw horses with a board. A small refrigerator to one side and my quilting design board on the other side and to top it all off a heating duct above it all. This was a wonderful episode because the areas that can be impacted by some of your suggestions will definitely be implemented. I will make a point of getting some before and after photos.
I think is very helpful!
Guilty! As you discussed each photo, I could relate with all of them as I have 6 TV’s in my house (man thing 😉). Thank you for this timely video. Love you!❤
You are so welcome. Happy to know these tips were helpful for you 🙏🏻 RR
I really like this 10 series
This series is great
Excellent advice!
My husband checked online for a buyer's guide to find a tv for our current family room. It gave him the maximal dimensions based on viewing distance. It's a normal sized tv which was easy to center with floating shelves on either side. I want a pair of deeper floating shelves underneath for tech gadgets and a DVD collection (yes, we still have those things). He's a keeper for the modest tv selection and his electrical handyman capabilities to hide the cables!
Love your Top 10 series! As a single gal, I´m a big fan of large TVs when the space allows it especially in the bedroom and kudos on your TV, it looks sooo much larger than a 65 " sitting above your crendenza. I read that the recommend height is about 42-45 inches from floor to the center of TV so its eye-level but I will see if its true.
Lol ... my husband and I fuss over TV size and placement. As you said, his motto is the GRANDER the better and he loves having the TV as the focal point. I prefer a much smaller TV and hidden so something more decorative is the focal point.
Our compromise is TV hung over a large hutch and are planning to frame the TV so it looks like a piece of art. I run music with beautiful lanscape/wildlife scenes (Tim Janis has a great collection!). Even when I turn the music down the imagery is beautiful, refreshing and seasonal! 😊
