With snow everywhere, and the Bering Sea still frozen, there's nothing to do but get to work on the Eroica's $100,000 hull upgrade. Springtime in Western Alaska means it can be a challenge just to dig out of the snow enough to get anything done.
In this episode we set up shop, weld the pontoon sections together, demo the old hull, install the new flotation on the dredge and have a heart-stopping moment near the end.

Nome's a very small town. There's only one crew who needs a new custom aluminum hull AND is willing to pay for it, and that's us!

In the UK it is known as Gold Divers on Discovery and currently on season 16 & under the ice...
Gold divers & other discovery reality shows would I am sure have many more viewers in the UK but they refuse to have subtitles and discriminate against the hard of hearing...

Trying not to hate on Discovery but their shiz is filled with so much superfluous BS and pointless f'ing drama, whereas this is just straight up whats going down. Learnt more about gold mining in a couple of these episodes than I have in multiple seasons of Discovery. Keep doing ya thing and good luck on the gold hunt

Beautiful job I got faith in your crew would really love to work with you all up there in Alaska but I'm 58 and retired now in living in Los Angeles where it is warmer All year long. Keep up the good work if finding gold was easy everyone dredging for gold.only the strong survive.
