Love to see more of those denim tables
It was very generous of your wife and you to give away the best jeans tables from the previous video.
12:15 just use a pair of metal tweezers to avoid burning yourself... dude....
I appreciate the movie references!!!

You know what makes Cam’s videos so much better than other woodworking videos? It’s the constant yap. I don’t think I could survive without it.
Lmao he’s a professional yapper
Totally
His yapping is soothing. Other people I mute. 🤫 😂
Yap = narration.
Yapation, if you will.🤔
I usually hate yapping but he's so good at it, those 27 minutes flew by lol
Cam has cracked UA-cam honestly. The thumbnails are always incredible, I've never not clicked on a Blacktail video the second i see the thumbnail
Just need to convince a few million more people to agree with you 👊
and no clickbait!
@@BlacktailStudio At almost 2.7 Million subs....you're getting noticed. Keep up the great work.
And never stop calling out those who complain. I look forward to the end of your videos as much as Iike the content.
My brother... 43k views in an hour... i think he is right @BlacktailStudio lol!
0:12 I do like it, and I think it would make a great desk in my home.
I am ALWAYS entertained by your voice-overs. In fact, there are usually 2-4 instances where I burst into laughter (eg: heating colour sticks and assuming you won’t singe your finger). Yes, I love your videos!! ❤❤
That is the coolest table I have ever seen Gandalf would love it that's a "You shall not pass" epic table 😮. It should be on display in the London Design Museum. It rivals your charred table design. I think you under rate your skills and ideas. I have never seen anyone else do these things. Keep doing keep pushing the limits you and Scott have proven that you do and do it with imagination style and creativity. Salvador Dali did his own thing look where it got him right to the top in a realm of his choosing. No better place to be.
This has to be one of the most genuine woodworking channels. No clickbait thumbnails or titles, honest and funny commentary, and also great woodworking content.
love the channel but you gotta admit the titles can get really clickbait
Ya, I have to admit I try to get right up to the line of clickbait. Then put my toes right on the edge when I write my title.
@@willfox662 They're clever titles designed to draw clicks, but usually the term clickbait carries the connotation of dishonesty.
Odd question here. But what did you do with your scaled samples? I’d love to get one🥸
@@BlacktailStudiohanging 10 on the clickbait bro. Resistance is futile.
“That is more yellow than I was expecting”
Hilarious jump cut to the table! Great editing and even greaterer table!
I’ve been watching you for a while. I can absolutely say that 99% of your pieces I would completely put in my home! Most are stunning! The fact that you are so incredibly meticulous with making them look flawless is awesome. I hope the new owner truly appreciates all your hard work.
Cam, that table is absolutely stunning! The way your colouring and the black epoxy have come together is just amazing. It definitely looks like a 'Lava table' to me rather than a 'Dragon table' but either way you definitely have a winning combination all around there. Well done! Oh, and please keep up your commentary, I love listening to you walking us through the processes, trials and tribulations of each of your builds.
I know he's been here a long time, but Scott is easily the best addition to this channel. His insights make you a better creator and I love his commentary.
The table actually looks like a flying Z Dean guitar. I’d like to call the dean table.
HAHAHA! The burn from the fill stick was hilarious. I love the interactions between Cam and Scott almost as much as the beautiful pieces that come out of Blacktail
I screamed "at least hold it with some pliers" at the screen.
I laughed a bit and winced a touch as well. I would have put a 2-3 inch wood screw in that wax stub to give myself some relief and not get burned.
There are extensions for charcoal or wax crayons in art supplies. Don't know if the radius will fit, but yeah better then burning your fingers off 🤗🤣
Just tack the old stick on the end of a new stick. Wax on....
Been subscribed for a long time now. Like since before the mammoth tusk which was an amazing project.
You inspired me to start my own woodworking company.
Started an LLC
Bought damn near all the tool needed.
My father gave me a DeWalt plainer.
Made about 7 cutting boards.
Then..
Disaster struck.
Suffered a spine injury at my day job ( marine technician)
Haven't touched my shop since and it's very hard to cope.
I pray one day I can get back into it.
Let alone walk again.
Keep up the amazing videos.
You inspired me
And your videos keep my distracted from my never ending pain.
Thank you . .
