Finally! Thanks man. They've fixed everything from textures to movies, music and animations. It's about time somebody added these features and fixed some of the bugs that have plagued this game from very beginning. Thanks again 😎👊
The only thing I could think of would be "New Game +", or at the very minimum, being able to return to the main screen after finishing the game by pressing a key/button instead of having to reset. Actually, I don't know if the latter is a thing already but it most certainly is not in the original release. I'd like to see graphical representations of various references to music, movies and even other games, but that's not really QoL stuffs, just me loving the idea of seeing Duke and Doom SLAYER's likenesses, as well as album art for Ride the Lightning in their respective places where they're referenced (all three are pretty obscure and only one of them has any text-based dialogue that hints at the reference).
it really sounds great! I would love a bonus festure that allows party leader swap with field/world model swap as well for all the party members of the game... What can I say? I'm obsessed wanting to play as RedXIII more than just during battle hehe
Hey man! I really love the ideas you have going on here! If you're looking for some opinions about more features, I have a few ideas I've wanted to see for a long time... So to start off I watched your video some years ago on how to absolutely BREAK materia and then I used a build to beat Emerald weapon in under 20 mins and just... embarrassingly... annihilate Sephiroth, even at his max health. So with that being said, I figure you could add a feature that either makes a harder Sephiroth, or more bosses like New Threats did, OR some other thing that you can think of to pay off the time sink of growing all that materia. I feel this would be especially welcome in this game after you already shaved off a lot of play time with the QoL features you added, and since the game is already ridiculously easy to begin with. Anyway, I'm a big fan and appreciate what you do regardless! Keep it up brother!
I've always been bothered by the weird text boxes in Mideel. "Cid and the party got the materia from the chocobo!" instead of just saying Contain Materia. etc. Did a different localization team translate that section? I never understood what was up with that. OH! is there a way to make Ultimate Weapon just spawn at his next location when he runs instead of having to chase and ram him?
This is an amazing mod dude!! ive downloaded it and i actually love it! could you add in a way to get stuff that doesnt become available after a certain area? like weapons, like the yoshiyuki, add it to a not so well known area to buy it
Also (if this is already fixed disregard) does Definitive make the safe combination input in Nibelheim and the submarine mini game less twitchy? And the Gold Saucer roller coaster? These things are incredibly difficult with the Steam PC version as the controls are so darned sensitive.
Also, I always wished FFVII let you change the party leader at any time. Not necessarily removing Cloud from the party, but at least being able to change the overworld model to one of the other two characters in the party and play as them. This might be too difficult to implement (doesn't seem too complex though) or not welcome by purists, but I think it'd be really cool. Even if it's only available during the endgame, like in Chrono Trigger. Sounds like a really minor thing, but it's kind of a big deal for many people.
Next up, the definitive life hack that will change the very foundation of civilization. It turns out you can tie the bows in your shoelaces into a knot and they won't come untied. Your life will never be the same. Your grandchildren will marvel at the wonders discovered this day.
Hello. First of all, thank you for this. Here you have my suggestion: Add an exclusive store where we can get exclusive armors, items, etc. Somethings that maybe we missed during the adventure. Cost? Very high, another reason to spend time fighting. * sorry for my english, I just studied basic.
Hello sr.. how about the sound of tifa's normal attack equipped with 2×/4x cut materia? is it possible to produce sound or damage per hit? Thank you so much for this,.. 😁😁😁 Subscribed!!!!
Looks like a nice patch update for the game. Good work. I'll share a few thoughts. I don't remember hearing you say that the "Scales" (balancing scales, not fish scales) enemies have been fixed so that they can switch back and forth between their attack stances. Or that we can get one of those last enemy skills more easily now because those stupid dragons won't just use the attack once and then turn it off. Various stuff like this. I'm sure you've play the game enough so I don't have to name each instance of a malfunctioning enemy. There are several places in the game that become inaccessible after reaching certain points. Something like not being able to go back to sector 7 makes sense, so it could stay this way. But not being able to return to a place like the, uh, "Ice wall that you have to climb before fighting Schizo", that area should be "find-able" imo, maybe in an altered form. I like fighting some of those unique enemies and would like to have access to an enemy that can still teach Trine so I can do the Wutai side quest early without worries about not being able to complete the last E-Skill Materia. Being able to return to the prison area would be nice too. Maybe put the Toneberrys back in the wild? There's possibly a few enemies missing from their wild natural habitats. Would be cool to see them return. How about a countdown during the scene where you have to push the button at exactly the right moment to get the door to the next area to open. The place in the power plant. It is quite hard getting that timing just right without any signaling at all. Maybe write it in so that you try it once as it is, and if you fail they have a talk between the characters that are present and decide they'll talk to each other and try doing it on a countdown. I think this list is enough to get you going and give you more ideas beyond what I just said. I could name other stuff I'd like to see modded, but that is likely stuff for a different mod, so I'll leave all that out. Besides that, I think I'll need to play through the entire game again so I can check out where I might find room for improvements.
Coming back to the Enemy Skill Materia, it would be nice to have a guy in Kalm that can tell us what Enemy Skills are nearby, for instance, all of the skills up to the Midgar Zolom. Then in the next real town there is another guy, or is it "the same guy"? And he can tell you about the Flamethrower, etc. skills up to this next town that you may have missed. He might mention that "the Zemzelett has White Wind, but I don't know how to Manipulate it into using it".
Those stupid ostriches near the farm have an unusually high (glitched) rate of back attacking. Would be nice if this, and some similar ones were fixed.
