Thanks, this was helpful for my planning. It was probably said in the comments before, but I think the English word you were looking for to describe the screws was the "threads". Thanks!!
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I can't believe AI doesn't have a video for this hanging kit or at minimum an installation guide. The parts/method are different from the EXT hanging kit so those references are useless. Even the URL/QR code on the packaging that's supposed to go to an installation video and guide doesn't work. I'm less than impressed with AI about this but your video helped me to sort it out. :-)
You talk about the Alligator thing, in V shape that goes into the hole? Hmm usually I buy another one at home depot or something like that, are if you are in luck with your fingers you can get it back but it can be a lot of trouble, often not worth it.
Thanks for the response! Doesn't it get stuck in the ceiling? Also, is there a way to lower the light? I'm about to install mine soon and I worried if I install it too high, is there a way to lower it?
@@starlight8583 play with the cords for the height. Yes you might end up losing one part in the ceiling, you can buy to your hardware store, always available.
Hi mate could you confirm that the unit you used it on was an AI Prime HD 16 or the AI Prime? I couldn't tell (still waiting for mine to be delivered).
Good observation, im planning to show my par results when im done editing the video for ep.11, I didnt check yet but I thought about putting the intensity around 85%, will see after i measure, I would like something around 175 par i think. The sps will be easy ones
@@AquaSplendor thanks :) i got a very similar project with an 62x36x36cm tank, and i was not sure if i should go for a Prime 16 again :), looks very fine on yours
Give me a little bit of time for that Light fixture from IKEA, gotta edit when I have time and will give a link here when it's done.

This video was so enjoyable to watch. You have a nice personality and I appreciated the content as I have the hanging kit but have yet to install it.
This is the way!

I love ur videos & I wish you all the best with your hobby :3
They make a diffuser with shroud for the HD 16.
How do you get the spring attachment out of the hole if you needed to move house for example?

How do I remove the hanging bracket once it is installed? When I move house.
Do the opposite of installation 😅
Unscrew from the back.

Yup
@@AquaSplendor Yup to which? 🙂
@@KogreX03 It doesn't matter which one, it's all the same (16hd on this video)
Are you planning on keeping SPS corals? Because you might need to mount the light closer to the tank. Or get a par meter and see your levels.

how many gallons is yout tank ?

What does ur light setting lok like with this led
Default one with the apps
Don’t see the point of hanging lights as you have to drape the power lead across the tank. Look’s crap.
Many way to hide the cord, not having to push, lift the light during water or what ever, is pratical
Looks super ugly too