Oh wow!! Love the colors!! Would be a great gaming desk !! Would definitely want something like this with the exact colors!! Beautiful work
Love that Cam casually dyes a beautiful pattern Into the wood, gets second thoughts, completely obliterates it, and repeats about 15 times.
I wanna add a new category to your projects: "it's awesome and I want it, but my home isn't worthy" ! This piece is PHENOMINAL 🎉🎉
Likewise. I would love to have this piece but it would be wasted in my house where my current IKEA desk languishes in an unseen corner. I would have to buy a new house with an office off the entryway so I could show off the desk to everyone.
ohhhh dear gahhhh that's is stunning. Definitely one of my favorites of yours and yes I would have that in my house. And as someone that am currently working on my house, I've learned a lot from your techniques.
WOW This is amazing. Hope this table ends up at my house. And for 27:43 minutes was thinking how awesome it would be to sit at that piece of art and watch some more of your entertaining videos. 🤟😁
I clicked the wrong icon and ended up on this channel a few years ago, and I'm hooked. Not only do you build amazing stuff, but the entertainment, humor and irony is 100 of 100.
For what it's worth - I think your voice overs are freaking awesome! They are the main reason I watch your videos start to finish without even skipping once.
And......OMG - I haven't seen anything like that table and I really want it in my house!!!
I agree. Some videos the voice overs get annoying. But I feel Cam has found the perfect balance.
We just discovered him and immediately liked him! 😊
I agree. Cam’s voice keeps me tuned in to the end on every video! 💕
I would definitely love this in the house! Great channel, it's not often a channel/videos can keep my attention on the screen, I'm usually doing 7-10 things at once. I was glued to the video on your latest two and going back for more!
I would love this desk and the awesome tables!! Way more gorgeous than anything I could afford to make or buy! ❤❤❤
Your original denim desk 100% gave me that feeling of " wow! I've never seen anything like that and I want that in my house" that was definitely your Holy Grail item for me.
Same, his damascus (pattern welded) tables are insane, but that denim-v1 is just the goat! Happy shahin🎉
Same. I didn't like the Damascus ones though I could admire the workmanship.
You would love carbon fiber work.
yeah, exactly. was new but somehow still looked traditional (who doesnt love a good pair of levis?)
The voice over is at least 50% of the quality of your video. Good humor and humility, it’s awesome. And I would love to have a desk like that. And that little round blue table is amazing.
Keep making video I’ll keep watching here in France.
I am ALWAYS entertained by your voice-overs. In fact, there are usually 2-4 instances where I burst into laughter (eg: heating colour sticks and assuming you won’t singe your finger). Yes, I love your videos!! ❤❤ and YES I would put it in my house❤❤
You're funny and intriguing, Honest and inventive. All of this makes me so excited to get started in epoxy work, however I have no Idea where to start when it comes to where to get my wood and what tools are necessary to start with.
Thank you for your videos!
Guitar builder here! When we're doing the multi coloring ("Bursts" as they're called) it's a lot easier to start with the darkest color. That way you can sand back the areas where lighter colors will go until you get the level of transparency you want. You can then put the next lightest color across the WHOLE piece, which will give you a much more consistent color gradient. This way, you don't really have to worry about blending the different layers as you had to here (the blending comes from the sanding step). Rinse and repeat for subsequent layers going from darkest to lightest.
Isn't it dependent on the material you're using for the guitar and the type of paint?
@@AtotehZ He's not painting here he's dyeing. Dye is transparent so you can see previous layers. For paint you usually just spray on flood coats similar to how automotive guys do it.
This would literally clash with everything I own and i’d still put it in my house. It’s that cool.
Haha, I thought the same thing. All my furniture is garbage, and man would that thing look out of place. But who fucking cares?! It's sick!
I thought the same thing. I bet it looks even better in person.
Truth!
This is one of the most beautiful tables I've ever seen, and coming from me, that is saying alot. Three things I don't like that usually make me turn away from products are simplicity, odd shapes, but....GDAMN if this thing isn't the coolest, simplest, odd shaped desk I've ever seen! Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL work.
I’d absolutely put that desk in my house! Such great work with the shape and colors!
The 'body relief' really makes the table pop. This table would fit so well in a recording studio with guitars hanging on the wall next to it!
