Our First Time in Tagaytay we see the Taal active volcano and fest on the famous filipino food. Dubbed as the second summer capital, Tagaytay is a getaway place vey famous for its delicacies: Bulalo and Buko Pie, which we're going to try for the first time!

Finally, you got to try bulalo and buco (or _buko_ in traditional Tagalog spelling) pie! You had yourselves some of the best prepared, although you could also have it at the Tagytay market.
A blushed Muichael after his first spoonful of broth must mean it was good, yes? And speechless Gigi with the first buco pie bite.
You cannot go wrong with these two Tagalog food items-true Filipino delicacy and broth for you there, esp. with buco pie which you can only have in the Philippines. Cheers!

You use the calamansi as dipping sauce for the bulalo meat by mixing soy sauce, calamansi, and red chili... then dip your bulalo meat on the sauce... much better eaten with (of course) rice.
That Bulalo 🍲 is the bomb! And the young coconut pie 🫓 looks so good 👌🇺🇲🫶🇵🇭

The owner of the amare la cucina is a friend here in Baguío City,you have to try their pizza. Tagaytay is cold but not as cold as Baguío City.

It is a kind of fish that is caught from Taal lake.
Filipinos usually bring buko pie to our love oneS when we visit area where buko pie is sold so maybe when you go back to Romania you can bring a box home too for your families...we call it "PASALUBONG" 🥰

You put the soup in the bowl and place the meat & veggies on the plate, and cut them on the plate. Calamansi & a bit of patis plus rice. You should eat it with rice.

Hello Gigi and Mike, good you had the Tagaytay special Bulalo. Better to have the meat, veggies on the plate and have the broth in the bowl and that is the best way to eat it. And the "calamansi" is supposed to be squeezed in that small white bowl, add the chilli peppers and fish sauce in it as a dipping sauce for the bulalo. It goes great with plain cooked white rice. Buko pie is well you know, it has sherred buko fillings inside the pie crust and a sweet good snack!
You should try to eat at RIBCHON Restaurant along Mahogany... You wont regret it.

Actually there are 24 active volcanoes in the Philippines. Taal is just one them. These volcanoes are scattered in the whole archipelago. Mayon, Pinatubo, Kanlaon, Hibok hibok,Taal and Bulusan are among the most active volcanoes.

You guys should try Lapaz batchoy noodle soup in Iloilo city as well its' one of the best and popular dish in philippines,.Dinagyang festival in Iloilo City is going on right now till 22nd of Jan . It's one of the grandiest festival in the Philippines..And Bacolod city is just a ferry ride away they have the best Chicken inasal and Mark Weins the popular food tour blogger visited bacolod recently ..

Enjoy Tagaytay City for a few more days like going to Tagaytay Highlands including the Crosswind Swiss-like Community (I believe open to the public now), La VeryOl's Kawa Bath experience, Fantasy World Old theme Park, Mushroom Burger House Fastfood, Twin Lake's Shopping Village, Qi Wellness Living, People's Park in the Sky, Gingerbread House, Taal Lake Yacht Club, Bag of Beans Restaurant. Then going back to Metro Manila, pass by and visit Filinvest City Alabang (Business District of Southern Metro Manila), Visit NUVALI district as well in Sta. Rosa City in Laguna (along the way). If i were your food server, i would take some time to teach you how the condiments are used properly. Calamansi goes into the soy dipping sauce with the chilis. The bulalo is actually bone marrow beef. That is the highlight of this flavorful rich broth soup/dish.
Yes we always eat buko pie when we go in Laguna or tagaytay and it's more good if it's hot , maybe it's a land of coconut you can see a lot of coconut in the way none stop, I always look around counting coconut tree and pineappl, pineapple looks like a check if you far.

In philippines there are 2 know soup the sinigangang and bulalo or bone marrow soup
But there are alter soup its nilaga it has the kalabasa or squash or boiled meat soup
The deffirences of nilaga and bulalo is just a pumkin o squash
