  • Many of us can admit to loving a good underdog story. You want to see the main character go through their perilous journey and come out on the other side victorious after the big battle or challenge that was seemingly impossible. When that story is real life, it causes you to pause and take inventory of your own story. What situation are you facing, how is your current situation in comparison to the underdog you just cheered for? Sometimes those questions can really sting, especially if you feel like or can see proof that you are not living up to your full potential.
Wallo267, is an incredible entrepreneur, marketer, and self-made millionaire that joins me to discuss how his no BS mentality took him from a life of crime to a life filled with meaning, purpose, and unmistakable success. He was in and out of jail from the age of 11 and eventually served a 20 year prison sentence. What he’s accomplished in this time and came out of jail equipped and prepared to do will leave you speechless and questioning exactly how you’re using excuses and potentially clinging to a victim mentality.. From Philly to Hollywood, these are lessons on building an extraordinarily successful business from nothing.

    QUOTES:
“We go through some we're always looking for somebody to blame for our existence in a fucked up place. No, I paid for this train ticket to here. I paid for the train ticket. I got on the train. It was many stops before that I could have got off. No, I went to the final destination.” [3:24]
“I spent more time incarcerated than I did free on this planet that fucked me up.” [5:52]
“Now it's time to just be out here on a journey through life experiencing new things, new ideas, exposure, and that's what I realized. A lot of us don't expose ourselves to new things, new ideas. We're not open, open to different open to change. And that's what helped me I became open to all this shit.” [9:51]
“I wasn’t in jail, I was in Yale. I wasn't in prison, I was in Princeton. I wasn't in the state pen, I was in Penn State.” [13:29]
“The world is one big library and everybody's a book, [...] read your books wisely. Choose them wisely. Watch what books you read.” [25:08]
“Sometimes you got to remove yourself from people, places, and things. That's not just not going to allow you to embrace the reality in your individualism of who you are.” [32:56]
“You got to have a conversation with self about the reality of your journey, and once you connect with that it's a wrap.” [33:35]
“A lot of times you got idea killers out here and sometimes idea killers and dream killers be yourself.” [34:37]
Guest Bio: Wallo rose to cultural phenom status in two short years after serving a 20 year prison sentence by catching lightning in a bottle: crafting powerful viral content inspiring people across the world to step into their greatness and discover their purpose.

The hardest truth that I will be taking away from this interview is the fact that Wallo267 was able to transform his life and do amazing things in the community, despite serving 20 years in prison, but I allowed countless excuses to stop me from accomplishing several goals, despite going to an Ivy League university. This was my wake up call to stop giving my power away. Thank you❤️

Hmmm... I think the real lesson here is that decorations (going to an Ivy league uni) don't equal substance.

I've found that the truth is that time and energy IS limited. I do believe we are eternal spiritual beings have a temporary human experience and that from a certain perspective we have UNLIMITED energy and have NOTHING to worry about . But from a relative human point of view, it's incredibly important to honour our limited human time, and to honour what our heart really wants to create. Not from a space of LACK or FEAR , but simply because WHAT ELSE is the alternative ? That's the point that I had to get to personally , is to realize that I can sit around and be a VICTIM . Or I can take RESPONSIBILITY and be a CREATOR of my reality . Great video Tom !

I've always believed or was raised to realize that violence or crime was not the answer. I lived in a structured home meaning having both mother & father & learned at an early age about responsibility & self-respect. I know lots of ppl didn't have that luxury but I'm glad I did & it made me the man I am today. My father very hard working family oriented guy & my mom was the equalizer that kept the machine well oiled ( love you both) & running smoothly. Grew up in the south back in the 70's South Carolina nothing overly interesting there thankfully.Didnt have the pressures of the city life which I know can be brutal there in lies the term "concrete jungle" so I honestly can say I didn't have the negative influences that most city slickers had to deal with but I can relate to the bitterness & lack of control running rampant that most young teens can get involved in. But I'm here to say no matter the situation you can control the outcome. It's all about attitude & focusing on your position & where you want to be in life! Overcoming the odds or dangerous conditions doesn't mean you have to play along it just takes more thinking more push to be productive positively. I've never been a fan of not controlling my own destiny no matter the situation. I love my freedom & can't adjust to living in a box for hours, days, months, years on end, life has too much to offer! But summing it all up by saying it's all about your decisions how you respond to the surroundings or the situation. You can let it define you or you can define it positively! No excuses just results period!

This is by far one of favorite episodes. His passion came through the pent up velocity of potential when it’s realized.
When we were in basic training and it’s one of the closest things to jail because you can’t get out until they say so. While in the military, I also felt like my potential was capped. That felt like another kind of trap, and as soon as I got out after five years, it feels like there literally is no limit to my potential.
One of the main things that’s amazing about Wallo is his passion. Whenever people say they love my passion. I think passion is created through pent up energy that has that velocity that Tom was talking about. Love this interview. Had to drop this to commemorate this special moment in time.

Philly STAND UP! The streets are taking too many of our young men and babies. The beauty in Wallo's growth will come even more in the form of the young men in Philly that don't know and don't see the way out. Proud of you Wallo 🥰

What an amazing man!!!!!! He is absolutely right about families killing the ideas of our kids. My son is 17 and he writes plays. He has had a lot of success already. When he sees other family members, they want him to work behind a computer desk. I told him no. You’re one of the greats, so what your passionate about!! He was invited by Harvard to apply. He said no. He is going to college. Not for writing, but maybe to teach and write. He told me he would be happier writing in the back of a van than working behind a computer screen. And I 100% believe that’s true of him. Never kill dreams.

Hey, If you read this, tell your son NOT to pass Harvard !!! He may not have to work behind a desk at all. But he will gain serious skillset and connections that will take him further in his writing than he ever dreamt of.

What's amazing is the change in mindset. So many people say their mindsets changed but couldn't admit they did nasty things in the past. I like it when he said about the Probation officer Denise that he used to think she was a jerk but looking at it now he thinks she just wanted him to win. Small things like show how much he grew as a person.

Thanks for this, I just discovered Wallo267 and I am HUGE fan! I love that he destroys the excuses and BULLSHIT that people constantly hide behind to justify their inaction or character defects. I too grew up in a neighborhood where some kids didn't make it out alive. I broke that soft mentality of "oh but you dont understand where I grew up..." so what?! It was the cards I was dealt, move on.

The hardest truth for me was when wallo said “ whenever you breathe you got all the tools you need” his quote showed me that I got all the tools in my Arsenal to succeed everything is inside is with self and when you connect to self you connected everything around you

  • @RS-jz9hy

This was really powerful actually that quote in the beginning had so much wisdom - no excuses no matter the circumstances and believe in yourself...that will propel you because what holds you back is your mind and what it is saying to itself. Often circumstances make us say we can't' this and that so we don't engage with full heart and we fail and then we say you see it wasn't' for me. NO excuses is the only way - Do what you can control and do it with all your heart dont' care about bad hands, etc etc. Just work consistently and hard as hell and your dreams shall come true.
