Xabi Alonso is not an option for FC Barcelona, he played for RM and that won't work. There is nothing wrong about Xabi Alonso choosing Bayern, or Liverpool. Each choice had its pros and cons. Saying it is crazy for him to choose a club like Bayern is the kind of delusional EPL arrogance that the rest of us laugh at. EPL is currently top one in some ways, top three in other ways. It is certainly attractive as a league. But, money aside, EPL clubs fall behind clubs like RM and FC Barcelona in attraction and only a club or two are on the level of the likes of Bayern.

Klopp only managed at two clubs prior to joining LFC ,yes he spent a few yrs with both with the same passion at both. But Alonso is on fire with his management and impressive football close to how we play now. We have a fantastic academy with all the clubs levels training in the same place, another klopp influence.(15 academy players have played this season so far, impressive and they dont look out of place.) This club is in a great shape for any manager to wish to ply his style and be successful and hes young, fans love him. I'd bet my house on it except I'm homeless.
Absolutely spot on Mark! If Xabi is recommended by Klopp, the deal has been done already. It’s just a matter of when to announce Xabi Alonso as Liverpool’s next manager. Simples!!!
Alonso is smart he will go to the team that offers him the best players and the best transfer kitty. Liverpool have a few stars ageing out and Alonso will want guarantees he can go get the best out there to replace the legends. If not Bayern and Real will be the clubs to get him. He knows what he is doing Liverpool owners are thing that could F**k this up for them. Alonso will want Liverpool but also 200m every season for players.
Um. No. The Liverpool squad is brimming with players hitting peak, the older guys are still great, plethora of young players coming through. We don't buy stars. Club doesn't work that way.
I’m pretty sure he’s spoken openly about his desire to coach Madrid, and that team they are building… who wouldn’t want to manage them in a year or 2 which is practically inevitable. I honestly hope we go for another manager, but whatever the DOF & stats team come up with I’ll be happy with.
if in fact alosno decides to stay at leverkusen or chooses to go to bayern, he will not be manager of liverpool for next decade or more. now he has perfect opportunity to manage a club he played for with YOUNG , talented squad.
@@doubletapthatdotty4597Liverpool don‘t want a manager for a year or two, they want to plan on long term. It would be a bad choice if Alonso wastes his years in that club
I really hope Xabi comes to LFC. The other options mentioned, thoughts as follows: MU - No due to LFC connection Barca - No due to RM connection BM - No due to BL connection
Instead of going to Liverpool he can go to Madrid a team that will possibly have mbappe and more importantly money to spend and have a better chance of winning . Also why would xabi go to barca makes no sense.
If he wins the league with Leverkusen then why would you got to Bayern? You just won it with a major underdog that he built. Going to Bayern is not a challenge, they win the league every single year 🤷🏻♂️
Managing Bayern for Xabi Alonzo will be much easier than managing Liverpool especially after a successful season at Leverkusen because he'll find Premier League very competitive with the presence of Pep and Arteta.
I don’t think the manager situation is sorted. I’m sure they’ve talked to candidates and sent out feelers based on the analytics dept reports, but I think they’ll go back to something similar to their old structure and appoint a DOF first.
I wouldn't go to Bayern if I was Xabi Alonso tbh. Bayern has become such a clownshow lately and they've changed more managers in 3 years than some people change socks. Liverpool are in a much better position internally and a much more stable platform for Xabi to start building on. Bayern are all over the place - "FC Hollywood".
I dont think Liverpool fans have any concerns. We know, no matter who we get in, will be a downgrade. Doesnt matter who it is. So being concerned is pointless. No one could live up to what Klopp has done. They could possibly carry it on, ala Shankly/Paisley, but Klopp will be remembered as the catalyst for what ever comes. Shankly built it, Paisley decorated it. Klopp rebuilt it, hopefully whomever comes in, can redecorate just as well.
A manager wants to develop (long term) and to win (present). Often difficult to do both. Liverpool have both. Who knows....i think Lpool are sitting in the position of power.... not the potential Managers. Lpool will get who they want!
We heard yesterday that Xabi Alonso apparently doesn't have a lot of interest in joining Bayern since he thinks it's chaos right now and he won't get a working peace there.

The difference is other clubs that want him are in shambles mate....LFC
I saw the title and thought it was breaking news. Thank you, Mark… 😭😅
Everybody knows we're doing this whole respect leverkusen thing, and waiting until the end of the season to make contact, while bayern absolutely have no shame and will barrage him through the media, which they excel at.
Gerrard should be on the phone with Alonso saying "You're the next Liverpool manager"
Xabi is not interested in the chaos club FC Bayern, quote from German media "BuLi inside" today. Reporter's tried in every manipulative way to get him to say he's joining Bayern in the summer, but you can see hes uncomfortable with the questions, repeatedly answering he has nothing new to say so as not to offend anyone or feed their wild toughts and fantasies. He also mentioned in an interview that he doesn't think Bayern would be of any use for the future of his managerial career. He obviously wants to come back home .YNWA.
Talks also that Man U and Thomas Tuchel have been in contact and both are keen on a move to be the next manager to replace Erik ten Hag .
Please don't bring that hateful unsympathetic F'r back to the Premier League...
Cheers to Mark for his as always informativ clips One of few who tells it as it is..
Have a great weekend everyone.

