Hydrofarm is a big player in indoor growing equipment in the US and their LED lighting brand Photobio has released a flagship LED grow light, the 680W Phantom MX.
It is a commercial grade fixture which is DLC listed and IP 65 rated for a wet area. The driver has long 10ft or 3.5m power cable, can be hung remotely and is fully controllable with iLOC Integrated Light Output Control and also has an onboard manual dimmer.
The light output is full spectrum and the system efficiency result in our test was 2.32 µmols/watt (usable PPF/watt) when hung at 20" or 50cm over a 5x5 (1.5m x 1.5m) test area with silver mylar walls.
An excellent commercial grade fixture.

Can you do a comparison video on best 5x5 grow lights and how they differ in price and cost to run. Seen you've done a video in the past about this. People want to know as it's getting to fall and people want to build their winter grow set ups.

The lab results speak for themselves. Bit more even spread then any of the compared lights. Better spectrum. Dimmable without a special controller. Best in class warranty. Less $$$. Even has remote ballast option. What I don't like is the proprietary power chord. The choice for me was this or the gavita 1700e.

Been looking at LEDs for a 5x5, it's the draw that kills it.
I wonder if looking at boosted reflectivity on your walls ie highly reflective white paint, and use with a parabolic cmh reflector?
Yield vs draw, LEDs direct light from one direction, bounce the light around the booth?
Just wondering...

Legit. Now the big corporate guys are copying the LED innovators like PacificLightConcepts
Looks like the same old LM301B/LM301H Samsung diodes, and meanwell, with a fancy metal jacket over top ha.
I see lots of white diodes, with minimal amount of red and UV added, compared to other companies.
I think they are going to come out with a 2nd model soon, ha..once they find out about the advantages of UVB.
I like that it's a good reliable known brand and it has the waterproofing on it.. but besides that, ouch on the wallet compared to DIY or smaller companies with identical parts, ha.
If you follow Shane and the likes, UV LEDs currently aren’t strong enough to make any notable difference
I heard spider farmer moved their diodes for their quantum boards
They did..the one I picked up last month is different. They grouped more diodes in the corners for better light on the outer edges. They just moved them from the center of the fixture. ✌️

I bought this light and it is failing. 2 rails are dying and customer support so far is a NO show. Still waiting for a reply.
I picked up there par meter. Any chance you can tell me if it's a viable piece of equipment? It cost right around $200. U.S. dollars. So for the money was curious if it was a steal or not. Ty Shane and the migro channel. I enjoy the content very much!

I have this light, I'm new to the game but the build quality is excellent and for being a rookie my plants are doing pretty well under it. I run it in a 5x5 and this thing barely puts off any heat. My friend that has been growing forever and helping me is really impressed with it. He still runs HPS but may be switching to LED after seeing mine.
I would love a controller that was a little more intuitive, and little more from the manufacture on how to dial in par at each growth stage. I have no clue how to program the PX2🤬🤬🤬
This bad boy burns my plants on the lowest setting in a 4 by 4 with the light all the way to the top.
