    Congrats once more, Drex! As for the Q&A, I have a few questions.
    1. What are your thoughts on pseudoscientific ideas floating in and through the flow community?
    2. You mentioned that gatekeeping has been a pervasive problem in every flow art. Do you think that is still the case?
    3. What recommendations do you have for a budding flow artist, wanting to build their own brand?
    4. Outside of poi, what other things are you passionate about?

      Excellent questions, all! I think I can promise one or more of these will be covered in the Q&A video.

    Congrats, I have 2 questions for you
    1) How did you go on the journey from discovering poi to continue to push to the highest levels of poi, I know my own journey is filled with bright lights followed by pitch black in terms of where to go next so curious what yours was like.
    2) what are your myers briggs letters ?

      Excellent questions...though I should point out that my MBTI type has changed over the years. Which would you prefer to know: where I started or where I'm at right now?

    Congratulations for 100k subs ✨this channel is awesome 💎
    After how many months from when you started did your channel get monetized and what advice would you give to other youtubers who start their UA-cam journey in arts like fire poi and staff spinning? I used to edit videos and managing a UA-cam channel for a circus artist and some videos were difficult to get views although shorts were getting higher views and subs..maybe is the niche I guess?!

    • @DrexFactor
      @DrexFactor  23 дні тому +1

      This one narrowly missed the final cut of the Q&A video. It's a tough question to answer because I started my channel before UA-cam monetization was a thing. If memory serves, once they announced it it took me less than a year to qualify, but I already had a start on getting there. The advice I would give to others starting their UA-cam journey in the Flow Arts is to learn about keyword targeting as soon as possible so you grow and gain traction on the platform. Learning how discovery works on this platform so that you can actually get people to find you is both easier than you'd think as well as helpful for gaining traction on other platforms as well. Tutorial content almost always does well. Learn about the Hygiene, Hub, and Hero model for producing content and that'll help out a lot. There's plenty of views available for the having, we just need to put more work into knowing how to tell the UA-cam algorithm who to serve our content up to.

    Congrats on the huge milestone! What is your relationship with props other than poi these days, do you still have time/motivation to work on other flow arts? Or is poi the only prop you gravitate toward?

    • @Make.Rainbows
      @Make.Rainbows Місяць тому +1

      Congrats Drex! My question was the same - what other props do you use? Would you ever make more doubles tutorials or performances?

    • @DrexFactor
      @DrexFactor  23 дні тому +1

      I spin poi most days and try to free up time to do it for fun as often as possible. It can be hard given the time demands of being a content creator, but I still really enjoy just putting on music and exploring the prop for a little while. It's very rare that I pick up other props. As I mentioned elsewhere, if I were to add any prop at this point it'd be fans. I also have plenty of sets of double staffs as well as hoops that I don't think I've touched in years now.

    Best pocket friendly led poi sets?
    Familiar with any flow events or something close in Utah?

    • @DrexFactor
      @DrexFactor  23 дні тому

      Thanks! I honestly don't know of any LED poi sets that I'd recommend that fit easily into pockets (or, at least my pockets). Podpoi are nice and portable and fit in a bag, but are too big for my pockets. An event called Utah Flow Fest just happened this past weekend at BonneVille Seabase. We'll see if they have another event next year but event info can be found here: instagram.com/utahflowfest/

    1) What's your ideal handle weight for contact poi?
    I'm enjoying the differences in weight between SpinBalls and my new LanternSmith set.
    2) how to find people who spin poi in the DFW area of Texas? I would like to have at least one person to watch/learn-from in person. I'd really hate to reinstall FB.
    Keep up the great work!

    • @DrexFactor
      @DrexFactor  Місяць тому +1

      I'll answer the latter right now. Download the FlowArtsMeetUp app--I just checked and there's dozens of people listed in the DFW area, though I'm not sure how frequently they check their messages on the app.

    • @DrexFactor
      @DrexFactor  23 дні тому

      Circling back around to the questions I didn't answer in my final video! I actually don't spin contact poi super often anymore, but when I do it's almost always either Orb Poi Pros or Flowmoja Poi, so whatever weight is the default for either one is what I go with. Back when I was using contact poi more regularly I'd use PomGrips with six washers of weight. I'm not sure how much that comes out to in grams.

    My question is: is there a prop that you have not tried yet, 1. but want to, 2. and not interested in it?

    • @DrexFactor
      @DrexFactor  23 дні тому +1

      No props I can think of that I haven't tried yet. There are a LOT of props, however, that other people really want me to try. As for props that I know I'm not interested in, there are a lot. Contact staff doesn't make much sense to me and by extension I really feel no pull toward dragon staff. Triads, leviwand, whips, rope dart, etc all aren't really my cup of tea. I hoop, spin double staff, and mostly spin poi and I'm pretty happy with that arrangement. If I were to add one my prop to the pile it would probably be fans.
