    As much as I love how this can completely revolutionize search engine and might put even Google business at risk but the major problem is that copilot takes data from different search engine. Search engine itself feeds on people's data. However when more user will depend on copilot, less people will start discussing topics on forums, chat, blogs, etc which means copilot will slowly stop generating new answer because there's no discuss from where the data can be harnessed into the copilot. Certainly they need someway for people to ask questions as well as provide new discussion topic for copilot to continuously take over search engine business

      @ylamoon Рік тому +2

      AI can still have data from users' inputs even if we stop using web forums or creating websites. This is because AI models are trained on massive datasets of text and code, which can include data from a variety of sources, such as books, articles, code repositories, and social media.
      Once an AI model is trained, it can be used to generate new text, translate languages, write different kinds of creative content, and answer your questions in an informative way, even if it is not connected to the internet.

      Its ok. When people discuss with AI they unknowingly provide their knowledge to it. So its ok if it is unable to pull data from forums while it is pulling it directly from humans.

    • @blandyblanco
      @blandyblanco Рік тому +2

      I also had this concern. But if some topic is not well explained or a problem is not well solved by copilot, people will still search for these new topics in forums to discuss them and other platforms and will increase the amount of data which AIs can learn from. If something is already discussed in many varieties of perspectives, there is no need to have new discussion on that.

      @@blandyblanco I am with you on this. Either way, Copilot was never meant to replace the human capacity to control quality. It's only there to provide efficiency and quantity. Yet, the output quality is still dependent on the prompts/command of the end-user and their decision to manually revise portions of the result.
      And I agree. Either way, human as we are, we are bound to talk about new things and not linger in the old topics. Large-language will remember what used to be talked about and will be the point of reference of the greater data. So the depletion of forums is nowhere near now.

    The prices have gotten completely out of control. It's saddening, and I'm wondering who the artists are that can afford this -- and whether they'd even choose this over other digital art devices for their workspace. It was widely considered overpriced last time when it started at $1600 without dedicated graphics (did the pen even come with it last time?) And now I'm learning we have to pay $2000 for a laptop with no GPU??? I don't even get a TB of storage? It's beyond pathetic - and this could go for the Surface Laptop Go too - $800? Just for build quality? Good grief

    In the table comparing square footages of competitors' stores in the Phoenix, AZ, area, Copilot had some problems with basic math. The reference store, Contoso Home Improvement, has 88,000 sq. ft. Copilot lists The Home Depot Peoria Store with 112,000 sq. ft. and says that is +29,000 sq ft compared to the reference store with 88,000. That should be +24,000, not +29,000. At the bottom of the table, Copilot lists the Average sq. ft. as 114,000 and says that is +28,000 from the reference of 88,000. However, 114,000 is +26,000 from 88,000, not +28,000. Bad math.

    As someone whos been using Microsoft since the Windows 3.1 days all the way to Windows 11 today, its fascinating how much they invest in innovation and research. But I'm still waiting, hoping and praying MS can buck the innovation trend and not just support and innovate some of us Windows Phone users. That's where Voice and text assistants like Cortana Siri can shine and excel. Most phones seem slower than the PCs at similar price points. Also phones even with smaller underpowered processors essentially become cloud PCs with most processing and storage in massive data servers and farms. AI will evolve, obviously but for now, some artists and designers can create something unique proprietary documents that not just need data protection but ethical coverage too. Lets hope MS enable ethical and ownership protection in cloud pcs smartwatches and whatever smartphones they innovate on.

    3. AI that generates images in layers as editable Photoshop file.

    I hate to say this, but Copilot is way ahead of Siri...and I have been a Mac user for forever. I hope Apple is "secretly" working on something that will compete.

      I think they are. But something interesting about this industry is that it's not about having lots of cash to do new stuff but doing something really well. Not too sure Apple is strong in that aspect

    • @kenhew4641
      @kenhew4641 Рік тому

      @@solaawodiya7360 contrarily I don't think Apple is going into AI. They are more focused on their hardware and their M chips, and would probably just leave the AI stuff to software developers. In fact you can already use Copilot on a Mac if you have Microsoft 365, there's no point in Apple spending research and investment developing AI. Siri was a failure to begin with so that kinda tells you all you need to know where Apple's direction is heading.

  • @LaurenGlenn
    @LaurenGlenn Рік тому +1

    Maybe it's just me but this sounds nice and all, but I don't want some of this constantly wasting processing time to generate. Cortana was a nice-to-have thing at the beginning but after a while, I just turned it off because it just kept slowing things down and just got in the way. That's what this seems like it would be. Also if I'm on my work VPN, none of this will likely be able to be used while I'm on that because they'd be rightfully blocking it from sending data outside the network.
