I remember, as a kid, I used to sing this song at the top of my voice. Thankfully, the neighbours never complained. And whenever I heard this song being played on TV, I used to run from my study table to look at Aamir Khan.

Oh gosh...it brought back so many memmories of the time... The late 80s....I was in school then... But as I went to Jr College, It became one of the MOST FAVOURITES of mine. Nice suggestion It is. And yeah...All the songs of the movie are very good..
Udit narayan and other singers were struggling till 1987 because Kishore Kumar was alive but when he died new singer udit narayan got break in 1988 in "qayamat se qayamat tak" and Kumar sanu got break in 1990 "Aashiqui"movie. Since , Rafi and mukesh had already died in 1980 and 1976 . So only legendary Kishore was left in old school music. Then came era of udit , sanu and alka in the 90s . I think the three khans ( shahrukh , salman, aamir) always have a regret that they never got voice of Rafi and Kishore 😒 . But it went good for upcoming singers like udit and sanu who were struggling those days.

Oh my! I was in 9th standard.. all girls were in love with him, and all guys were damn jealous! I think I bunked school to watch this with a die hard fan girl... I had to wait 2 more years to "find" Salman n fall in love (he was damn cute in Maine Pyaar Kiya).. but I then found SRK in another couple of years... The story continues..

One thing that really annoys me is that all of the songs of "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak" have been uploaded with horrible sound quality! There used to be some hq versions with great audio, but those all got copyright stricken obviously...
I wish these official channels would re-upload them with listenable audio... I know its an old song, but if you hear the lyrical versions, you can see that the audio wasn't nearly as LQ as it sounds in some of these videos...

That song brought back a lot of memories for me as I was watching+listening to it after 30+ years. The lyrics of the song applies perfectly to the lead actor Amir Khan as he was a nobody before that move became a super hit. He became a star overnight and his career started climbing higher and higher and it was just like the song implied, nobody knows what their destiny is and where they will be in the future.

It is a theatre film through and through and a classic. It is a movie you will be restless for the main couple to come together and very emotional. To me, it is the best movie of 2023❤. Even in movies he showed Hindu God as a joke and has also made public statement that "he doesn't feel safe here because of change in government". He also went to "Turkey" and met Turkey President wife and shared pic, when Indian government had hate relationnship with Turkey due to Turkey falsely accusing India on Kashmir with Pakistan. People started to dislike him because of this.
