I don't think Vijay setupathy out shadowed anyone. Sahid's performance was the best, KK Menon too was phenomenal and firoz guy was really good... And also Vijay setupathy was good but for first few episodes he was just good not excellent or anything...

As much as I like Vijay as an artist. I think it's rather disrespectful of us as audience to say he over shadowed everyone. When infact, there were some far superior performances given in by some Senior actors like K.K Menon and some more. Even Shahid himself. So as amazing as Vijay is as an actor. He definitely wasn't the best. So let's pay the respect to everyone's hardwork and amazing performances and not make such strong claims

Raj and DK have bow established themselves as giants of OTT with Farzi, I don't remember any one apart from them who has created two of the best shows

I am a South Indian living in South Africa. Love watching Indian movies especially South Indian movies. I do like a few actors in the North like Shahid. It would be nice to see some North male actors in tamil movies but don't know if our storyline and subjects will suit them . They like glamour. But I think they should try Varun in one. I saw him in one interview with Badwaraj. He seems keen to act and he will pull of a South Indian actor .🙈 Just my thought😅Love from South Africa ❤️
I think it is a matter of fact that you will see south - north collaboration more often because people are smart now a days and actors also know that their star power are pointless in front of stories in the current scenario which is a very refreshing change , I hope Srk says yes to raj and dk as I have heard that they have narrated a subject to him , so excited to see such a star in a raj and dk quirky universe.
And let me inform you that varun is doing a show called citadel with them which is a indian adaptation of Hollywood show created by Russo brother so it would be quite interesting...let's see how it turns out😊

10:31 acceptance is there in South but it is not shown in box office collections of dubbed telugu tamil versions because many people watch the movie in hindi itself. As a result the money is added in hindi collections itself. If you see hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai contribute a lot for hindi collections of bollywood films.

Loved Vijay but it's kinda sad that everyone's just fixated on applauding Vijay where as there were such amazing performances given by Seniors like K.K Menon which did a far superior job. But then again, people only applaud the big commercial actors and ignore the others even if they were much better.

Weird ,lame questions from interviewer , GREAT answers from the actors and directors . Noticed that Raj and DK , Shahid Kapur , Raashi Khanna all referred to Vijay Sethupathi as “ Sir “ respectfully, and that VJS actually addressed the interviewer as “ Sir “ but the man didn’t reciprocate the courtesy .
Not a crime to casually use first names in these informal entertainment interview settings ,esp if the interviewees are fine with it , but anchor could have tuned in better, recalibrated his etiquette instead of persistently blundering on like a bull in a China shop . Look forward to watching the series for the brilliant cast and superb crew .
The man you are referring to is probably the finest cinema interviewer in the country with a fan following of his own - Baradwaj Rangan. Probably not his finest, he did stumble a lot, but not owing to dearth of experience.

Appreciate your balanced response Shriram. Awarding titles such as “ finest film critic” is entirely subjective opinion .It is not necessarily factual . I do Accept however that BR brings a certain gravitas and fresh intellectual spin that’s more entertaining beyond the usual run of the mill … but he does drop the ball sometimes with reading the room and phrasing questions appropriately . Then the interaction becomes awkward , as in this case .

Awards are actually subjective endorsement by a group of individuals . Slightly better than individual subjectivity of course but it is well known that in India , as well as in some other countries, there’s a lot of bias about who gets awarded something and why . The thinking public is savvy about the workings of the machinery and players behind these things pretty well. It’s exceedingly rare that something slips through the cracks in a good way and someone who actually deserves an award rightfully gets acknowledged by the system. Also , I believe it was Booker Washington who said , and I paraphrase ..a lie doesn’t become truth just because the majority says it is so . Even if one person speaks the truth it’s the truth . Eg the heliocentric theory . In summary , Rangan is good , as a critic , reviewer and interviewer sometimes . At other times he is not. Whether he is the best, worst or average is up for freedom of opinion based on one’s analytical credibility . Ultimately We don’t all have to agree . It’s totally fine .
Want to clarify that It’s not personal . Me giving him 6.5/10 for his interviewing skills here Doesn’t mean he’s not smart or likable, or dignified etc , as a person. .. Seems like a nice guy . Onward and forward to what matters , watching the actual series instead of debating the interview quality for a nanosecond more ..😊I rest my case. Have a great day .
