- @augustburnsred playing the heaviest breakdown of their song "Bloodletter" at the Fillmore Auditorium at the 20 year Anniversary show on Friday March 10, 2023 in Denver, CO and KILLING IT!
Whoever their live mixing engineer is, this mfer is a legend. Sounds AMAZING
They sound so insane live bro! It blows my mind every time
Abr literally never puts on a bad show
one of the few bands that sounds the same if not better, live
and the chandelier doesn’t even care 😅
It should drop like an avalanche 🎉😂
@@sw8661 wtf
@@metaphysical6926 it was a joke. I wasn’t talking about ppl dying bro. Didn’t think about how that would look with the way it sounded when I posted it lol. My bad man. 😳🙌
Not one bit lol
Jake’s lows sounding filthy 🤘
Bro I was there. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen period.
You need to teach a class on concert recordings because for some reason NOOObody else does it like this 👏🏻 👏🏻 I’ve been screaming for YEARS for people who are at an elevated position during a show to record the pit during THE heaviest breakdowns but everyone else sucks and keeps the damn camera on the stage the entire time.

You'll like that one too then.
i feel you. thats one of the reasons why i decided to start filming shows. youll like some of my videos from above. i have a few
the farther away from the stage the more sound has a chance to bounce, thats why you can see the crowd here but the audio sounds echoey as fuck, the best would be if you could put a recorder close to stage but capture video from balcony front row but its so hard to pull off
This show was so good, thanks for sharing one of my favorite moments from it!
I remember seeing ABR waaaay back in 2006 at a tiny VFW Hall just outside of Hartford Connecticut and there were more people on stage than in the crowd! That didn't bother them or me and my friend, we all went psycho anyways! Absof*ckinglutely amazing how far they've come since then! Such a great bunch of dudes 🤘🤘
I remember when that album came out. I listened to it straight for a good two weeks+. Bloodletter is my favorite!
Wild. When their album Thrill Seeker (2005) was released, it captivated me. I followed them for years. I got a chance to share my appreciation for their intricate time signatures in I think 2007, in Portland OR at The Satyricon. They could see I was a fan, it was a cool moment. I got to talk to JB for a bit, he told me he writes all his guitar parts on MIDI, and drums, and then him and Matt learn what he programmed Lol.. I thought that was crazy, since most people do not write their music on MIDI first. JB wrote all their songs, and the band would learn them. These guys were also very different in the fact that they dressed normal, and not rugged and metal scene.
They get better every time I see them wow 🤘
I love this band so much ❤
My favorite band! They are very good live. Just saw them on their 20th anniversary.
Great recording dude!
Sic vid and awesome sound quality. Will be seeing them for the second time in OKC next week with TDWP.
the view looks perfect, do you remember where you were seated within the auditorium?
Top recording w/ the top band. GODSEND 🔥🔥🔥
This is top tier recording. I didn’t even realize that the guitar player did the high screams!? Is this only live? Or have I been living a lie since back burner? Lol
Dustin has been doing those fries for a little while now, can’t think of which album he started tbh.
But he has been their bassist for the longest time, and now he just plays almost all the instruments lol. It’s super cool to see Dustin and Brent switch from guitar to bass and vise versa live.
@@jebbediah212 oh no doubt! Thanks for the insight buddy!
@@jebbediah212he and Jake both debuted on Messangers and you also started doing his backup vocals on that album as well!
Denver has the best crowds fr
Yup. I'm from San Antonio and they put us to shame.
Adam d would be proud of those pinch harmonics 👌
Dude needs to chill with the harmonics lol😅 My favorite breakdown from them😤🤘
It was fun tho
Squelies are life dude!
And then there's dimebag
squeelies are my favorite!
Good work by the security dudes helping out the crowd surfers.
I was in that crowd. I will never forget how fucking awesome that was.
looked amazing
Why there are chandeliers?
I was front in center up against the rail the entire time! Out of the 50+ shows in my life, this was my favorite and I've seen ABR like 10 times before.
Saw this show at a different venue in Atlanta a few weeks back. Was insane
I was there! So fun
If this was an episode of metalocalypse, that chandelier would have annihilated everyone….. 😂
Matt’s kicks sound SO good. To anyone who knows about live sound, are they possibly gated? They sound super clean and have a very distinctly short attack.
I assume they're probably using drum triggers with a sample of the kick sound they want. That's what I do currently for live shows.
@@Black0Electric To my knowledge, Matt’s never used triggers for kick samples. So I recently saw a video of Josh Dun’s kit where triggers are used to open microphone gates on the drums so that cymbals and stage noise don’t constantly bleed in. When a drum is not being played, the mic channel is “closed.” When the drum is struck, the trigger sends a signal to the console to briefly open the mic channel and immediately close it after each hit. Last time I saw ABR live, the kicks had dynamics so they were unmistakably miked but the attacks were so short yet so powerful that I couldn’t help but wonder what was going on.
@@TunnelJumperost metal bands use triggers for gate purposes (if they are micing the kick)
Matt used triggers
Absolute kings on metalcore.
That banana kills me 😂😂😂
He just disappeared 😂😂😂
I love the dude in the banana suit he’s killing it 😊!!!
There’s two of them! And they aren’t together
When did Matt Greiner start using triggers?
But why did the song end? :(
I wish they'd play Fool's Gold in the Bear Trap 😭
Dustin plays lead guitar omg
Dustin plays lead on most songs he does the writing for, this being one of them lol
@@Chattsteezy Yeah, Brent and Jake said on Garza’s podcast that they have Dustin do this because they hate playing his parts, lmao.
ABR best breakdown is White Washed. "HOWEVER I THANK YOU, FOR THIS PEN AND INK AMMUNITION, THANK YOU FOR THE INSPIRATION!"
I see me for a brief second before getting swallowed in the pit. Good times!
Back Burner >>>>>>>>>>>>>
There are hardcore vocalists and then there Is Jake lml.
Heaviest if you've never heard Meshuggah.
I love Meshuggah and have seen them live and yeah obviously they're heavier but this breakdown is still pretty sick
sounds more like killswitch engaged
“Heaviest breakdown ever” LoL
Lorna Shore enters the chat 👊
very true! I just meant for ABR and self proclaimed by Jake right before they started hah!
Hahaha dude got straight up dropped at 0:01. Trying to crowd surf.
Which song is THAT!?! 😮
Bloodletter
my brother it is literally in the title AND description what the fuck
@@metalhead2221 lmao
smh...
Darude sandstorm
Back burner is way heavier
I still think back burner is heavier
I want to hit the like, but if i do it will be 666 likes
not bad for disney channel! ;)
I’ve heard heavier breakdowns. 🤷🏼♂️
No pit? Wtf?
My god those los are terrible.
This isnt even remotley heavy try extermination dismemberment
That’s it?
Boring
that was so wack
Mid at most
I don't think this is the heaviest ever. Kinda gay.
Breakdowns can be gay? Don't know how that's possible.
Say's the guy whose never produced a song.
@@themanhimself3 I have been a professional drummer for twenty years, my guy. Opened and played with this band many times. Sit down.
@@highandtight5544 Prove it loser.
@@highandtight5544 what band did you play in thats opened for ABR? Kinda messed up to diss this band when you’re the person opening for them.
