B kiri it does certainly make it easier but I’ve also done about everything that’s to be done on a car with either ramps or jack stands before I had a lift.

RickWalshCleaning It’s actually alot easier than it looks. At a comfortable pace it’s about 2-2.5 hrs to remove it from start to finish (drive the car in to rolling the engine out). But if I’m in a hurry 1-1.5hrs.
Hi, I have to remove my 3.0 from my b7, on the drive, is it easier to do what you’ve done and just drop the lot or can I remove the engine and leave the box and subframe in place? Thanks Andy
REMOVE THOSE OIL FILLED MOUNTS AND STARTER FOR ROOM. RAD SUPPORT ECT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED. SUPPORT THE TRANS IN THE NORMAL POSITION. LIFT THE ENGINE UP JUST ENOUGH TO TAKE THE WEIGHT OFF THE BELL AND PULL FOWARD. LIFT AND PULL MAKING SURE NOT TO SNAG ANYTHING, TAKE YOUR TIME. CRANK SENSOR MUST ALSO BE REMOVED FROM BELL. 🙂GOOD LUCK.

I AGREE, JUST LIKE DROPPING THE SUB FRAME TO PULL THE ENGINE. GUY ISN'T A MECHANIC IT SEEMS.
