I'm crying. _This_ is the treatment the direwolves deserved. They are so important and meaningful, not just to the Starks' story, but to the overall themes and motifs of ASOIAF. Just as much as the Dragons. This was just beautiful, and I couldn't agree more with everything you've said in the description. What a gorgeous tribute.

Anyway coming to the video, URGH you had to make me cry again with those parallels. My favourite bit was the Jonsa "Where will you go?" scene juxtaposed with Bran asking about where the puppies go, I was bawling. Also, the scenes of Sansa being tortured and the wolves dying. 'she deserves better than a butcher'😭😭 and Arya and Nymeria. And.... GHOST. he deserved better!!!
Casual show viewers and D&D are so into shoving the UWU DRAGONS ARE SO SPECIAL agenda down our throats that they forgot that the direwolves are just as symbolic, significant and entwined with the lives of the Starks as dragons are to Targaryens. I cannot believe how grossly they have oversimplified this aspect. I don't want to blame Jon, but I blame the stupid writing.

RIGHT IN THE FEELS As a side note, I think they made Jon Snow pass over Ghost as a super failed attempt to show his alliegeance has somewhat shifted. He told Sansa and Arya "I was never a Stark" in the Godswood, maybe they are trying to show he has accepted his heritage as a Targaryen? If so, it is totally OOC, as Tormund said, Jon has the North in his blood, this is really bad writting
The worst part of the TV show is how they screwed over the direwolves. Hopefully Martin will actually finish the damn books so we can find out what is really supposed to happen to them.

Bravo my friend👍😉 I hate that those 2 lazy-ass SOBs Benioff & Weiss refused to do justice to the Direwolves in the show. The Direwolves play such an important role in George's books & are such an important part of the Starks' lives but those 2 arrogant hacks couldn't be bothered to portray on the show the role of Direwolves right because according to them the Direwolves were too expensive and yet Benioff & Weiss had no problem whatsoever paying countless dollars & devoting countless screen time to the Dragons but they couldn't be bothered to do the same for the Direwolves??? WTF!!! I also hate how in S#8 alot of impulsive small-minded fans were extremely quick to judge & condemne Jon for leaving Ghost behind upon leaving Winterfell for King's Landing and calling him neglectful!!! The look on Jon's face when he left Ghost was one of heartache & regret but he left Ghost because he knew that Ghost would be safer if he remained North & thank God that Jon did what he did because Ghost might've died during Danearys' massacre of King's Landing and I would've been devastated if Ghost had died!!! GreyWind, Summer, Lady & Shaggydog all dying was gut-wrenching but had the same thing happened to Ghost than it would've felt even more so but thanks to Jon, that was not the case. Jon made a tough decision because he was greatly concerned about Ghost's well-being especially after Ghost was almost killed during The Battle of Winterfell and than Jon entrusted Ghost to someone he greatly trusts & respects like Tormund, does that sound like a neglectful owner??? And in the end, Jon & Ghost are finally reunited and Jon is genuinely happy to have Ghost back at his side again & this time for good!!! Jon is anything but neglectful and Ghost knew that!!! Sorry for the ranting but I really love the Direwolves & it's a bummer that they don't figure as much in the story on the show as they do in the books and I also hate the unwarranted undeserved hate that Jon got from some fans in S#8 regarding Ghost before their eventual reunion in the series finale.

All I can think on why D&D focus more on the dragons and not the direwolves is because of what happens during earlier years when people starts buying huskies since they resemble a lot like the direwolves and thus causing a lot to be abandoned cause they are unable to take care of it. Peta sued GOT for the mass abandoning of the huskies. Then again this is only my interpretation so I could be wrong
The show has always done the direwolves so so dirty and this last episode was just the final nail in that coffin D&D wrote Ghost out of the show without a single word for like 2 freaking seasons just to bring him back for that lackluster farewell in order to permanently write him out of the show without killing him and I will forever judge them for it
I keep debating watching this show in it’s entirety…. But then I remember the wolves. I had 5 huskies, 4 now. They are my babies. Father, two sisters, and a brother. Mother passed away from fucking cancer. 🥺 Lady looks like exactly like my youngest husky baby, Nymeria looks like my alpha female. I can’t watch them get hurt. It’s like losing Baby Girl all over again. Maybe one day.
So disappointed in what happened with Ghost, I didn't want him to die, but at least if he did in 8x03 it would've been fighting like a true direwolf and not in the way north agaun, away from his family The Starks
