Only in Theaters December 2
To hell with “all is calm.”
From 87North, the bare-knuckle producers of Nobody, John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Bullet Train and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw comes a holiday action-comedy that says you should always bet on red.
When a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage, the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus (David Harbour, Black Widow, Stranger Things series) is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.
The film also stars Emmy winner John Leguizamo (John Wick), Cam Gigandet (Without Remorse), Alex Hassell (Cowboy Bebop), Alexis Louder (The Tomorrow War), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones) and Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise).
Directed by razor-edged Norwegian director Tommy Wirkola (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Dead Snow franchise), Violent Night is produced by 87North’s Kelly McCormick David Leitch and Guy Danella. The original screenplay is by Pat Casey & Josh Miller, the writers of Sonic the Hedgehog. The film’s executive producer is Marc S. Fischer.
Universal Pictures will distribute the film in all territories.

It’s not the Christmas movie we need, it’s the Christmas movie we deserve
Hell to the yes!
Amen to that.
PRAISE JESUS!
It's not the Christmas movie we deserve (today's society doesn't deserve a Christmas movie), but it's the Christmas movie we need
It's complicated
I bet that the creative team on this movie just said what If die hard was actually a Christmas movie and now we’re getting this masterpiece
No, they literally just stole the idea from Scrooged, it has a commercial for a fake movie called The Night the Reindeer Died.
You're telling me that Die Hard isn't already a Christmas movie?

Oh it’s a Christmas movie alright… but Bruce did say on the record it’s not one. It is though!
@@StealthyZombie Bruce is human, he can be wrong.
Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Period.
I saw this last night. It's so good.
It's violent and bloody, and yet somehow still an utterly sincere Christmas movie.
As Santa might say, it's Christmas magic, but I'm not really sure how it works.
I might be watchable without the pandering diversity but thats Hollywood

Why is David Harbour so good at playing characters who look like someone's dad yet be a badass at the same time? Him as Santa looks awesome!

That crazy uncle who owns an F-350 with a machine gun mount.

@@BoloBouncer dead ass?
Orrrr, is Santa so good at playing David Harbour??
Soooo basically a remake of the night the reindeer died?
I love how pure Santa's heart is despite the killings. His two reasons to kill were 1) the girl asking for help was on the nice list and 2) everyone who put her family hostage were on the naughty list already. I really want to watch this!
that was honestly so cute somehow 😭
We dont need the PC. Nope
But now Vixen's in therapy, and Donner's still nervous, and the elves all got jobs working for the Postal Service. And they say Mrs. Clause, she's on the phone every night with her lawyer negotiating the movie rights.

By far, the best christmas movie ever! The casts, plot, dialogue, action, it's all absolutely marvelous!
This movie had NO RIGHT to be as f#$%ING AMAZING as it was.
Finally a violent Santa movie where he's the good guy instead of a deranged serial killer
I agree, killer Santa movies have been done to death. But now an action hero Santa movie, that's a refreshing change of pace.

Classic song. My dad used to play it to me when he got home late. The drum part anyway...
What a beautiful comment sir, you have a great day!
I definitely need to see this - David Harbor as Santa? Yes, please! I'm not sure how they managed to make this feel wholesome and kickass at the same time, but I love it! ^_^
Believe me when I say it manages to combine those 2 elements amazingly! I just saw it, and I absolutely loved it!
I just bought the Blu-Ray today.
VIOLENT NIGHT II is currently being Filmed. Please Stand By.
Honestly I love this. Movies like this tend to be a psycho masquerading as Santa(silent night deadly night) or it's some sort of evil version like krampus. I love the idea that Santa just found himself in a house invasion, and is going to kick ass to protect the children.
I hope the reindeer get to do some cool shit too.
It is cool that Santa is gonna murder some fools to save a kid. Although him checking his list when she calls him gives me the vibe that if a naughty kid was in that house he’d just up and leave them to their fate
dude exactly! I love the corny, sweet, feel-good "santa is real" movies, and having an R-rated one with all the jokes to accompany is gonna be just great.
i started to see silent night deadly night on tubi and couldn't finish it its just not my cup of tea!
Die Hard meeta Fred Clause
Yeah! Personally, I want Rudolph to have a nose laser.
“Time for some seasons beatings.” Is so campy, but delivered perfectly. This is going to be just one of those fun action comedy movies that everyone can tell the actors had a blast being apart of.

Every year from now on we need a new David Harbour Christmas action movie. This needs to become a serie!
Seeing David Harbour as Santa Claus was something I didn't know I needed in my life until now...

Looks fun as hell. Finally something that isn’t about a evil Santa but just a bad ass Santa protecting a family from home invasion.
Which is funny itself seeing as how Santa is usually the one invading homes. 😂
John Leguizamo & David Harbour; it should be good 🙂
I hate killer Santa movies. One, they bastardize and slander the jolly old elf and two, they been done to death already. But a badass action hero Santa movie is a refreshing change of pace.
@@kidprime6863 ehh krampus is still top tier to me

Making Santa a vigilante is exactly the type of Christmas film we need.
Yeah easy to rip off Mel Gibson’s fat man
He’s not exactly a vigilante just basically a brutal man
Its already been done. Goldberg has already been an evil santa but this looks like its professionaly done rather low end so who knows whats gonna be better?

I never thought I’d be happy to watch a trailer where Santa goes all John Wick but now It brought a tear of joy to my eye.
2 things I kind of need from this movie.
1.) Santa crawling through air ducts.
2.) Jumping off of a roof with a fire hose rapped around him.
If there was a cameo from Nakitomi Plaza, that would be a MAJOR +!
He pretty much just went Hopper lol
It is from the producers of Nobody; so, it makes sense.
A tear in my eye as well. The "naughty list" in this movie is magic 😎🎅🎄
lately i was feeling that most of the new movies and series are pure garbage, but this thing got me hyped hahaha
This movie was exactly like I was expecting, AND I LOVED IT!! R-RATED ACTION PACKED!!!
"I steer a little but the reindeers do most of the work" LOLOLOL. It had me with that first joke. Can't wait to see this.
Based on the trailer alone I think we can reasonably state that this might be one of the, if not THE greatest Christmas film ever made 🙃
Die hard, Santa Claus, any of the claymation movies of old, let’s see how this sizes up
You didn't watch Fatman?
So true Garret.
Die Hard 🤣😅
Only if Cousin Eddie shows up.
Honestly, it's like Santa's Slay but way more heroic. Those random gunners are also like the assassin group what Krampus always wanted to have. And that'll be nice to have a surprising plot twist for most fans
YES!!! That is pretty similar to the horror comedy starring Goldberg, this film looks like an absolute blast and I’m here for it.
Yeah, I love the fact that Santa is fighting crime and saving a family!
its like die hard and the grinch had a fucked up mash up by john wick genes and created a brutal movie its beautiful 🥲
Thats exactly what I thought.
I saw the title and thought of Santa's Slay. Looks to be pretty good too.
This is like the first movie i watch on a date and fr. The gore and killing elements is the right mood for a date
1:37 she invited weird kid to a party. I guess Santa really had to put that too huh😂
It's kind of refreshing to see a Santa movie where he isn't just some mystical man or an evil monster. He's just a dude who loves his job (and knows how to kick ass because I'm pretty sure he was viking in some legends)
@Gator Nuggets It's also theorized that he is loosely based off of old shamans that would dress in red and white and drop magic mushrooms down the villagers chimneys
@Gator Nuggets St Nicolas was a real person from Turkey around 300AD.
St. Nicholas is where the original story came from.
Yeah idk where yall get this he's based off a real person lmao
An aspect of Odin, The Highfather.
