  • Blondie is an American comic strip created by Murat Bernard "Chic" Young and syndicated by King Features Syndicate. It has been published in newspapers since September 8, 1930. The success of the comic strip led to a long-run Blondie film series (1938-1950) and a popular Blondie radio program (1939-1950).

    Thank you for uploading. Radio Drama was very popular in the pre TV days. This is so well preserved, the sound is perfect! 🌲🍷

    You can watch all the movies on movies TV Saturday mornings.. Radio episodes are great

    When the series originally appeared on CBS' Monday night schedule at 7:30pm(et), there was no live audience in attendance.

    In the description the TV series was not mentioned AND no mention of Penny Singleton or Arthur Lake. I loved the movie on TV when I was a kid.

    It's often said that "The Great Gildersleeve" is considered the first sitcom. But this predates Gildersleeve by 2 years.

      You do.know goddesses was a spin off from fiber Magee and molly? Kinda kills that gi!dersleeve was the first sitcom then.

      What a coincidence , lol, Penny Singleton was the voice of Jane on "The Jetsons" , and Janet Waldo was the voice of her daughter , Judy.

    I tried listening to another Blondie episode once, but the riotous laugh track turned me off. Thanks for removing it!
