raheel ahmed still working on a perfected version.. curing issues with multiple materials has proven difficult.. paint cracks over time... not cool. to give people a product that I know will fail
well please let me know and im willing to help donate let me know if i can help all great minds need a little help sometime..... you really got something special .....
Roy Shirvington unfortunately no it's still not perfected yet.. much to my dismay (& drained wallet) but the struggle continues.. version 13 will start next week actually
I'd love too.. but its such an involved process that happened over a few yrs (to finally get it perfect/ durable) with many trial & errors.. the overall basics are 4 molds to form the inner & outer lexus emblem elements ea 1.125" thick (ceramic composite aka transparent aluminum) then epoxy the outer frame inside the trunk lid. mold the emblem in with a 1/8 protrusion thru the front of the lid.. body work flush using black epoxy (spreading as wide as possible to avoid cracking). then mask an layer paint (lightly) sanding edge lines between coats... Depending on your light source u may need lighter/thinner coats to be visible... then i did an extra 3 clearcoats an buffed to shine... its a miserably long process an costs way too much to do again.. but it looks AMAZING.....
I was an idea I've had for a few years now.. finally attempted it while the car was apart for paint. to my knowledge no one else has done anything like this.. with good reason this video was version 6.......... I'm currently about to start version 11.... but each time my vision becomes to reality..
+TheImmortalMoonLion once I have it perfected then yes.. but there's now way to guarantee the final outcome. because it will be up to the painter an his painting skills.. it is a long tedious process..
+TheImmortalMoonLion I have a car show to go to next weekend after that we will fix a few Rock chips on the front end and respray then at that point I will address the trunk lid hopefully then it will be perfected
