What are your favorite ways to eat prunes? As a kid, I don't remember having them, but they just sounded gross to me. My husband grew up eating them and raved about them, and I was sold after trying them, too! My favorite way to eat them is straight out of the jar. 😊
Are those Italian plums? I have a couple of Italian plum trees but they are young, so no fruit yet. I want to make plum sauce, plum jam, and dried fruits too. I love the hack you gave about using them in place of raisins. Maybe in a homemade granola. Your plums are beautiful 😍
I looove Italian plums both fresh and as prunes. Have yet to dehydrate my own. Have you tried different dehydrators? How did you come to select yours? If you can’t tell I’m trying to decide on best one for us :). Thanks and high five from Cape Breton
My cabelas dehydrator is the only one I’ve ever used. My sister in law had one and loved it, and they were on sale so I got one years ago. I’ve always been happy with it! I’ve also heard great things about Excalibur dehydrators, but that’s as far as my knowledge goes. High five back at ya!!
Not a fan of prunes, lol 🤮, but interesting watching the process. So before moving off grid, did you know all the things you do on the channel, you seem quite informed. 😊 Just love how the little one is right in there helping out, learning the process, and don't even know it, ❤
Haha some people love them, some people hate them! I’d say I knew quite a bit just because I’ve had an interest in homesteading, so I’ve watched videos and read articles, etc. but there’s also lots that we’ve just had to learn as we go!

It was a savory dish! I don’t remember exactly but it was a dark, saucy meat and prune dish. I believe we had it over rice. I really liked it!
