I literally finished the writing of my 1st book all about this journey just 2 days ago. About growing up with an abusive mother, rheumatoid arthritis since the age of 5, abusive relationships, drug addiction, becoming a mom, and the journey through therapy and learning to embrace my true self without molding to others opinions. Since I finished writing, this topic had popped up at least 3 times a day for the past 2 days since telling others I finished the hardest part. It was imperative this was my 1st book. I felt it in my soul that these things needed to be shared with others. I can clearly see this topic popping up excessively this week because it's the universe telling me that I did exactly what my soul needed, and sharing my journey publicly can possibly help even just 1 person not give up on themselves. I shouldn't be alive today but somehow I woke up and am. It took me until my 30s to understand purpose and potential. I cut ties with my family and moved 9 hours away and I'm thriving, as well as my kids too. This episode brought a "girl, you doing just fine on this path of yours!" message to end the writing process on a beautiful note. Forever grateful this episode appeared today when it did! 🖤

Your comment helped me realize that I'm holding myself back in expressing myself because I'm walking out of an abusive marriage. And I'm scared that if I express my true, radical, loud self, people will blame my good differences for the failure in marriage and completely overlook the traumatic experiences I went through. Like taunting me "yeah, you're too loud. No wonder your marriage failed" and that's scary. Your authenticity is contagious. If you one comment can help someone, I'm sure your book has a lot to offer. You're doing great. ♥️

Yes! We were poor growing because my parents made a lot of bad decisions, it's surprisingly pretty healing for me to buy and play with some of the toys that we could never afford when i was growing up. Like kites! And skip its! And hula hoops ❤
Learning independence through trauma is a sword that cuts both ways. We need to be able to trust and rely on others.
My sister dubbed me the Psychedelic Sheep of the family. Fascinating.
Thanks for this topic! It's so refreshing to have more people talking about and aware of the possibility of leaning into a truer expression and relationship w/ love, and setting boundaries, taking intentional space from fam w/o rejecting them in the same way.
