It was great to see you come visit Chino Hills. If you make it back this way at some point you have to explore the Hindu temple also right off the 71 Frwy. This is much more remarkable than the Egyptian restaurant.
Loved the video, my wife and I are originally from So. Cal. been away for 16 years and now living in North Carolina. Your videos always bring a bit of California sunshine back into our lives. Sending prayers for your wrist healing and please keep up the wonderful adventures.
That is pretty cool. I’ve been to Abu Simbel and Egypt. Pretty amazing. The Wannabee restaurant did a great job of mirroring the famed landmarks looks. As always Justin and Ally, great job. Feel better soon.
What’s even more amazing is that the actual original Abu Simbel monument in Egypt had to be moved! By means of a complex engineering feat in the 1960s, the temples were saved from the rising waters of the Nile River caused by erection of the Aswan High Dam and moved to a new location and reassembled!
Aweome! I can only hope it eventually gets completed. I live four blocks from the cool Egyptian archetecture of the Rosicrucian Museum and its grounds, which I enjoy visiting on a regular basis. Those heiroglyphics look like copies of something on an actual Egyptian monument. A couple of cartouches included, too.
Randomland shorts: still 14 minutes long! :D Try using a grip that screws into your camera's tripod mount. I use the handle from Studio Neat with a Peak Design quick release plate.
Thanks for making this! I drive by this place every day on my way to work. I remember when they were building it and then wonder what happened I assumed it would be a restaurant which you've confirmed. Since you were so close by I would love for you to do a short on that Temple that's a few blocks down to the South off of 71 I know they do tours just never been able to get there myself.
There's a place Wich I hope you don't mind going to, in Ontario called treasures and junk near San Antonio Ave check it out I always go there!👍 And I think the viewers might like it they have some old school stuff there and 90s toys!!!!!
Haha I live one block away so I see that everyday. I love that you did a vlog about this unfulfilled treasure. I remember seeing this being built and contemplating with my family what the heck it was going to be and then….dun dun dun…it become nothing! Lol. It’s too bad because it’s such a cool building. Maybe someone will do something cool with it someday. And if they do I will let you know. But if you ever come back to Chino Hills the absolute most epic thing we got going on is called the BAPS Hindu Temple. It’s an absolute stunning work of religious art. I almost cried when I witnessed the remarkable beauty inside the main temple. They do allow visitors. You just need to respect the temple visitor guidelines. Anyways, hope you continue to heal from your injury and keep doing more vlogs. Love your energy!!!
This was a fantastic video Justin. You are such a multi-faceted, intelligent guy. For some reason this reminded me of your work from years ago when I first started watching. Hoping you are back to 100% soon.
Im a huge fan of Egyptian statues also. Would love to get to Egypt one day. Its sad to see Buildings go abandoned/Not finished. I got to draw Egypt art for a comic book once :) Now I just paint for Disney, Star Wars, Etc. Thanks for sharing
The restaurant was opened in 2020 march 12 and closed July 2021 it was ment to be a family diner, a rich diner but failed because the company cancelled the project sadly
So Marshall Darling , from the early 90s Nick show Clarissa Explains It All, designed Programmatic architecture🤔 my younger self just learned something lol
This is really awesome. I also watch those history channel Egypt specials. I love it. I'm a big fan of the mummy movies with Brendan fraser. Love your vids and hope you totally heal soon. I wish they had stuff like this in n.y.
I heard that the builder ran into troubles with permits. That the owner is the person who owns the mall/rents out the buildings? The building is modeled after a specific pyramid. That pyramid took ten years. Bets on how long this will take are guessing the same. 😁 Thanks for sharing! I have not been anywhere in so long I missed this! That is a highway I frequented pre-pandemic.
Wonder if they will ever finish it? They put alot of work into it. P.S. If I am not mistaken, those two temples where moved due to a dam being built on the Nile. That flooded the area.
Justin run quickly! The curse of the mummy is over-taking your hand and may soon have your entire body in bandages! (I think the god you were referring to was Osiris). Fun video as always.
Nefertiti was the wife of Akhenaten, who was the father of king tut. i had to google this but the figures are Ra-Horakhty, the deified king Ramesses, and the gods Amun Ra and Ptah.
Yay! Iam the first one to comment on your video 🙂 thank you for uploading these awesome vids but you do need to take care of you and don't over do it rest up for more adventures lol go home and sleep well :)
I wonder why I have not seen you in a while UA-cam unscribed me, but I resubscribed,
I love watching

