- This week I'm back with another single drop video. This time leaving the Hume Hwy and heading up to the top of bald hill to deliver a parcel to a quarry. Something different, simple and I hope you enjoy.
Thanks for watching.

Great delivery location. I've been up the other side where the new wind farm was being set up.
I love it when you pull out on front of the caravan. So many of them have done that recently to me.
Yeah those wind farms went up quick. And now there’s cranes going back in because 4 of them need new gear box’s. So many resources and fuel being burned just to be green
Another great video Brad from Australia biggest Ute driver
Thanks mate
Hi Brad, you got an honorable mention during a live stream by Johno at Road train adventures.
@@coops4549 haven’t seen that video yet thanks for the heads up. We often shout out each others channels and some others. It’s a great community and we all cover different aspect of transport across Australia without overlapping on content.
@@coops4549 which video was it? I was probably watching live and his mentioned me there
Onya for carving up the caravan.
Ha ha there’s the odd one going slow enough to get around
When doing a hard left out onto the highway like that, I used to do two things...if I had line of sight, I would sit back about 10 metres and start a run before the last car went past (it can spook some car drivers). The other thing I did was use my hazard flashers as I pulled out. It seems to give oncoming drivers a better sense of perspective, distance and speed differential, and until I got up to full road speed, then I would turn them off :)
I'm enjoying your videos, I get to see all the side road bits.
Thanks mate, it’s hard in places like that with no merging lane. Last week the other Canberra truck went in there and the fog was like pea soup. I don’t know how he got back on the highway in one piece
Hey Brad, what is your other channel, I tried looking for Budget Adventures to no avail.
@@philipjohnson8629 the budget adventure show. Or maybe just try Brad mull
@@Brad_The_Truckie Got it thanks Brad.
@@philipjohnson8629 cheers man, I have to re edit the recent trip away so it probably won’t get up until Monday
Heah mate can you suggest any decent showers southbound along sesame street pls
I honestly haven’t had to stop to use one. I’d aim for the bigger towns, more likely there’s cleaning staff there compared to Tarcutta, gundi and Jugiong. I know Yass cleaned things up a while ago but I haven’t been in there for months. Sorry I can’t be more help.
@@Brad_The_Truckie thanks for the advice anyways if I see you on the hwy I’ll give u a honk.
@@Brad_The_Truckie don’t know if you go as far as Holbrook but ampol there has decent showers and the coffee is sensational @ the Holbrook bakery.
@@seanjohn5430 yeah being a newish servo it should still be in good condition
G'day Brad, doing it a bit hard at the moment and couldn't join you for the smoko club this month,be back soon enough to shout you a cuppa tho!!
All good mate you’ve already shouted me a few coffee’s, just enjoy the content and I’ll be happy
@@Brad_The_Truckie always loving the content but i do enjoy a cuppa tho
@@danielbateman2840 been crook so I didn’t stop for a cuppa at all last week.
@@Brad_The_Truckie nothing worse than driving while your sick, hope your feeling better before your trip away
@@danielbateman2840 yeah last Wednesday I don’t even remember driving to Canberra lol. Every joint aches, and the nose is red raw. Got to love winter
Loving the vids mate would you recommend becoming a truck driver
Depends on the run. There’s a couple of past jobs I’d never do again but that’s just me. For the most part, getting paid to see the country is a great thing. The regulations are insane at the moment, so as long as you do the right thing it’s okay. I haven’t been pulled over by the police in the 14 months I’ve been back on the hwy, and only pulled into a weigh bridge once so get away with a bit more then most…..
@@Brad_The_Truckie yeh righto thanks mate cause I've had my hr for one year would you recommend getting hc or mc first
@@pokers112 depending where you are in Aust I think you still need to get your hc before you can go mc. And in my honest opinion the step up in pay for the second trailer isn’t worth the hassle which is why I’ve refused to do it for so long. You’re making the company more money by carting extra freight. But I’m sure there’s some good paying companies out there.
@@Brad_The_Truckie yeh mate I'm currently driving met busses and I'm pretty interested in getting into fuel haulage pays very well and it's mostly local work
@@pokers112 yeah I hear bulk fuel is great. Go for it.
Hi brad, MKD worked next to them in Sydney and yep that don't surprise me. Hope you have a great holiday mate.
Thanks mate