I just thought the exact same thing
💯
Yes I would put this table in my house! My 22 year old grandson is a gamer and I would love to win this for him. He lives here with me and his dad. He doesn't have a room of his own, and our living room is his bedroom. I'm disabled and I spent last year in the hospital more than I did at home. My health is failing and I would love to do something for him before I pass away. I can't afford to do anything great and I have watched quite a few of your videos and I really love your work. I love the banter between you and Scott. I'd rather hear you talk about what you are doing than just watch someone make things with no audio. It shows that you have a personality and are a great guy. This table is so beautiful and I have never seen anything like it. Thank you for sharing and letting me share with you ☺️❤ Peace and Blessings to you and your family.❤
Oh my goodness Catherine I’m so so sorry to hear about your health. I will be praying for you. Do you know Jesus as your personal savior? Once we die we either go to Heaven or hell and Christ loves us so much that he died for our sins so we could be saved. The Bible says if we believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead 3 days later and is Lord we will be saved. Believe Christ paid for your sins personally and when you stand before God the Father you will be justified because of the blood of Christ. None of us could ever earn heaven on our own. We all deserve hell, but Christs offers us the gift of eternal life!
@@Zacharythorsen I do believe in Jesus Christ and that He died for our sins and through Jesus is the only way to see Heaven. Thank you for your prayers. May God bless you and your family as well 🙏❤️🩹
This might be one of the most beautiful tables I've seen you build. It looks amazing!
This table is amazing!! Love you made it a sit/stand desk, it’s the only way to go.
Absolutely love that you aren't just a woodworker, but also an artist and likes to try new stuff!
I think it is very neat that you can take a piece of nature and add to it and end up with such a beautiful piece of art. I know the perfect place for it.
as a childcare provider i have had many kindergarteners come through my door and i can honestly say i would happily hang that piece of art on my fridge any day. even the testers would make great coasters or sandwich boards...thanks for sharing your process, i always enjoy.
I would absolutely put this desk my house. I think it's beautiful! It would be an honor to sit at a desk every day that has craftsmanship, hard work and the artistic process.
love it,looks extremely good, orange is my color! the way you blended the colors just makes it stand out more, good job!
NEVER STOP CREATING SOMETHING COMPLETELY NEW! That is the formula of success.
I love how these woodworking youtubers are friends and promote each other.
First video of yours I've seen, great humour, great project, and dedication!
This is the most gorgeous table you've ever made. Absolutely stunning ❤
As a south african living in the UK. This table automatically made me think of the african sunsets I miss so much. I would love to have this table in my home office. This table is a masterpiece. You are so talented.. 😊
"Sometimes you just can't improve on what nature did perfectly."
Cam, I'm blushing! You're too kind, but honestly I'm here to watch some woodworking just like everyone else. 🙏
I love every single one of your tables that were mentioned in this video and I would have all of them in my house! Not even joking! All are so unique and you can never go wrong with homemade items. Talent and time go into these and they are all very impressive!
I've already got the perfect spot for it... this is the most beautiful table, honestly, Cam you have really outdone yourself this time!!
Got to love your humility. A design teacher once told me no one ever talks about Michaelangelo's endless mistakes and failures. That keeps me sane.
I love the collaboration with four eyes. Would like to see more of that. Very different styles, but they come together well.
I agree, Foureyes & Blacktail are 2 of the best YT build/designing channels. I love Jonny Builds too!
If I had that desk in my house I wouldn't shut up about it! It's amazing! such a great job and craftmanship! Congrats!
I like the way you narrate your product into a story with comical and other interesting bits. And without the information on how much time this actually takes, it would probably come off way underappreciated. It follows that unwritten rule of success, that everybody only sees the final outcome not journey behind it and it paints it even better than you did this table :)
Your strength is not that you always know what you are doing. It's that you are not afraid to try and have the confidence that you can fix/change whatever you dont like. I love your work, the commentary, the education and most of all, your sense of humor.... Keep it up. I don't even do wood working and you are one of my favorite channels
Usually I don’t like the pieces you build. I’m not a fan of epoxy tables. But I always enjoy watching you building them - the expertise, the craftsmanship, the elaborate finishing process and how you cope with problems and mistakes.
There is an exception to every rule: Being a hobby woodworker and a guitarist I‘d really love to have this specific table in my home office.
this is fabulous and I would love it in my house! now I've said that twice (Damascus table) so not sure why you think this is not going to happen. please keep them coming.
