This is a short solo from The Bitch Is Back that is a good entry level solo if you are trying to get that distinct Elton sound. I will walk you through the solo slowly with all you need to know to start working on it today! There is also a MIDI File available to help you learn even faster and can help you learn it in a different key if you like.
For a quote on a transcription you would like for me to do just for you, email me here: chrisbarkersmusic@gmail.com
Due to copyright infringement issues and video blocking I am unable to create UA-cam videos for many of the suggestions that I receive in the comments section. I do, however, create videos and MIDI files just like on my channel for clients who would like a specific piano part transcribed for any video or audio file!

The first part of the right hand: When going up to speed, I would think that it's difficult to get a good precision when you "slide" your second finger from Bb to B. I would go for instead using finger 2 and 3 for that. It is recognized that this makes the distance to the upper G somewhat longer, but I still think it is better to use two separate fingers there.

I totally agree it's more difficult to be precise with those slides with my method. Problem for me is my hands are too small to use separate fingers...it's a curse I have to live with though :-)

Fantastic Thanks so much. Where did you learn this? They don’t teach things like that in The Music Conservatory 😮

Just years of figuring stuff out. I went to school for music but it was all classical training as well. Takes time but it's doable.

Hey John, I do play this type of stuff by ear for sure. I do read music but usually reserve that for other types of music that I have to play.
