Very helpful. The added in comments also helped out with details that a visual-only illustration wouldn't have articulated. My only complaint was the somewhat odd choice of background music. Left me with nightmares for two weeks. But after just my first few days of psychotherapy treatment, I'm already feeling better, and more comfortable. Almost comfortable enough to attend my therapy sessions without my high cap, pistol grip, tactical 12 gauge in my stiffly clenched hands. Baby steps. Baby steps. Baby steps.
My Wingmaster from ‘52 (!) doesn’t seem to have a left shell latch! Spent a while trying to find it to no avail haha. Thank you for the instructional video, it was very helpful.
I've had mine nine years and it's always been a royal pain getting the bolt/carrier back in. Cleaned and lubed my gun today and I got it back in just like in the video. I couldn't believe it! Let's see next time.
Follower gets gummed up and sticks in tube, use cleaning rod to push down one side of cocked orange plastic to remove, clean thoroughly. Push action rods from inside towards the receiver walls, they are spring loaded to remove and to install , video is good but needs to stress the part about action rods being spring loaded
I jammed my gun trying to put it back together helpppp!!!! Not sure what to do but it’s stuck and I can’t get it the pump off or the pieces before it that go into the part that goes in before you put the trigger back on.
Down to the receiver and for-end. I pull up the disconnect lever and pull the for-end away from the receiver. It will not come apart! Any suggestions ? All ok, I found it.
That's the trick part. The way I figured it out is trying without the carrier first. Then you can see what's holding you up. Hope it helps you. Pistols are much easier, haha.
My rifle says Remington 870 on it. Some Remingtons say 870 express. There are express, express magnum, policy and wingmaster on the Remington website. But there is no Remington 870 on it. What is my rifle? Is it a separate model? I could not understand. I am writing from Turkey. I would appreciate it if you could inform me. Thank you in advance.
There's a reason why this is a $300 shotgun. Never had so much trouble reassembling a gun in my life. Do yourself a favor and don't take the bolt out. Just remove the barrel and clean that. The rest can be done with Rem action cleaner and a good dose of Rem oil. My fingers are bleeding.
My dad got so mad thanks for helping saved me 😅
i was just tryna clean mine and i fucked it up😂
Oh damn I been there bro
Dad bought fucked me up worse than the 870 lmao
Bought my first shotgun a week ago and the manual was no help. Watching this at 0.75x speed got me through it without an issue. Thank you 💯
What shotgun did you bought? Same as this?
@@jhulianvilla7750 um yeah no shit sherlock?
You said a lot without sayin a word... I dig it
👍🇺🇸
Anyone want to buy a disassembled 870, can’t get this bolt back in I give up

are you the music police?
@@havrodwillfish did he intrude into your safe space zone?
Yes, the music is goofy, glad for mute.
🤓
I enjoyed the music. Helped set the mood.. 😊
This is the best 870 breakdown video on UA-cam.
It will be appreciated for many years to come.
Great job.
The Remington 870 will always be the greatest pump action to ever exist. Should be one in every home.
@Ty Wert forgive me as I don't know a lot about guns. What's the downside of it being soldered on?
@@jondaniels4325 u cant clean it as easily
This shotgun is the biggest pain in the rear I’ve ever had to deal with. This video is fantastic. Thank you.
Agree on both points. I STRUGGLE with putting mine back together, and this video clearly explains how to do it the right way
Thanks, man. Hadn't field stripped my shotgun in years and this helped.
Perfect video. Short, clear, and with printed instructions when needed. I I used to know how to do this. Now I know again! Thanks
Thank you!
Same here, it's been twenty odd years... thank you!
I am going to get one of these as my first firearm! Just a great looking weapon. Cheers to the great video 🙏
it was mine last year. did you get yours yet? or another gun?
Why is everything so smooth and easy for you I had to fight every damn piece in and out 😂😂😂
Going hunting tomorrow. Took my gun apart to fit it on my motorcycle then couldn’t get it back together. This video saved my day. Thank you
Glad it was useful for you!
I got my 870 this last Sunday (5 days ago). Using this video, I can now completely deconstruct it and put it back together in under 1:30. Great video
Glad it was useful for you!

The only video I found on UA-cam that was clear and concise. Thanks again you saved me from my dad. 😂
Glad it was useful for you! :)
Sounds like everyone has a hang up on the carrier.
I did too.
I tried it without the carrier first to see what was holding me up.
Hope this helps.
My thumbs are literally bleeding everywhere from trying to get the bolt into its designated area…
Just cleaned my father’s 870 thank you sir it was very dirty lol
Thanks for the video! Very helpful! Especially to remove/replace the forend/bolt assembly!
Glad it was useful for you.
Thank you for saving me from so much frustration! I appreciate this video!
Saved me a trip to the gun shop and hard telling how much money. Thank you very much.
The bolt is always a pain in the flank to get back in.

Why would you have any thumbs down?

Short, sweet, super helpful. Works for my tac-14. Thank you!
You are more than welcome!

Thank you. My action bar was in my trigger mechanism. Thanks
Real gangster music

1:29 is really hard for me.
Dude, mine goes in way to hard lol

It was hard for everyone
mine goes in easy but it was hard to figure it out in the first place.
Thanks for keeping it short. Nice tutorial.
Great instructional video! Made this look easy.
What song is this.. it sounds like this rare kurt Cobain song I had on a bootleg.
Rob Chesley That's what I thought too, but there's a band called Pagoda that sounds just like Nirvana. Not saying it's Pagoda though.
What type of barrel these guns take never had a Remington I'm tryna get rid of this duck barrel to something like a 18.5
Excellent video. Cool background music.
That was super helpful, thank you.
i agree with corn bread below great video
The video was awsome but the music made me feel like I was on a yacht with Ron L Hubbard, lol !
I really want a plane Jane 12 gauge like that for home defense
What year was the 870 featured in the video produced?
About 2017-2018.
U put the trigger group in 1st
Thanks so much
I honestly don't think that there is an easier shotgun to take apart than the Remington 870 as far as repeating pump action shotguns go.
Stoger pumps are wayyyyy easier no messing with with any latches
Tha day and the night compared to my Ithaca 37 !!!!
whats the background music
Does the tube not screw out?
No, it is soldered.
Thanks partner.
That little detail where you have to depress the rail and pinch the two springs on the inside is so f****ing annoying.
Stuck on the bolt

How do you get the follower out
Hold the magazine tube down and it should slide right out.
Ironically everybody else is having trouble getting the bolt in and I can’t get the fucking thing to come out 🤦🏻♂️
Genau wiee bei Mossberg
Very good
Почём нынче цена?
That is only a partial disassembly.
The orange thing would not come out
Try rotating it. There are slots on the orange follower and they should be placed in front of the dimples.
Forget the music
Cool ! ))

Or maybe you're just too feminine for an 870? Both of your comments are nothing but whining and complaining 🤣🤣
You're instructions are easy. Thank you but your music is terribly annoying.
WARNING MIND NUMBING VOMIT INDUCING BACKGROUND MUSIC INSTEAD OF INTELLIGENT STEP BY STEP EXPLANATIONS
Truth! Sounds like the guys teenage son has a band.
Your correct will the terrible annoying garbage noise.!!!
This music makes me want to kms
Lose the music.