A mod that I have wanted, but might not fit in with this, is for the Limit Bar to stop taking the place of the attack option. When I get to full Limit Break and have it ready I can't attack anymore. I have to equip Deathblow, Mug, or "Extra Attack" Materia. Or, use Goblin Punch. Otherwise, I would end up having to use Magics the entire time I have a Limit Break. I like saving my Limit Breaks for bosses and such to make them easier, and this would really make my play time with Final Fantasy VII much more enjoyable. Also, >_> It would be nice if the Limit Break system worked slightly differently, allowing me to use any Limit Break I have earned enough "points" for assuming I have unlocked them. This separate Limit Break Gauge would fill in 4 "tanks", showing how powerful of a Limit Break I can use at this moment.
Command Materia is a pain in the butt because it upgrades itself and them forces me to use commands I don't want to use. For instance, I want to steal, but the game won't let me, it just lets me MUG which is not what I want to do since that inflicts damage and makes me go buy a fresh Steal Materia so I don't have to inflict damage. Also, Slash-All upgrades itself to Flash, and I don't want to use Flash, I want Slash-All so I constantly have to keep replacing materia. Granted, I could do this through several means, including cheating it in, but, a Mod could help save me lots of work. I believe there are several other problems like this with materia, I just can't remember them atm. Also, there are several NPCs that are slightly in the way of my roaming around like the woman whose house we can rest in in Junon. Not a big deal, but it would be nice if I could run straight in and rest. Maybe put her in a rocking chair outside or something lol
looks good ^^ good job working on that.. I usually don't mod to change game mechanics, but this doesn't looks so bad, skipping the cutscenes in battle sounds like a huge plus though.
A New Game+ mode would be nice. Also make it so that you can retry the Junon minigame until you can get the item you want and you guys should do something about the missable items. For the limit breaks, please make it so that you can still use the attack command when the limit bars are full and it would be cool to be able to control Vincent during his transformations: please make it so that you can use his limit break moves AND all the other commands. That would be awesome. :)
Can you add a salesperson that will sell missable equipment? I'd appreciate that since I'm playing through my first playthrough I don't like to permanently miss stuff.
The ability to warp out of Northern Cave and back to the bottom is an amazing addition.

I like this idea. More transparency to the systems, it is an RPG after all.
Finally! Thanks man. They've fixed everything from textures to movies, music and animations. It's about time somebody added these features and fixed some of the bugs that have plagued this game from very beginning. Thanks again 😎👊
Fantastic work
The only thing I could think of would be "New Game +", or at the very minimum, being able to return to the main screen after finishing the game by pressing a key/button instead of having to reset.
I would love to use this, but not without 7th heaven. What a shame.
They could pretty easily make it an IRO.
DAMN DEATH THAT IS SOME GOOD MODDING!
This is an amazing mod dude!! ive downloaded it and i actually love it! could you add in a way to get stuff that doesnt become available after a certain area? like weapons, like the yoshiyuki, add it to a not so well known area to buy it
Think you might get the magic defense from armor not being properly applied bug?
That is already fixed in the Steam version.
oh wow sounds amazing
i can see a big grin on your face for some of the video this mod sounds awesome
plans on working with tsuna to get this on 7th heaven 2.0 so we can use it with other mods?
It's currently not compatible with 7th Heaven. We might make it compatible in the future if there's interest.
@@MaciejTrebacz I'm sure most people in the community would be interested in this.
@@MaciejTrebacz I feel 7th Heaven compatibility will always be an interest for any FFVII mod.
Can’t wait for you to breakdown the remake
Are you going to make this mod compatible with 7th heaven 2.0? Or is it already and I just don't know what I am doing?
This is really cool and a welcome surprise to tide me over until the remake launch
Next up, the definitive life hack that will change the very foundation of civilization. It turns out you can tie the bows in your shoelaces into a knot and they won't come untied. Your life will never be the same. Your grandchildren will marvel at the wonders discovered this day.
Cutscene skip hype!
Subscribed!!!!
Looks great! Do any of your other MODS boost AP so the materia lvls faster?
Also,
>_>
It would be nice if the Limit Break system worked slightly differently, allowing me to use any Limit Break I have earned enough "points" for assuming I have unlocked them. This separate Limit Break Gauge would fill in 4 "tanks", showing how powerful of a Limit Break I can use at this moment.
Being able to see the bosses bar/ gauge so I know when they will be ready to attack next could be handy.
Thank you for you're service sir
@3:27 There is a typo - Silver Glassess
God bless you bro
Awesome! I don't like many mods because there's just too much going on. Now this mod? This is exactly what I'm looking for, "Life Improvement".
Thank you so much, I'm gonna check this out immediately. Thank you and everyone involved ^.^
w0000t morning death! ive been following along to your videos on the ps1 ROM
looks good ^^ good job working on that.. I usually don't mod to change game mechanics, but this doesn't looks so bad, skipping the cutscenes in battle sounds like a huge plus though.
Where can i download the final fantasy 7 pc /steam rom /iso thanks
Can I use this with 7th Heaven? I'm 2 minutes in so hopefully you answer this. Why did you not take out the EIOs/whatever cutscene in the beginning
This needs to work with 7th Heaven or be put out as an IRO really.
This.
Sounds nice, good work- I'll try it out
I don't know If you've touched on this yet but Is there any new difficulty options or plan to Implement somehting like that? I would love It.
Can you add a salesperson that will sell missable equipment? I'd appreciate that since I'm playing through my first playthrough I don't like to permanently miss stuff.
Please tell me where you got that art/poster of aerith?!
Sounds really good. I like mods like these. It leaves the original game, but makes some useful smaller changes.
This is incredible. It would be cool if there was Definitive mod Hard mode edition too.
I love this. Thank you!
