As a swede, trying to sing this without using å ä ö is another experience

What is it like? I just realized that not those probably change the meaning.

@@cxpKSip they don't change the meaning. It simply reads strangely. We expect something to be there that isn't there fully.
The closest thing to that experience in English that I can think of, would be spelling "thinking" as "thynking". You can tell what it is supposed to be, but it is just so odd to see and convert.
