For anyone having trouble with setup, i have the exact same setup as him, and i could only get audio to work by going from pc optical out to astro base station optical in, and then astro base station optical out to avantree optical in. You cant use the usb or 3.5mm in. No perceiveable lag for me, its perfect. Thank you for this video! So good to be wireless with the vest.
I just got my vest the other day, and I'm also replacing my broken bluetooth headset as soon as I find one I like the next days - thanks fir the video! I gotta say this buy is worth twice the price, great for music and amazing for game immersion. As a bass player I'll test this as a monitor addition, to really get that punch and feel when I play, great product
Thank you SO much for this. I bought a bluetooth adapter that pairs to two devices (vest and headset) and the audio quality is awful, even for a $75 USD adapter and a $400 pair of Sony BT headphones. I have the A50s, so I tried this method and it worked flawlessly! Hopefully there will be an update in the future to improve the functionality of all of this!
can you share how you got it to work? i have it set up exactly how he mentions in the video (i paired the woojer to the bluetooth box that is connected to the A50 box but i dont get anything from the woojer. its definitely connected but no rumble. volume is up on the woojer .

So my issue is not connecting everything, but which output do you use on your PC. When I click the little speaker button on the bottom right on windows, I have several options for sound source to play audio. One is avantree and another is the Astro A50. When I click avantree I get only sound coming from the vest with zero sound from the headphones. And when I choose A50 output I only get sound from headphones and nothing from vest. Is there something special you’re suppose to do to be able to get both outputs to play at the same time? I have the exact same setup. Same headphones, same avantree transmitter, all connected the same way via optical the way you mentioned. Only one or the other will play. There’s gotta be some setting somewhere I need to enable or change to be able to have both play. Help please.

I dont connect my headset by bluetooth as that is wifi using it's wifi base station. All I am doing is passing through the audio to the vest to make the haptic feedbzck work.
@@hoodholmes I know, you were clear about your setup. =) But I'm curious about the next setup, since you have the "Avantree Audikast Plus", how accurately the Avantree sends all the signals (without delay). Example: connecting 1 music source to the Avantree and splitting it to your headset and the Woojer Vest. I know you are happy with your current setup but I am curious about the situation above. With the hope that you want to test it and share your experience here with us. thanks =)
@@rjd8537 It depends on whether or not your bluetooth headset supports AptX LL. The Avantree Audikast supports this and will gives you a max latency of 40ms.
@@hoodholmes Valve Index. I tried connecting the vest directly to my PC via bluetooth but the connection seemed to keep dropping. I settled for using the USB port in the Index HMD to the USB-C port on the vest and then mirroring my audio to the vest in SteamVR. Unfortunately there is some noticeable delay between the headset audio and the vest haptic feedback

But when I recieve my woojer I find a way to connect astro a50 without avantree or any Bluetooth transmitter so I wasted my money on avantree hopefully u guys will not. If purpose is to connect ur ps4 and pc with astro at the same time with woojer. Just connect with aux jack of Astro bass station. What I did is I connect my ps4 controller aux out with woojer aux in than woojer aux out with my astro bass station's aux. That's it.same thing could happend with pc and also there is another method I think. But i connect astro and woojer with pc without avantree or any transmitter. I hope it will help. Does this only work if you are using optical in as your audio input to the base station? I currently have the base station connected to my PC via USB. I tried optical out to the bluetooth transmitter (which is connected to my woojer vest) but it is not working. Any advise will be very helpful. Thank you in advance.
Okay so how do you actually connect that base to the woojer, I have a steel series arctis pro with a similar piece as the avantree but I don't know how to connect the two together
The Woojer vest would connect by bluetooth to the Avantree so as long as you feed out from your headset base station to the Avantree by Optical or 3.5mm jack you then send audio over bluetooth by avantree to Woojer. My setup is optical out of pc to optical in on Astro A50 base station, the optical out (passthrough) from base station to avantree optical in. Then bluetooth from Avantree to Woojer vest. The pass through on Astro A50 base station allows audio from pc to headset along with mic functionality but the pass through then also sends same audio to woojer vest. You do not need to physically connect a csble to vest in this setup.
Connected by usb to power it and use the Astro App and by optical from pc in to the "opticsl in" on the headset hub. The opticsl out to the bluetooth transmitter which connects to the vest. The Astro optical out is just to pass through audio to the bluetooth transmitter for the vest haptic feedback but you still receive audio wirelessly from Astro base station.
@@hoodholmes Cannot get it to work unfortunately. I have to use a wired headset and a bluetooth connection to the pc (realtek integrated soundcard) as it stands now. Am I missing something? Are you only connected to the Pc via optical cable from the basestation. Is the Avantree BT adapter and the Astro basestation getting their power from a wall charger? I struggle to get the Astro to work without connecting it to the pc via usb-cable. It's ok to use the vest with a wired headset and a standalone microphone, but I would prefer the astros. @@hoodholmes the only difference is that I have an hdmi to hdmi + audio converter to enable optical as the ps4 slim doesn't have a port unfortunately. Other than that I've done exactly to your video & what is on the woojer website. I'm gutted it's not working & it's been rattling my brain for weeks! 😩😩 😒 haha

I backed it on Kickstarter and received it a couple of days ago. I'm just looking around on how I would actually go about using it with my VR set-up.

This means you will not be completely wireless though, my solution means no cables connected to vest.
