Woah ! This was absolutely amazing !!! And the song really suits Arya ! Awesome ! Love it !!! Arya is also my favourite character, and not only because she's badass, but because she has the biggest heart of all the characters !!!
this is soy beauitful!! love the song choice, pacing, and use of voiceovers - especially with the parallel sword fighting scenes - so dynamic! this felt so refreshing and definitely kept my attention throughout!! phenom job!
I love this! Arya is such an amazing character and your video just shows so much of the things I love about her. Hope you make another character study of her when the show is over *weeps*
This is a amazing I Love Arya she's my favorite she's a strong , Brave, loyal , Smart person I Love how much Arya grew up she's became a amazing person
The words Ned says to Arya then her saying “no that’s no me” in the beginning is the reason I think I had a problem with the Arya gendry scene. I totally ship them now but I just never saw her as liking anyone in that way. I just saw her as a fighter not someone who’d ever want a family
I hope you don't mind me responding with my own feelings on the subject. When Arya said "that's not me," she's speaking from a very specific perspective. Firstly, she's too young to ever desire romance or love, let alone marriage. She's a child here. Secondly, marriage as SHE understands it is a prison. As Tyrion once said to Sansa, "You won't be a prisoner after today, you'll be my wife. I suppose that's a different kind of prison." Marriage for highborns in her time is all political and arranged, it's not about love or the heart. Not only that, but wives essentially become property to their husbands. Why would Arya ever want that? What she desires more than anything is freedom. Freedom to be who she is, to travel and fight and enjoy life, not to sit at home and cook and sew and have babies. The beauty of Arya being with Gendry is that 1) It would be something she chose for herself, and 2) Gendry would never try to control her. Gendry respects and loves Arya for who she is and he’d never try to change her. She could be herself with him. Arya and Gendry would have an unconventional marriage for the time, but it would be one that would make them both happy. So it's not the institution of marriage Arya hates, it’s the real-world implication of it. Everything she’d hate about marriage would become a moot point if Gendry was her husband. Furthermore I think it's very relevant that Arya's wolf is named Nymeria, after a personal heroine of hers. Nymeria was a Warrior Queen of Dorne and everything Arya aspired to be as a child. Do you know what else Nymeria was? A wife and mother. Nymeria is proof that you can be a well-respected general to your people and become a living legend, all while being married. GRRM did say to pay attention to the name's of the Stark's direwolves as it would be relevant to their story. As for “Arya doesn’t want a family” I highly disagree. Family is EVERYTHING to Arya. In the books she’s constantly thinking about them, and she makes her own group of friends she calls the “wolf pack”. Arya desires family and her pack more than anything, and whenever she loses one pack she creates a new pack. She's very charismatic and sociable. So Arya absolutely wants a family. Whether she’d have kids with Gendry or not is another story, but we know from the books when she adopts little Weasel Arya is very maternal and protective (not to mention the Nymeria point I made earlier). The TLDR of the matter is I don't believe Arya marrying Gendry would be an insult to her character or sacrifice her depth and journey. She can have freedom and a man. And she will.
@@cursedhat you said it perfectly !!! I 100% agree with you !!! If Nymeria could have been a Warrior Queen and a wife and mother, why not Arya??? Also being independent, free spirit doesn't always need to be associated with loneliness...Arya deserves, and needs love (after all the pain she's been through), more than anyone !!! She deserves love, happiness, peace and warmth in her life, and I think only Gendry can give her that, cause they have a really strong bond, and he can bring her back from the dark place, and help her heal. There is a reason that most of Arya's scenes were with Gendry this season, and NOT her family... Their story is not over yet... It might be Game of Thrones, but Gendry and Arya are True Love....and they will get a happy ending, well as happy as it can be in this world anyway.
