This is a transcription of a wonderful performance that has been one of my favorites for a long time. Burn Down The Mission has been one of Elton's most popular live songs since the 70's. With the help of this video you can figure out how he plays this himself much quicker than usual. If you really want to take the learning of this song seriously you can also download the MIDI file and take your playing to the next level.

I do not have perfect, absolute, or relative pitch :-) I do have a fairly good ear but most of it is really paying attention to detail and not settling for okay work. Keep watching for more!

Two issues: On the chorus, when he sings, "Burn Down the Mission," Elton plays the Db chord, but with an Ab in the bass, (i.e., 2nd inversion). Also, when he modulates up a whole step, with Elton playing the Eb chord, he plays a Bb in the bass, (2nd inversion). The transcription should reflect this. :)

I'll take a look at it and see, sheet music is another subject. I have had a hard time justifying the time to make that happen but hopefully in the future if enough people are wanting print music I can provide it. Thanks for the suggestion!
