Thanks for the video. I own a 2013 Ford C-Max. The dashboard is very similar to the car in the video. But I have problems trying to connect the phone to the car’s Bluetooth, and all the Bluetooth related buttons are ineffective and do not work. Where is the problem and what should I do?

It’s ridiculous that I have to say Bluetooth audio, or press a series of buttons to get my Bluetooth to play music every time I get in my car. Why won’t it just connect to music inmediately

I just bought my 2016 Fiesta from Birmingham, England! It has this exact info-tainment system (steering wheel controls are different) but your explanations have unlocked quite a few doors to my understanding, as the Owner's Manual is severely lacking. THANK YOU!

For some reason the Bluetooth audio only works for phone calls and doesn’t connect to play music. The music is playing on my phone but not being transmitted to the car speaker. Would you know how to fix it ?

Me too. You have to go in and select the source to Bluetooth every single time you get out the car.

what year is this system like for a Ford Escape Hybrid? The newer ones may not have the AUX input for analog audio input?
You did a great job explaining it all except the pad with the numbers on it. It's like a phone pad...it has the numbers 0 thru 9. Is this where you can dial through the dash and not have to worry about getting your phone out.????

I just bought a 2014 focus with a radio like the one in your video. My question is, is the interface suppose to light at night? the cd, radio, phone, menu, etc? Mine does not . Just wondering because the sales guy told me they don't. I can't seem to find any tutorial showing the radio interface lighted. Just wondering. Very difficult to see those functions driving at night.
Do I have to keep connecting Bluetooth auto each time I start my car
It should automatically connect each time you get in the vehicle, as long as you have it set as the primary device

I have a 2013 ford focus, been struggling with chamging presets on the DAB radio function? I can scan and find the stations i want, but cannot figure out how to save them on my presets?
Hi I was wondering if you could give me some advice. We have a Ford focus and did a reset of the radio display area by holding down ok as we turn on the ignition but since then the buttons where the radio display are (radio, aux, CD, etc) don't illuminate unless the engine is turned off. I was wondering if there is a way of changing this so that these buttons illuminate as when driving at night I cannot see any of these buttons. Many thanks in advance
I bought a used 2012 Ford Focus sedan. I cannot connect my phone no matter how much I try. Would it have already had to be “equipped “ or does it just come with it? Meaning I don’t know if previous owner had the sync or Bluetooth but it won’t connect so does that mean I don’t have the capability??? Ty in advance

So can you use the phone sync to just sync up an iPod touch to play music??? I just bought my Focus this past Saturday, and I have just been using the USB port, which seems to have a mind of its own....if I could just use bluetooth that would be amazing!

Thank you so much for this video! I've been looking everywhere to try and learn about my sync system. The dealer did not explain anything. Question - What is the number pad for other than direct tuning a radio station or SatRad station? It has letters with it just like a phone. Are you able to dial out? Thanks again.

@TCcustoms I have a 2013 ford Edge Select, I just updated the software to 4.6
my issue is when I place a voice command call I will say phone, call John Smith on Cell , Sync will give me 3 options on calling John Smith Cell, Home, or work but in my phone contacts it's set to Iphone
also sometimes it throws in another name I did not ask for. Now after the dealership updated the software I deleted my phone , reset sync system. I then re-paired my phone to my car , downloaded my contacts and it still does the same as before sometimes ? Any other Help would be appreciated

I am buying a used mustang. In my car I have right now (I have a Chevy Cobalt), I have a USB port in the radio dash.
I put all my songs on flash drives and play music through only THAT. what mustangs can I get that have a USB port for the radio?

Great tutorial on these Radios , glad I don't own one ! I've been using MS O/S from early 90's (3.1) on P.C's but for ease of use as a Head Unit or Stereo for a car and Syncing to phones , my mind is blown .. As for ease of use , there is none ! No wonder friends have asked for advice .. which I cannot give .. Perhaps there should be more buttons to push in order to just listen to music or something ?

There is no "phone" button in my Focus 2012. To the right the numeric pad only has numbers 1 to 6 while the button options on the left are - CD, Audio, AUX, Sound and Menu from top to bottom.
If you have a SYNC®️ 5.10 or 5.00 Version of SYNC 1 if you say Bluetooth Audio your no longer to go to the Bluetooth Media Stream if you do have the media button press on it and it takes you to the Bluetooth Audio section if it saids USB press the media button again and it takes you to the Bluetooth Audio Section.
Navigation system as in taking a trip and getting the directions.. how do you program it? When you press the little man speak button, she asks about a route..

Is there a voice command to return to radio? When I try saying, "radio," Sync doesn't recognize it. Seems odd to me.....
One question I have, does the 2013 Ford Escape SE have a GPS? My car has about the same features as the Ford Focus.
is there a way to change the menu colors or button colors with the 2016 basic sync? I have a ford fiesta sedan 2016 if that helps lol.
I wish the Australian model had this setup. Our top range has this type of screen, but an ugly button cluster (not like the one on this model)
