Love this. What wonderful practical ideas.! When our children were small we had an color coded egg hunt so each child knew which eggs were theirs. When they collected them all we opened together, inside each egg were questions to answer about the resurrection story. As they answered the age appropriate questions they received one of their gifts. Fond memories. 😊Val C

I have always color coded eggs so kids got age appropriate goodies, and everyone got the same amount. I am talking for a party with up to 25 kids. I first thought of writing names on them but I thought the younger ones might not be able to read. I have done this for decades and always will. Your idea for extra family time with the questions is pretty cool 😎

I think that's a great idea of the gift bag I just think it's kind of sad that you're not giving them no type of candy even like a pack of sugar-free gum and one chocolate bar I had a friend that done that with her kids and she made all of their Suites and all of their candy that they did get and two of her daughters went crazy when they turned 18 that's all they eat they benched eat candy for like a year and put on a little bit of a way they were very tiny girls I think it's better to give a little or it is not tempting for when I get older they don't go crazy because I've had too many friends that were like that and they felt very deprived as a child and they went just hog crazy and then the sad thing was because they felt so deprived they give it to their kids all the time I was very blessed I had a mom that was very balanced with all that we was not a minimalist cuz that's wasn't what they call them back in the day but we didn't have a whole lot we had a x amount of outfits a x amount of shoes and I think it was like just a couple of hair but my mom always give us a chocolate Easter Bunny and some other candy interested basket that way we wasn't feeling deprived

Ha, my kids have candy on occasion. We put some in their Easter eggs. We just don’t put any in their basket. They’ll be ok. 😉

I love and am going to "steal " the towel idea. Who doesn't like a fresh new towel to call their own? TFS 😊

When I was a kid, my mom didn't really do Easter baskets. She bought homemade candy from one of her co-workers, and put it in a bowl that we already had. Since we didn't normally have candy, it was a great treat! I never knew that other kids got presents in their baskets until I was in high school!

That's great! I agree that it doesn't really matter what your traditions are. It's really just about creating those special memories with your kiddos.

We only got very little for Easter. A coloring book and some chocolate with the Easter egg hunt. But I love how practical your presents are. At Christmas we would get a toy we really wanted ( I'm born in the 70s , no Playstation or Xbox there 😂 ) and we got books, clothing and crafty thing like crochet or embroidery items ect. Your kids will love the gifts.

Well yes , I’m pretty amazed at how much a ‘simple living’ US family can get at Easter in their basket. I shall be dyeing some eggs tomorrow and making hot cross buns for Good Friday but other than cards that’s about it.
We’ll have family get together for Easter Sunday which will be the biggest blessing 😊 after Easter Sunday Resurrection celebration in Church. Doreen 🇬🇧
