#50 Removal of engine M136 and gearbox Mercedes 180 Ponton W120. Engine pull.

In this video I remove the M136 engine and gearbox on my Mercedes-Benz 180 W120 Ponton. I will fix the gear linkage, clean, paint and tidy up the engine and the engine compartment. More to follow in coming videos!

Nice video Pexyz! When was this enginge first introduced? Was 52 HP considered a strong and fast engine in the old days?

Thank you very much mr Clint Borg! The M136 engine was first introduced in 1935. By the mid 1950s it was considered outdated and a bit weak even though the actual power output of 52 hp wasn't too bad. A new and modern overhead cam engine generation was on its way . The production of the old M136 was ended in summer 1957. Thanks for your questions 👍 👌 //Peter
