Darn, I remember this! My daughter and I were so bummed that you two didn't make it! Your shelter alone was enough to last a year minimum! But we get it, you have kids, a life and responsibilities that called you back! It's hard to win a competition like that when you are going up against other competitors that can literally just hang out for as long as they wan!
It's always cool to see behind the scenes from these shows. Especially from your perspective!

Brooke I found a UA-cam video of yours awhile back and subbed and then life got in tge way. I recently came across another that referenced the show Alone which I had heard of but I don't have TV so had never watched so I watched a few of your videos. Then a few more. Then I got the Hulu so I could bingewatch Alone and I am more and more impressed and in awe of you with every new thing I see. You are a remarkable woman. You are who I wanted to be before life knocked me down too many times and I got tired. So very tired. God bless you and that wonderful husband of yours whom I think is well aware of the prize he has in you! Thank you so much for sharing your lives guys. It got me through a very very rough week.

I just came across this show. I'm late, but I binged watched up to season 4. This is a really good show. It's better than naked and afraid, in my opinion.
The equipment on that set was probably worth more $$ than I've made in my entire lifetime. I would have really impressed impressed if they let everyone take home one of those motor homes as a parting gift. That's impressive they had the episode ready for airing the night after shooting it.
Hi Duck I know it was quite the set up! It was shot in July and aired a month later.
Oh, ahh.. that makes more sense. Through the magic of editing (your video) I thought it was the night after it was filmed. Did watch it the night it aired.

You are amazing. I absolutely binged on Season 4, just to see you and Dave and to see that amazing, and totally impossible cabin! Man, what you accomplished, to overcome your weight loss-which is a real problem for women, I'm guessing-is phenomenal. Brooke, you are my heroine, for sure. You kept your spirits up, no matter what, and you always were at the best of yourself. It was so inspiring. You are right about one thing, in your recap you mentioned how people had so much silly advice, and I told my husband, I would not have lasted a day without food! LOL

Have not seen any of the "Alone" segments at all. May be interesting to watch a couple though. My mind is not made up about it though. The reality programs I have seen just reinforces my thoughts about them. Such as ones like Survivor , I R.T and of course the two which started it all, The Real Housewives of and of course Dallas. I am glad that the both of you did enjoy what you did accomplish with the real hardships that you did contend with. I would like to thank both you and Dave for your You Tube channels as they are presented. thank You Both.

Thanks so much for sharing this behind the scenes look at your Alone adventure. I first stumbled, quite by accident on your "epic camping fail" video and as I began watching I immediately thought, "How familiar she looks." I knew I had seen you somewhere but initially, couldn't place where. Having enjoyed your video about your lack of fire instruments, I quickly glanced at a few of your other videos, suddenly realizing I knew you from Alone. I absolutely love that program and followed all of the participants struggles throughout season four episodes. Thank you so much for sharing some of your journeys, both on Alone and elsewhere. You are one gutsy bunch of dedicated survivalists and I can only wonder how, at age 72, I would cope under similar conditions. All of us were amazed at your Alone super hootch you two built. Win or lose, we loved watching you cope throughout your ordeals and were rooting for all of you every episode. While we take our hats off to the winners and their hard won, well deserved prize, we do wish there were some visible monetary consolation prizes for the runners up, as well. Kudos to all the participants in Alone, season four and I take my hat off to all of you. I doubt we fully understand just how difficult your Alone journey was. Thanks much for sharing this and all of your videos. I am now a dedicated subscriber, looking fwd to your next journey, wherever it might take you and of course, the next season of Alone.

So fun to see the behind the scenes stuff. I need to find a way to watch the series. I saw a vlog of Joe Robinet talking about having to call it quits and it makes me think that having to pack out and really rough it must have been a challenge. Wish you could have brought your dog. Saw a video showing how sturdy the knives your husband made for you.

I think the show was great. Perhaps the premise should evolve a bit. Like instead of who lasts the longest, you get points for ingenuity in catching food, building a shelter, quality of your diet, etc.

Saw the "Tales From The Island" show when it was originally aired. What an experience for everyone. Alone is a great series, hope it continues... You did good talking to the lens of the camera (us the viewers) with that side mounted monitor screen as a distraction. I see so many, especially on UA-cam, who talk to the LCD screen. That just gives us, the viewers, the impression they are talking to someone else which to me is distracting. Good job Brooke...

Awesome stuff. I actually couldn't finish watching the season because I was at my parents (no cable), or in India all summer. And Canadians can't stream it. I was seriously bummed.