I’m actually surprised it’s not all graffitied up. Take care Justin, from Simi Valley. 👍

Totaly awsome building! BTW the Cabazon Dinosaurs are another example of the type of building you mentioned.
This is such a cool building. It is a shame that it is just sitting there. Thanks for sharing Justin! 😊

Wow! That's amazing! Love your work Justin. Its Nefertari. Nefertiti was the Queen of Ahkenahten.
You should visit the Rosecration museum in San Jose California. Very cool egyptian museum with plenty of artifacts and recreations
I would enjoy more videos of non-Disney places in Southern California and Orange County in particular.
Wow, that would have been a cool place.

something about the "lesser camera quality" that i love, reminds me of older episodes

Oh my goodness! I live in Chino and I can't believe you were here! I have been waiting to see what is happening in there! Thank you for the humor!
In So Cal? Wow! Thank you for showing us something so unique!
You should check out the Parthenon replica in Nashville Tennessee. Complete with 50 foot statue of Athena!
I live near out there! I am glad my town is getting this love
Thanks for taking us along.
Start a petition to keep it going!!!!!! I’d love to see this place opened!
That was fun! Thanks Justin & Ally!!! Or is it… Ally & Justin now, like the credits?!!!
I use to watch your episodes daily and weekly, I hope you get back to traveling around the country again.
I'm impressed that you know that Egyptian writing is called "Hieroglyphs" and not "Hieroglyphics".
Praying healing and comfort over you!!!
Fascinating! And I’ve never had Egyptian food, so this makes me wonder . . .

For what it’s worth, I’m loving these vlogs! Feels like the old days. ❤️Jenn
Born in babylonia.. got a condo made of stone-ah...KING TUT!
My parents used to yell at me because I wouldn't stop singing that song. 😜😁✌️🤙👊👍
It’s been my childhood dream to go to Egypt and learn about their ancient history and their culture
I hope your feeling better, Hugs from PA and Tammy

One of the best in the area. Have been there many, many times.

The restaurant was opened in 2020 march 12 and closed July 2021 it was ment to be a family diner, a rich diner but failed because the company cancelled the project sadly
I lived in chino hills about 2 miles from there and moved away in 2018. That definitely wasnt there when I left😄.
Great video. Glad to see your working your way back.,
That is pretty cool lot of detail went into that place at first I thought you were in Egypt
I work really close to this building. Great video Justin!!👍
Boinks! This Egyptian Temple should be hauled to Las Vegas at the Luxor Hotel site there! Blinkin' Aegyptosaurus!🦕
So Marshall Darling , from the early 90s Nick show Clarissa Explains It All, designed Programmatic architecture🤔 my younger self just learned something lol
I was expecting it to be an old Fry's facade! But that would have been Santa Clara.
This is really awesome. I also watch those history channel Egypt specials. I love it. I'm a big fan of the mummy movies with Brendan fraser. Love your vids and hope you totally heal soon. I wish they had stuff like this in n.y.
I miss Zahi Hawass, cool dude. He'd probably still be Minister of Antiquities if Egypt didn't have a rule you have to retire at a certain age.
Great work Justin. 👍. Glad to see you're recovering
Love it! I want one. Wonder what they did with all the Egyptian art they hauled out of the Luxor during its refurb. Stay on the mend!
Thought maybe it would be a retired Fry's Electronics ... wish the restaurant would open!!
I don't llve too far from Chino Hills so I'm going to have to check this palce out some time.
Wow! That’s super cool! I would eat there!!!
Quite impressive. Hope someone finishes the interior and it opens.
Dusk Till Dawn... Back on clock Richie! ✌

In Richmond VA. at a medical collage there is an Egyptian style building!
Good morning fine Sir from Cypress, CA :)

I hear Iron Maiden in my head every time I look at that.
i live right down the street from this! At first, when they were building it, I thought they were going to build a cheesecake factory..
If a comic con was held here, they should use this building
