Such Beautiful places to walk through, including that town! Nice, brave souls with the bridges and Wim Hoffing with the cold water 🥶 good to see you having a great time making lovely memories 👌👍
Wow stunning places to visit 😍 I’m with you though James, heights are not my thing - well done on getting over those bridges👍 Nice to see you baby wearing too, I did this with our daughters whenever I got the chance, big up to the baby wearing mums and dads 🤩
Hari OM OH, J-Jay-James, my knees were knocking for you! I have serious vertigo and although I love flying, being at height while my feet are still in contact with ground is a whole other deal at such places. But it doesn't stop wanting to stretch the envelope and I am pleased you did too. Fantastic places. Somehow Spain has escaped my radar for travel, but you have certainly laid down some very positive teasers! YAM xx
James here - vertigo is no joke, my dad suffers from it too and certain things can leave him in bed for days. Unlike you I hate flying too! Even though as you say it’s a different fear to the heights. But like you I still enjoy doing these things and challenging myself, so important to do from time to time. The image of Spain we had in our heads is very different to what we’ve found along the way as we’d only previously explored more of the holiday destination type places. But we’ve really fallen in love so would highly recommend it if you get the chance to explore a bit here. So glad we may have helped put it on your radar. Hugs from Ady 😊❤️
Not all of the paradors are súper expensive and they have special deals at certain times of the year. I would recommend going on their website and checking them out. We have stayed at a couple of them.
That’s exactly what Google maps does to me!!! I’m pleased I’m not alone. I have made a note of chulilla even though I’m terrified of heights, it looks too good to miss. Thanks guys x
Glad we’re not alone too. It’s infuriating though!! Chulilla is well worth it even if you’re scared of heights, those hikes were incredible 😊 And the bridges are very safe 😅 x
Jay clinging to Ady for reassurance across the footbridge hahaha. Being honest my knees would have been trembling too, I hate heights so much I don't even like open plan stairs lol. Thanks for my Sunday fix ;)
Just a thought. How has your layout worked for you? I put swivel seats in mine after almost putting my shower behind the drivers seat. It really opens the van up. I guess with Ady it's starting to feel like a small place so was also wondering if that has prompted you to consider bricks and mortar again.
Great question! Even though we originally built the van just for the two of us, we’d always planned to be in warmer climates with the aim of spending most of our time outside so that’s why we made certain decisions around layout which reduce the free floor space, like a full oven job, full sized fixed bed and cut off cab. Essentially we wanted to just use the van to cook, sleep and shower and spend the rest of our time outside and this hasn’t really changed. One thing we’ve started making a priority is to try and pick park ups that have some nice outdoor space that Ady can be free to roam in and try to spend as little time as possible in the van, so I don’t think we’d actually go for a different layout if we had the choice again. We’re not really tempted to go back to bricks and mortar at all at the minute, but we will eventually when Ady needs to go to school purely because neither of us fancy home schooling. But I think we’d potentially stay in the van beyond that stage if either of us had the inclination to teach her so it will probably be almost an enforced settling down! If we weren’t able to spend so much time outdoors then it would definitely make living in the van more difficult so we’ll see how our 90 days back in the UK goes 😅 Neither of us have ever even sat in a swivel seat (in fact come to think of it we’ve never even been in another camper van) but can definitely see how it would open up the space. The concern we had about them when we were thinking about layouts was whether we’d want to spend the evening sitting in the same seat as we’d driven in all day, but ultimately we just prioritised having the metre long worktop and cupboards. Do you find the swivel chairs comfortable?
Oddly enough my apple maps was set to take me to a campsite, got about 2 miles away and it decided to take me up a dirt track for about 5 mins. Stupid me followed thinking it might be a short cut then had to reverse the van the whole way back as there was no chance of turning around. Must be a weird glitch going on.
Andy is too adorable 🥰
❤️
Amazingly, I have not been yet to Spain. Your trip inspires me!
No way! It’s well worth a visit, we love it in Spain 😀❤️

This looks like a beautiful place to visit! I'm with James on the suspension bridge😳. Great video, thanks for sharing.
It really was stunning, if a little terrifying 😅 Glad you enjoyed it!
Lovely scenery! So good to see you all enjoying your adventures. Happy trails to you!
Thank you, we really enjoyed this week, we haven’t hiked like that for a long time so it was lovely to get out and do it again 😀
Awesome views and hike!!
We really enjoyed it 😀

Yeah we love wearing Ady! There are so many positives to it, not least that it allows us to do stuff like those hikes 😀

Watching you guys with Ady was nerve racking I don’t not like heights
It was pretty terrifying doing it too but so glad we did 😊

🤣🤣🤣 it was genuinely pretty nerve wracking! And there’s just no need for open plan stairs, we’re best off in our vans - just one step to navigate 😀
I like your thinking ;)
😀🙌

Don’t worry Jay, I know where you’re coming from
Although I don’t mind heights I’m less of a fan of them when the barriers are low
Yes safe heights aren’t so bad but it’s worse when the irrational fear has a touch of rationality to it 😅
