On top of that when a bear approaches you you have to consider the fact that most people would rather be anywhere else than right there. They're vicious killing machines and no matter how many cartoons or reruns or mascots we see of bears in the world that would tell us they're cuddly and rational creatures, their nature is cold blooded killing machines with extreme bloodthirst and a drive to survive.
I went in watching this movie thinking how it could have possibly even made it into theaters and came out thinking how genius of a movie it is. Like an actual genius script writer/ director could wrote this. Refreshing ass movie, original, not an old movie no one asked to remake, not a sequel (yet?) and had a mix of comedy and suspense. GG
This movie was actually very good. It had the right amount of serious dashed with good comedy scenes! It's up there with Eight Legged freaks for me! I was surprised I found myself rooting for the bear most of the movie too, especially at the end though! For those who don't know, this movie is loosely based on a real event of a grizzly ingesting about 75Ibs of coke but it died too quick to have even had the chance to hurt anyone thankfully, too bad for that bear:(
Finally a movie with top of the line CGI and a rich well-written plot. The way the comedy flows into the horror makes for an exceptional experience, leaving family’s just on the line of wondering what they just watched. Perfect use of an A-List actor who, since Goodfellas, has never not been taken seriously. Just an outstanding casting and downright masterpiece revitalizing confidence for Hollywood in this uncertain time. Oscar winner for sure!
I think what makes this even better is that this movie looks like it actually has somewhat of a budget. With a premise like that you'd expect it to be like a low effort straight to DVD movie but they actually decided to make this a real thing and I kinda love it!

It’s like with Gaspar Noé’s “Climax” if you’ve seen it. Someone did in fact spike the drinks at a french school for dance. But the mayhem that followed was completely fabricated.
In reality the cocaine bear actually ODed and died on the spot after eating all that cocaine. The actual story has nobody getting killed or it going on a rampage. It just charged forward and shortly fell down and died in the middle of the forest. It’s body is now on display but I forgot where.

This movie was actually very good. It had the right amount of serious dashed with good comedy scenes! It's up there with Eight Legged freaks for me! I was surprised I found myself rooting for the bear most of the movie too, especially at the end though! For those who don't know, this movie is loosely based on a real event of a grizzly ingesting about 75Ibs of coke but it died too quick to have even had the chance to hurt anyone thankfully, too bad for that bear:(
it ate a duffelbag I think. It basically overdosed and suffered quite a lot. The fiction is better ;)
Finally a movie with top of the line CGI and a rich well-written plot. The way the comedy flows into the horror makes for an exceptional experience, leaving family’s just on the line of wondering what they just watched. Perfect use of an A-List actor who, since Goodfellas, has never not been taken seriously. Just an outstanding casting and downright masterpiece revitalizing confidence for Hollywood in this uncertain time. Oscar winner for sure!

I think what makes this even better is that this movie looks like it actually has somewhat of a budget. With a premise like that you'd expect it to be like a low effort straight to DVD movie but they actually decided to make this a real thing and I kinda love it!

In reality the cocaine bear actually ODed and died on the spot after eating all that cocaine. The actual story has nobody getting killed or it going on a rampage. It just charged forward and shortly fell down and died in the middle of the forest. It’s body is now on display but I forgot where.