I love what you do. I’ve watched every video you ever made. I’ve never done any woodworking. I admire the work you do. Everything is so beautiful. Having a desk such as this would be a dream come true. It is absolutely beyond this world beautiful. Yes, I would love to have this in my home office. I know I would never be able to do something like this. I am handicapped and work from home.
Cam..
Your content is incredibly inspiring!
I your voice over are awesome!
&
the table turns out fantastic!
This is definitely one of the projects that was unique and most people would love in their house. The guitar theme was also another awesome way to touch another community.
Your live edge tables and epoxy got me started watching Blacktail Studio but then since I have no workshop but justa few hand tools the videos became a fantasy world rather than my reality so I quit watching. Then out of nowhere came the Dragon Desk video to solve my own nightmares on my white oak cookie end table project and my attempt at “guitar burst” using your exact same dye colors! In my case a little knowledge is sometimes disastrous! My hope is now renewed and I am emboldened -I won’t be dumping my project! 😊
My girlfriend absolutely Loves that desk!! Her favorite colors and scheme.
This is fabulous and anybody who’s lucky enough to have this in their house should enjoy every moment of having it .
Accidentally making one of the coolest looking desks ever. I would appreciate a desk that looks like that.
I love this so much. It'd be perfect for me as a wheelchair user. You did a great job. It's awesome and gorgeous while still functional for anyone
First of all, purple is my favorite color... but it has to be a darker, bluer purple. This came out amazing tho. You made the right choice. I wish i could afford a table like this. Awesome work...
I lost my Dad last week and had shown him a couple of your videos while he was in the hospital. He thought you were hilarious with your self-deprecating sense of humor and was genuinely impressed with the projects he saw.
Thanks for that, Cam.
I am so sorry for your loss, yet glad that you had a relationship with your father. I just want to say that I just prayed for you, and thank you for sharing this, too.
Good share my man. Sorry for your loss. Thats great u got to be there with him towards the end.
Dang man, so sorry to hear that. Thank you for saying that though.
Sorry for your loss and thanks for sharing your experience
Rest in Peace to your Pops. Feel their love and stay strong.
As a guitar player, I appreciate the color, the shape, the finish... the belly cut is a very nice touch. This desk is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, and I would absolutely put it in my house!!
there are so many people who would love this. I'm one of them!
Not gonna lie, the dragon desk looks so awesome. Good job on creating such a piece.
Would definatly restructre a room for that piece. It just looks amazing.
Being an autobody tech all my life carpentry has always fascinated me. Your Black Walnut table hooked me. Always said to myself I'd attempt making one for my wife, which never happens. None the less, great work!
I am a old school gamer and I would love to have this in my house. It is something I would drag visitors to show off. Great work
My wife would absolutely love that as a stand desk for work. Holy crap that’s gorgeous! Outstanding work yet again sir.
This is a beautiful peace and the evolution of the project really opened my eyes to the possibility of fixing things that don't feel right at the beginning.
Hey. I clicked on the viode coz i saw a table with the Dragon's Breath finish.....and it is my favourite PRS finish...!!
And The Stratocaster is the most beautiful and my favourite guitar!!
You are most definitely an artist and not a scam artist! Artists do not have to be able to draw. The care, attention to detail, preparation and innovation in the way you apply colour is awesome.
Cam, your narrative is second to none, as is your humour and your selfdeprecation and your honesty. I'm a software engineer and I could rewrite your narrative to fit quite a few of my projects.
I loved that little blue table you showed in this video. You could even change the shades of blue on the top of it to make it look like an ocean on the top. That would look good in a beach house. 😊
Love the piece. It turned out fantastic and the Flexispot legs were a great addition.
That looks SO awesome!
Though I do have to disagree...Purple is an amazingly beautiful colour.
The state of Louisiana agrees
Excellent "Silence of the Lambs" depiction. No explanation needed!
As always, stunning work.
Totally would put that in my house. That, paired with a gaming PC... chef's kiss.
I have enjoyed all your videos! Thank you. I’m not a woodworker, I’m a grandmother of 10 and all I can say is you do amazing work, very skilled, very clean, and just the right amount of OCD 😊. I will also say that your wife must be both proud of you and a total boss for supporting you in your passion. Bless you both.
PS Scott rocks!