Liverpool are getting rid of backroom team ready for Alonso
I believe that Liverpool have their man before announcing klopp will leave
He is the one we fans don't need to start loving we already love him he is one of us
"Liverpool are already at the bar, buying drinks." What a poet, Mark.
The fact that Bayern need rebuilding and Liverpool does not is something that might have a say in Alonso's decision.
Bayern is still better than Liverpool
@@rambospongebob7572No💀
@@bosjok3625bro thinks a team with Musiala as best player bar kane is clear of lfc 😂
@rambospongebob7572 they really aren't, in fact it's one of the worst Bayern teams I've seen in awhile with the acception of kane.
@@tesleemhussein5217 Kane is better than any Liverpool player what you on?
I think Xabi just stays in Leverkusen another year.
Yeah why is every one thinking he's gonna leave when it's really just a rumour
Why would he say anything now. He will come if offered.
But, money aside, EPL clubs fall behind clubs like RM and FC Barcelona in attraction and only a club or two are on the level of the likes of Bayern.
he should come to Liverpool... we have the exact team any manager would want to start with, an amazing fan atmosphere, the love we have for him, and no pressure...
You lost your atmosphere bro
Probably has the most pressure as he has to live up to what klopp did

If LFC wants Alonso then Alonso will be without a doubt a LFC manager...
If Alonso snubs Liverpool then he will never be the Liverpool manager because Liverpool doesn't go back to ppl who turn them down.
I love the analogy of Liverpool at the bar already flirting😂😂😂
3:38 I love you Mark, and this is from a Liverpool fan.
Then madrids perfect when ancelotti leaves.
Um. No. The Liverpool squad is brimming with players hitting peak, the older guys are still great, plethora of young players coming through. We don't buy stars. Club doesn't work that way.
See what you did there with the title Mark, very sneaky
It must be Friday.. Goldbridge has his podcast to push on people
Secret Liverpool fan he is
I’m pretty sure he’s spoken openly about his desire to coach Madrid, and that team they are building… who wouldn’t want to manage them in a year or 2 which is practically inevitable.
I honestly hope we go for another manager, but whatever the DOF & stats team come up with I’ll be happy with.
NO WAY Mark is this good at youtube TITLES!
I’m a Liverpool supporter and if I’m Alonso I stay put, from his standpoint there is no hurry, he’s doing a terrific job at Leverkusen.
if in fact alosno decides to stay at leverkusen or chooses to go to bayern, he will not be manager of liverpool for next decade or more. now he has perfect opportunity to manage a club he played for with YOUNG , talented squad.
@@Nahanoo There is Anchelotti and he just renewed his contract.
@@Nahanoocould do that at Liverpool too. They’re a better club than Bayern as well.
@@doubletapthatdotty4597Liverpool don‘t want a manager for a year or two, they want to plan on long term. It would be a bad choice if Alonso wastes his years in that club
@@PandaNew it ain’t a waste. There’s literally 2 clubs bigger in Europe than Liverpool 🤣
@@doubletapthatdotty4597 why would Liverpool want a manager for one season? They'd be looking for a manager who can stay their for long
Mark is so worried. A man u die hearted fan is worrying about Liverpool. How the mighty has fallen
I really hope Xabi comes to LFC. The other options mentioned, thoughts as follows:
MU - No due to LFC connection
Barca - No due to RM connection
BM - No due to BL connection
Xabi the Great
Become one of the greatest managers within 2 years!! 👏👏
Instead of going to Liverpool he can go to Madrid a team that will possibly have mbappe and more importantly money to spend and have a better chance of winning . Also why would xabi go to barca makes no sense.
He could end up at Madrid. Used to play for them and worked for them before.
It’s called the art of negotiation
Liverpool didn't even back Klopp Financially. If I were Alonso, I'd look somewhere else
Pool fan here mark....didnt luke the way you were treated on TS with gabby.....totally agree with you and hated the way the they were trying to baot you mate....
None of us care about your personal details and to throw that question at you on a SPORTS radio show was bang out of order....

Just reminding you all, Alonso rejected Borussia Mochengladbach when he was managing Real Sociedad's B team
So how does that work?
@@obriendenis3965 he's extremely loyal, he only left Sociedad's B team after being relegated to the Spanish 3rd division
XA to LFC, he’s yet to win the league with them.
Liverpool is good from the manager's family perspective. If family stability & being grounded, is a priority for the manager. All the other clubs will fire the as soon as they don't win the domestic league.
"Managing Liverpool? Yes, for sure, I have dreamt of that, but first I have to prove myself and prepare."
