This might be a bit late, but as someone that's switched around a lot with my major/interests, what I'd recommend is:
a) Highlight the art aspects within the activities you did (were you in charge of creating posters and such for these business clubs?)
b) Talk about what inspired you (personal projects, books, videos, internet forums, and lectures)
c) Embracing your atypical experiences as it brought you to your current state. What I've learned is that a lot of fields look for the same types of skill sets (analysis, research abilities, etc...) so find that common ground and highlight that.
What I'd think hard on is what was the 'aha!' moment that led you to take the leap. Additionally, how will getting this degree/program experience help you with your future goals [this is arguably as important as what you bring to the table]? The personal statement gives the reader a snapshot of your life, and what you write and submit should be your best capture/take.

Hello Vee, there has been a huuuuuge buzz and debate in the Philippines right now regarding the presidential aspirant and the late PH president Marcos's son Bongbong Marcos. He mentioned that he had a degree / special diploma in Social Studies in Oxford(during the 70s) but some media outlets here and political rivalries of the former has refuting his claims saying he is not an alumnus of the university, because 1.) He did not obtained a degree in Oxford Uni just a "special diploma". 2.) He lied about his educational attainment and he is not in the registry of graduates in Oxford. In short, his Oxford claims are nothing but true at all.
I just have some questions for you because I really feel that regardless of all people here in the Philippines talking about as if they know the UK education system, have really no idea on how the education system in your country works.
I hope you could make a video or an explanatio the least please.. Explaining this controversy in my country. I hope you could explain what a "special diploma" obtained in the 70s in Oxford really means. And is it fair to say that he is not considered an alumnus of Oxford nor a graduate of the said Uni? How hard is it really to enter Oxford specially as a foreign student?. Your video / explanation will really help enlighten many of us here. Thank you so much.