I'm a photographic artist, and I am in love with this design. I think you are more of an artist than you give yourself credit for. When I watch your videos I see art being created. The way you approach is only further evidence of that. Personally, I can see myself sitting at it, editing images, and it would just brighten my mood to do my own work. SOOOOOO. I love it. I want it! I can definitely see it in my home. I can go one step further and say that this desk speaks to me.
Agreed
Cam's Honesty in his projects are just seriously on point. Love the way he just states it like it is and keep pushing through no matter how the result turns out. It is this method of learning knowledge that takes a professional to the next level.
OMG that is the sweetest table ever, that would look so awesome in my house. I have faux white brick and faux white and grey brick panels in my livingroom with swords hanging on my walls. Red, gold and black accents on the walls, that would so match everything in my house. Thank you for this video, i love your work and the colors match my dragon incense burner
I would put a piece like this in my house. As a someone in crafts, I love seeing the detail you put into your work. Keep it up man.
I'm a truck driver, and yes I would put this in my home. I love the colors of that dragons breath. The stiale of the top is very functional. The standup sit leg system works well also . Great job.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎
If nobody else would take it into their house, I will gladly take it. I freaking love it!
That table is friggin awesome! My computer room is set up with an epoxy floor that looks kinda like molten lava and that table would kill in there. Love it. Good work!
table turned out magnificent. That audio bloopers at the end was great idea.
Very nice piece! Just so you know, I’ll never get tired of watching the walnut and black epoxy tables. Your walnut and brass desk is still my favorite piece.
I’m from England and I watch one of these videos every night before bed. Every single piece I’ve ever seen you make I would definitely have in my home, the attention to detail and the craftsmanship in each piece is awesome.
I realise it’s a long shot but I would be ecstatic if you chose me to give that table a home for life 🫡🙌🏽🙌🏽✊🏼
I watch these types of videos all the time. One of these days I'm going to have the space and the money to build my own cool stuff. Keep on rockin' my friend. 🤘
I was on the border on throwing it out and starting again. I admire how you kept at it and I now love it!
Nice table! It's refreshing that you're not shy to admit when you're figuring stuff out as you go.
I'm digging your creative process that includes collaborating with your buddies. It's no small thing finding the right people who are okay about being really honest with you. Saves you time, money and energy. Speaking of honesty, Hell yeah, this desk is beautiful. Loving the graduated flame effect. For anyone winning this desk, it'll surely brighten their day and their workspace and, help them stay passionate about whatever work they do. Well done, Cam! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
This desk is GORGEOUS! I work from home and would be honored to have this in my office!
That is by far the most incredible table and woodworking piece that i've ever seen. Love your work
I am a guitarist with over 30 years of playing and I also play PRS guitars. This desk speaks to me on so many levels. I would proudly have this in my house. Quite frankly this would be my dream desk. You absolutely nailed this. Great job as always.
Im shocked anyone gives negative feedback on your projects. The stuff you create is just insanely gorgeous. This table is probably my favorite table to date. Looks incredible.
Absolutely love it xx
Hey @blacktailstudios, Cam you have encouraged me to want to chase table building and i certainly want to give it a go and learn all i can. It looks like fun but i acknowledge that it has it’s challenges. I find it very interesting when mistakes are made not just because you show them which I’m grateful as a true craftsman always shows his mistakes. However i shows me what to and not to do saving me not just money, but something more previous and that’s God given time that we can’t get back. Money comes and goes. But that same time never returns. You may not be the best wood worker according to your own words, however you’re doing a mighty fine job. Will also add that i’m in Australia so your influence has reached far and wide. Thanks for the laughs and the education. I laugh with you, not at you by the way, love seeing the smiles and hearing the laughs while working. God bless you my friend☺️🙏🏻🙌🏻
Not often I regret living in New Zealand but I seriously LOVE this table & 100% would enjoy it in my home
The great thing about watching Cam work is just watching him work. He turns out great projects, some better then other, but they all look great in their own right.
The second thing.. I love how dry you are with your humor. My god man. Never change. I dig when you and Scott are going back and forth. You all seem to feed off each other well. IDK who is going to win this table but my house would wear that with pride.
Cam & Scott’s chemistry as a duo gets better and better.
Beautiful piece of furniture. Please continue making great videos. And yes, never seen anything like this and I would love it in my office.
