Thanks for watching everyone. If you're interested in checking out the board I've left links in the description. Thanks again to Ric for helping out with this video. 😀
With the patch bay, one of the reasons there are 5 pass through inputs/outputs is so that you can run drive pedals, compression, boosts etc before the amp (via A and B for example), and place any reverbs, delays etc in the amp's effects loop (via C and D). If you want to convert it back to having all the pedals before the amp, then just plug a short patch cable between the two sets of pedals (patching B and C together). Thanks to Pete Thorn for that tip :-)
Great review Dr Ric!!!! That’s a nice pedalboard and with all the accessories, it seems to be the touring musicians’ board!!! Now if only I can win the lottery!!!! Thanks Ric and Shane!! Cheers!🎸🎸🎸🤙🏾🎸🤙🏾
@@intheblues To be fair though, you could buy the whole board with the patchbay and powersupply twice for the price of just one strymon pedal. I think you get a great product which is fair for the price if you ask me
Nice review!!! The two things that kept me from the Rockboard was that I hate velcro and the power plug didn't have an on/off switch. Two reasons I went with Temple Audio.
I’m considering a Tres 3.0 with a RockBoard MOD 2 V2… for a rather simple setup. I like that I’ll have both Midi and USB expandability available for future additions..
looks solid! I used to have a pedaltrain board, and that Rockboard looks really nice. We don't have Aluminium in Canada, I'm pretty sure they use Unobtanium. just a guess though :P
Im a Little concerned that the metal will bend from engaging a Vox/Crybaby-style Wah. Are there any experiences in the community? Would be Sweet to get some Feedback.
David Tokar thanks for your question! The blue pedal is the OverUnity dual stage overdrive from UME effects Australia. I’ve been working with the designer/builder for the past 3-4 years and it’s just about ready for commercial release. It’s a great sounding dynamic overdrive. I’ve done a short demo on my Instagram page. Feel free to check it out. My Instagram account is called rselp
Nice review thanks, how do you find the size of it, I noticed your not using much of the back of the board do you think the smaller board would be better for you. I have a similar number of pedals. Also the patch bay on the back any issues with cables getting kicked or knocked out? Looks like a cool board I'm wondering which size would be best for me. Thanks.
The patch bay an the power supply you pay separate. The board alone is 220.00 the patch bay is 99.00 and the power is 240.00 Total 559.00 So realistically for me this is an over priced hunk of metal. And it was not all in one kit convenience is key for this price.

Got a Rockboard Tres 3.1 a few months ago. It is a great purchase if you want to step up from a Pedaltrain Metro 16.
love the flyers behind you....a bit of San Francisco there....nice...thanks for the review

That's a really nice looking board. clean, organized. Well thought out. The power cable things kind of a goof up but all in all very nice.
I dig it Dr Ric ! Thanks guys !

So do you have to turn the board over every time you want to turn on the power for your patch bay ?
The power is plugged into the back of the board via the Rockboard MOD 1 which connects to your PSU.
Looks great & nice job again dr.ric !! :)
GOOD job Ric! \m/ ROCK the board!

Hey Dr. Ric!
If possible, can you guys do a review of the Bugera 333XL Infinium amp?
'Old dog ears' Johnson.
Brilliant.
