I on behalf of the citizens of India would like to request you to bring two people - Abhijit sir and Praveen Mohan Sir together on your podcast! TRUST ME IT WILL BE NO LESS THAN A MIRACLE. 🌻 🧡 Man you have got to do this. Please. Please. Please. 🙈

After listening to this, I don’t want science to get closer to Himalayas. I just want us humans to let Himalayas just let it be. Unexplored and magical. I guess that’s the least we can do to protect it.

Quite in consonance with what S.N. Balagangadhara wrote of our epics, too. We need not test them before the bar of empirical veracity, else, we risk destroying a mode of transmission of knowledge vital to our culture. It does not matter, for instance, if events of the Ramayana indeed occurred, and we must not even hunt for evidence that it did. There is no need to laicize them.
Let the sanctitude of the Himalayas not be eroded. We may explore, for the purpose of science, but not abuse the region.

I want to dig Himalayas and create dams and other constructions right there... what's wrong girl?? I can't understand it. Just leave some areas reserved for animals. If you don't disturb the ecology of some area some other animals or nature itself will disturb the ecology in time. So it's not a big issue as people think too much about it.

Devang is the first person who pronounced 'yeti' as 'यती' ! यती was elder brother of king yayati (ययाती) who gave up his life of prince and turned into a sage in Himalayaa. When he once returned to the kingdom he had very long hair and beard which ran till his feet which made him look as if his entire body was covered with grey hair. After that one visit to his kingdom he went back to Himalayas and never returned. If I remember correctly it is also said the he is immortal like ashwathama. I always keep wondering if the lore of yeti started with prince यती and continues to do so even today.

Even if Devang might have not done much meditation, I am sure that he is definitely more meditative than Ranveer, as Swami Vivekananda said you are much more closer to God while kicking the football than praying to God just because of the intensity required in playing the game, similarly all the extreme situations he goes through will definitely help him get closer to become a realized being!!

Please be assured, there are many of my generation who equally love and respect the earth, just as there are many of the younger generation who are lacking in that consciousness and whose god is money. For as long as I can remember, I've been delighted by nature. We are just as horrified at all the destruction caused by global companies.

The overwhelming energy and detachment and satisfaction feel which he spoke about, I could agree to it 100cent. Man I swear I literally felt the same and it was so overwhelming, tears were just rolling out of my eyes and there was that feeling where some great satisfaction on life, livin beings and perceptives etc when I was trekking for Kedarnath at night last year. That was the greatest joy and energy felt in my 25 years. I really get goosebums when I think about that even now. Heart was so open, thoughts were so pure without any corrupted ideas, just clear and pure joyful feel. Ahhh ❤️❤️
    Love for Himalayas❤️.

There are no Cougars in India. You might have seen a Lynx, or a Jungle Cat.
Also the mysterious animal, might have been a big Monitor lizard (very common in Himalayas). If it was a mammal, it could have been a Himalayan Civet, or a yellow throated marten.

Cougar in East , so paper knowledge is a helpful guide but not everything else sadly many people make their paper knowledge with 0 exploration and raw research , now all are Google based degree holders which are certainly right but not everything is right nor it has reason and solution to everything in it . As a pahadi
I fail to understand mountaineering being a skill for which people pay out . For us localities even though I stay in Delhi for most part of year , our woman carry 30-70kg on back mainly green leave stacks for cattle with a walk of 50-90 min a side for a distance of 7-20 km . If you walk like that weight daily your body lower back calves gets accustomed to walking with high altitude with weight on back . I used to carry apple boxes weighing anywhere from 50-100kg for high altitude when i was a youngster . I have been to various mountain across India as well as in the UK and for me it's just a walk with a 30-40 kg back pack which I can do for 6-10 hours straight .
I am 100% positive people from Himachal , arunanchal Pradesh , uthtakhand can be regular at this stuff if they wanted to . As genetically we have better legs , explosive lungs and stronger back for handling altitude .

Yep..hes absolutely right..pretty much any sort of insect you find can be eaten. It sounds gross, but I promise, if you are ever starving in the wilderness..really TRULY starving..you will eat that insect without much thought at all. There's absolutely nothing more miserable than slowly starving to death. The pain and misery of it is indescribable. Suffering of starving is infinitely worse than any insect or creepy crawler you may have to chew up and swallow

Just wanted to share a thought about “CAPITALISM “. I believe capitalism and entrepreneurship goes hand in hand - what I mean is : its the crony capitalism that one should be against because that’s when Corrupt govt. official are scheming with businesses to exploit natural resources or anything else for that matter. Next level to entrepreneurship is building businesses worldwide and creating a brand for oneself and for their country!

Hey Ranveer, this episode was just as good as the Hindi one. I was looking forward to Devang on the show and will continue to do so. The storytelling, the facts, the experiences are so interesting that a person like me who is far from being adventurous craves more of these stories and also a part of me wishes to visit these places. I am an entrepreneur myself and when I heard that line about self-discovery through the process of entrepreneurship I could relate massively. Kudos to the work. Hooked to The Ranveer show as always.
